해외 집합주택의 공유공간 계획특성 연구 - 유럽, 일본, 중미지역사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Design Characteristics of Communal Spaces in multi-family Houses - Focused on Case Studies on Europe, Japan and Middle America -)

  • The purpose of this research is to find applicable design characteristics of communal spaces in multi-family houses. With this goal, international multi-family housing projects are selected and their communal spaces are identified. The purpose of study lies in analyzing on recent 10 years trends of shared space of multi-family houses in Europe, Japan, central America. The design characteristics of the communal spaces are analyzed with a special focus on the four Aspects such as Organization of space, access roads, parking, pedestrian movement In terms of the framework for analysis, community, rest, separability, rambling, territory, distribution, entrance, openness, view, prospect and aesthetic characteristics are reviewed. As a result, the communal space of the analysis are integrated in plans and sections throughout the multi-family houses. Openness and connection with surrounding urban environments are articulated by communal spaces. Communal identities and aesthetics are emphasized by various space for dweller and the other inhabitant. For a further research, it is necessary to combine a design method study with new multi-family houses for the future.

  • This study focuses on the operating requirements of multi-resolution modeling(MRM) in training war-game model and proposes solutions for major issues of multi-resolution interoperation between Combat21 model and tank multi-purpose simulator(TMPS). We study the operating requirements of MRM through interviews with defense M&S experts and literature surveys and report the various issues that could occur with low-resolution model Combat21 and high-resolution model TMPS linked, for example, when to switch objects, what information to exchange, what format to switch to, and how to match data resolutions. This study also addresses the purpose and concept of training using multi-resolution interoperation, role of each model included in multi-resolution interoperation, and issue of matching damage assessments when interoperated between models with different resolutions. This study will provide the common goals and directions of MRM research to MRM researchers, defense modeling & simulation organizations and practitioners.

  • The battlefield environment in the maritime has been changed by advanced IT technology, variation of naval warfare condition, and developed military science and technology. In addition, state-of-the-art surface combatants has become to multi-purpose battleship that is heavily armed in order to meet actively in composed future sea battlefield condition and perform multi-purpose missions as well as having capability of strategic strike. To maximize the combat strength and survivability of ship, it is not only possible for Zumwalt(DDG-1000) class combatant to conduct multi-purpose mission with advanced weapon system installation, innovative hull form and upper structure such as deckhouse, shipboard high-powered sensor, total ship computing environment, and integrated power control but it was designed so that can be installed with energy based weapon systems in immediate future. Zumwalt class combatant has been set a high value with enormous threatening surface battleship in the present, it seems to be expected that this ship will be restraint means during operation in the littoral. The advent of Zumwalt class battleship in the US Navy can be constructed as a powerful intention of naval strength building for preparing future warfare. It is required surface ship that can be perform multi-purpose mission when the trend of constructed surface combatants was analyzed. In addition, shipboard system has been continuously modernized to keep the optimized ship and maximize the survivability with high-powered detection and surveillance sensor as well as modularity of combat system to efficient operation.

  • Accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) is a powerful detection technique with the exquisite sensitivity and high precision compared with other traditional analytical techniques. Accelerator mass spectrometry can be widely applied in the technique of radiocarbon dating in the fields of archeology, geology and oceanography. The ability of accelerator mass spectrometry to measure rare 14C concentrations in microgram and even sub-microgram amounts suggests that extension of 14C-accelerator mass spectrometry to biomedical field is a natural and attractive application of the technology. Drug development processes are costly, risky, and time consuming. However, the use of 14C-accelerator mass spectrometry allows absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (ADME) studies easier to understand pharmacokinetics of drug candidates. Over the last few decades, accelerator mass spectrometry and its applications to preclinical/clinical trials have significantly increased. For accelerator mass spectrometry analysis of biological samples, graphitization processes of samples are important. In this paper, we present a detailed sample preparation procedure to apply to graphitization of biological samples for accelerator mass spectrometry.

물 부족량 공급 운영 방식에 의한 다목적댐 물 공급의 안정성 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Water Supply for a Multi-purpose Dam by Deficit-Supply Operation)

  • 본 연구에서는 물 부족량 공급 운영 방식(deficit-supply)에 의해 다목적댐을 모의 운영하고 그 결과 얻어진 저수량을 기반으로 댐별 물공급의 안정성을 평가할 수있는 방법을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방법을 16개 다목적댐에 적용하였으며, 그 결과를 통해 댐별 물 공급 안정성을 평가하였다. 평가 결과, 소양강댐, 충주댐, 횡성댐, 안동댐, 임하댐 및 합천댐의 안정성이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 섬진강댐과 부안댐의 안정성이 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 평가되었다. 특히 부안댐은 신뢰도, 회복도, 취약도에 있어 가장 낮은 수준의 평가 결과를 나타내고 있어 물 공급 안정성을 향상시키기 위한 대책이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

상관 다기능 저류지 조성의 경제적 편익 평가(I): 환경개선용수 공급편익을 중심으로 (Assessment of Economic Value of Sangkwan Multi-Purpose Reservoir (I): Benefits of Environmentally-Enhancing Water)

  • 본 연구는 상관 다기능 저류지의 조성을 가상적으로 설정하여 환경개선용수 공급편익을 추정하고자 한다. 이를 위해 국민들의 지불의사액(WTP, willingness to pay)을 유도할 수 있는 설문조사기법인 조건부 가치측정법을 적용한다. 조사결과 많은 응답자들은 영의 WTP를 밝혔다. 이러한 영의 WTP를 다루기 위해 본 연구에서는 스파이크 모형을 적용한다. 분석결과 환경개선용수 공급편익은 사업지에 대해 가구당 연간 1,393.7원, 비사업지에 대해 가구당 연간 2,237.7원으로 추정되었다. 이 값을 전국으로 확장하면 연간 383.6억원에 달한다. 이러한 분석결과는 환경개선용수의 공급편익과 관련된 투자의 적정수준 결정 및 관리정책 결정에 있어서 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 이수목적 수량관리를 위한 보장수량과 수력발전 등을 고려한 최적화 기법은 이상가뭄 또는 특이 수문년을 포함하는 경우에는 적용에 한계가 있다. 이러한 관점에서 Hashimoto 등(1982)에 의해 제안된 물부족에 관련된 3가지 평가기준을 혼합정수계획법을 통해 최적화모형에 반영하기 위한 Moy 등(1986)과 Srinivasan 등(1999)에 의해 제시된 바 있다. 그러나 이들 연구는 용수공급용 단일 저수지에 대해 한정되어 발전을 포함하는 다목적댐에 적용할 수 있는 정식화 연구는 부진한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 다목적댐의 용수공급 및 수력발전 최적화 문제에 위험도 평가기준을 도입하여 운영평가를 위한 정식화 형태를 개선하였으며, 개선된 모형을 금강수계 대청다목적댐에 적용하여 그 실효성을 평가하였다.

Navigation Augmentation in Urban Area by HALE UAV with Onboard Pseudolite during Multi-Purpose Missions

  • Among various applications of the High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), this paper has a focus on the Global Positioning System (GPS) utilizing pseudolite and its improved performance, particularly during the multi-purpose missions. In a multi-purpose mission, the HALE UAV follows a specified flight trajectory for both navigation applications and missions. Some of the representative HALE missions are remote exploration, surveillance, reconnaissance, and communication relay. During these operations, the HALE UAV can also be an additional positioning signal source as it broadcast signals using pseudolite. The pseudolite signal can improve the availability, accuracy, and reliability of the GPS particularly in areas with poor signal reception, such as shadowed regions between tall buildings. The improvement in performance of navigation is validated through simulations of multi-purpose missions of the solar-powered HALE UAV in an urban canyon. The simulation includes UAV trajectory generation at stratosphere and uses actual geographical building data. The results indicate that the pseudolite-equipped HALE UAV has the potential to enhance the performance of the satellite navigation system in navigationally degraded regions even during multi-purpose operations.

Boundary condition coupling methods and its application to BOP-integrated transient simulation of SMART

  • The load-following operation of small modular reactors (SMRs) requires accurate prediction of transient behaviors that can occur in the balance of plants (BOP) and the nuclear steam supply system (NSSS). However, 1-D thermal-hydraulics analysis codes developed for safety and performance analysis have conventionally excluded the BOP from the simulation by assuming ideal boundary conditions for the main steam and feed water (MS/FW) systems, i.e., an open loop. In this study, we introduced a lumped model of BOP fluid system and coupled it with NSSS without any ideal boundary conditions, i.e., in a closed loop. Various methods for coupling boundary conditions at MS/FW were tested to validate their combination in terms of minimizing numerical instability, which mainly arises from the coupled boundaries. The method exhibiting the best performance was selected and applied to a transient simulation of an integrated NSSS and BOP system of a SMART. For a transient event with core power change of 100-20-100%, the simulation exhibited numerical stability throughout the system without any significant perturbation of thermal-hydraulic parameters. Thus, the introduced boundary-condition coupling method and BOP fluid system model can expectedly be employed for the transient simulation and performance analysis of SMRs requiring daily load-following operations.

미(美)의 암묵적 이론과 외모지향성이 다목적 제품에 대한 소비자 인식에 미치는 영향 (The Role of Implicit Theory of Beauty and Appearance Orientation on Consumers' Perceptions of Multi-Purpose Products)

  • 다양한 업계에서 한 번에 여러 가지 기능을 수행하는 '다목적' 제품을 출시하는 브랜드들이 늘고 있다. 그러나 소비자들이 다목적 제품과 이를 제공하는 브랜드에 대한 인식 관련 연구는 아직 많이 이루어지지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 소비자들이 미(美) 에 대해 갖고 있는 암묵적 이론이 다목적 제품 관련 지식과 브랜드 지식에 미치는 영향을 연구한다. 외모 지향성이 높은 소비자들 사이에서, 미(美)에 대한 증가(vs. 실체) 이론(즉, 본인의 아름다움은 타고난 것이 아닌, 노력에 의해 변화시킬 수 있는 것이라는 믿음)이 강할 수록 다목적 제품에 대한 선호도가 감소한다는 것을 발견하였다. 또한, 이는 전반적인 브랜드 평가에도 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구 결과는 제품/브랜드 관련 지식경영에 있어, 소비자들의 암묵적 이론과 그에 따른 선호도를 고려해야 한다는 것을 시사한다.
