Community Wireless Networks define the next generation wireless services. Multimedia usages for financial services over community Wireless LAN (WLAN) based mesh networks require link stability. Several new services are being proposed for multimedia over WLANs. Portable Internet Services are implemented by several wireless carriers to proliferate their customer base. However, these services are still expensive and require a central telecom/wireless carrier whose monopoly and preference defines the availability of new services. Our research project identifies the usage of these critical services in public places over the financial services backbone architecture to provide efficient easy-to-use and economical services to their customers and merchants without being dependent on the central wireless carrier. The user connects to the network using his regular WLAN NIC using the Mesh Router/Bridge interconnectivity and obtains the needed multimedia and financial services from the ATM-AP Gateway, In our proposed scenario, the ATN AP-MR use AODV protocol and MR-MC is based on 802.11g/a/b IEEE standard. We use multi path routing protocols for reducing the congestion over a particular route. We demonstrate the results of our simulations and test-bed outcome to evaluate link failure rate and oversubscription factors to eliminate network congestion and non-availability of the critical financial services.

A vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) consists of vehicles that form a network without any additional infrastructure, thus allowing the vehicles to communicate with each other. VANETs have unique characteristics, including high node mobility and rapidly changing network topology. Because of these characteristics, routing algorithms based on greedy forwarding such as greedy perimeter stateless routing (GPSR) are known to be very suitable for a VANET. However, greedy forwarding just selects the node nearest to the destination node as a relay node within its transmission range. This increases the possibility of a local maximum and link loss because of the high mobility of vehicles and the road characteristics in urban areas. Therefore, this paper proposes a reliability-improving position-based routing (RIPR) algorithm to solve those problems. The RIPR algorithm predicts the positions, velocities, and moving directions of vehicles after receiving beacon messages, and estimates information about road characteristics to select the relay node. Thus, it can reduce the possibility of getting a local maximum and link breakage. Simulation results using ns-2 revealed that the proposed routing protocol performs much better than the existing routing protocols based on greedy forwarding.
IMT-2000 시스템 모델은 PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node) 또는 IWF(Interworking Function)기능이 각 기지국에 존재하는 분산된 모델을 사용한다.
Abstract Many emerging multimedia applications often require a guaranteed quality of service and multicast connection. But the traditional multicast protocol can't meet the needs since the routing mechanisms deployed in today's Internet are focused on connectivity, not on resource availability in the network or QoS requirements of flows. In this paper, we present LayeredQoS, a new QoS-based multicast routing algorithm. We adopt the multiple CPs(Central Points) and allocate QoS-levels for each CP in order to improve the degree of resource sharing and decrease the total tree cost, and then network throughput is increased. The proposed protocol is verified by simulations and it is shown that the performance of LayeredQoS is much better than the existing protocols.
The network coding mechanism has attracted much attention because of its advantage of enhanced network throughput which is a desirable characteristic especially in a multi-hop wireless network with limited link capacity such as the device-to-device (D2D) communication network of 5G. COPE proposes to use the XOR-based network coding in the two-hop wireless network topology. For multi-hop wireless networks, the Distributed Coding-Aware Routing (DCAR) mechanism was proposed, in which the coding conditions for two flows intersecting at an intermediate node are defined and the routing metric to improve the coding opportunity by preferring those routes with longer queues is designed. Because the routes with longer queues may increase the delay, DCAR is inefficient in delivering real-time multimedia traffic flows. In this paper, we propose a network coding-aware routing protocol for multi-hop wireless networks that enhances DCAR by considering traffic load distribution and link quality. From this, we can achieve higher network throughput and lower end-to-end delay at the same time for the proper delivery of time-sensitive data flow. The Qualnet-based simulation results show that our proposed scheme outperforms DCAR in terms of throughput and delay.
본 논문은 이러한 네트워크 트래픽의 부하를 네트워크 가상화 기술인 SDN(Software Defined Network)을 이용하여 최소화하고, 여기에 SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol)를 이용하여 보다 더 효율적인 네트워크 관리를 하려한다.
