UHDTV를 위한 MIMO 전송 시스템 성능 분석 및 설계 (Performance Analysis and Design of MIMO Systems for Terrestrial Transmission of UHDTV)

  • 본 논문에서는 MIMO(multi-input multi-output) 시스템을 적용하여 지상파 UHDTV 시스템을 구현하기 위한 전송 시스템을 제시하였다. 차세대 UHDTV 시스템이 필요로 하는 높은 전송량을 달성하기 위하여 기존의 MIMO(multi input multi output) 전송 방식인 STBC(space time block code), 하이브리드 STBC, V-BLAST 및 선형분산코드(linear dispersion matrix)를 이용한 송신 기법을 고려하였다. 이 중에서 대표적인 세 가지 MIMO 전송 기법의 심볼 오류 성능 및 복잡도를 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 평가하였다. 이를 통하여 UHDTV 시스템의 전송량을 달성하기 위한 최적의 송 수신 안테나 개수와 MIMO 파라미터 제시 및 세 개의 MIMO 전송 기법의 장단점을 비교 분석하여 가장 적합한 시스템을 제안하였다.

복합 다단 기어장치 메커니즘의 생성 및 초기설계 (Generation and Preliminary Design of Compound Multi-Stage Gear Drive Mechanisms)

  • In recent years, the need for multi-stage gear drives which highly reduce output speed has been increased. However, the design of multi-stage gear drives has been carried out by a limited number of experts. The consideration for the direction of input and output axes also makes their design very difficult. The purpose of this study is to develop an algorithm for automatically generating complex multi-stage gear drives and to implement a design supporting system for multi-stage gear drives. There are 4 stages in the proposed algorithm, and major design parameters, such as the direction of input and output axes, reduction ratio, etc. are set up in the first stage. In the second stage, all mechanisms are generated, and various rules are applied to select feasible mechanisms. In the third stage, the gear ratio of each stage is divided from total gear ratio. Next, the specifications of gears for feasible mechanisms are calculated and their bending strength and surface durability are estimated. In the forth stage, appraised indexes are calculated and provided to support the estimation of the generated gear drives.

사출성형공정에서 다수 품질 예측에 적용가능한 다중 작업 학습 구조 인공신경망의 정확성에 대한 연구 (A study on the accuracy of multi-task learning structure artificial neural network applicable to multi-quality prediction in injection molding process)

  • In this study, an artificial neural network(ANN) was constructed to establish the relationship between process condition prameters and the qualities of the injection-molded product in the injection molding process. Six process parmeters were set as input parameter for ANN: melt temperature, mold temperature, injection speed, packing pressure, packing time, and cooling time. As output parameters, the mass, nominal diameter, and height of the injection-molded product were set. Two learning structures were applied to the ANN. The single-task learning, in which all output parameters are learned in correlation with each other, and the multi-task learning structure in which each output parameters is individually learned according to the characteristics, were constructed. As a result of constructing an artificial neural network with two learning structures and evaluating the prediction performance, it was confirmed that the predicted value of the ANN to which the multi-task learning structure was applied had a low RMSE compared with the single-task learning structure. In addition, when comparing the quality specifications of injection molded products with the prediction values of the ANN, it was confirmed that the ANN of the multi-task learning structure satisfies the quality specifications for all of the mass, diameter, and height.

  • This paper presents characteristics of piezo transformer for AC-DC converter. This transformer uses transverse vibration mode and the origin of the structure was the ring dot type transformer. Because, the ring dot type transformers produce only step-up phenomenon, we made a multi-layered ring dot structure for a step-down output. The characteristics of the transformer were simulated by using the ANSYS. And frequency and voltage were measured by changing the load resistance and current. Frequencies that have the maximum output voltage and current were gradually increased, when the resistance were increased. Output voltage and current show a stable linearity according to the input voltage. The maximum output power was expected greater than 20 [W]. So, we expect that this type of multi-layered step-down ring dot transformer can be adopted for a small AC adapters.

Fixed-Complexity Sphere Encoder for Multi-User MIMO Systems

  • In this paper, we propose a fixed-complexity sphere encoder (FSE) for multi-user multi-input multi-output (MU-MIMO) systems. The proposed FSE accomplishes a scalable tradeoff between performance and complexity. Also, because it has a parallel tree-search structure, the proposed encoder can be easily pipelined, leading to a tremendous reduction in the precoding latency. The complexity of the proposed encoder is also analyzed, and we propose two techniques that reduce it. Simulation and analytical results demonstrate that in a $4{\times}4$ MU-MIMO system, the proposed FSE requires only 11.5% of the computational complexity needed by the conventional QR decomposition with M-algorithm encoder (QRDM-E). Also, the encoding throughput of the proposed encoder is 7.5 times that of the QRDM-E with tolerable degradation in the BER performance, while achieving the optimum diversity order.

  • In case of operating at Variable speed the induction motor by a frequency transformer, it will cause ripples in motor torque and considerably bad effects on the machines because the output side of the frequency transformer involves a great number of harmonics. This paper Presents the methods of decreasing torque ripples in induction motor and of improving current waveform, by means of forming the waveforms of output current into multi-step waveforms similiar to sinusoid, and also by means of eliminating the harmonic components maximally, in case of operating a 18-phase multi-inverter combining 3-step current source inverter.

Ensemble Model Output Statistics를 이용한 평창지역 다중 모델 앙상블 결합 및 보정 (A Combination and Calibration of Multi-Model Ensemble of PyeongChang Area Using Ensemble Model Output Statistics)

  • The objective of this paper is to compare probabilistic temperature forecasts from different regional and global ensemble prediction systems over PyeongChang area. A statistical post-processing method is used to take into account combination and calibration of forecasts from different numerical prediction systems, laying greater weight on ensemble model that exhibits the best performance. Observations for temperature were obtained from the 30 stations in PyeongChang and three different ensemble forecasts derived from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, Ensemble Prediction System for Global and Limited Area Ensemble Prediction System that were obtained between 1 May 2014 and 18 March 2017. Prior to applying to the post-processing methods, reliability analysis was conducted to identify the statistical consistency of ensemble forecasts and corresponding observations. Then, ensemble model output statistics and bias-corrected methods were applied to each raw ensemble model and then proposed weighted combination of ensembles. The results showed that the proposed methods provide improved performances than raw ensemble mean. In particular, multi-model forecast based on ensemble model output statistics was superior to the bias-corrected forecast in terms of deterministic prediction.

  • 본 논문은 자기부상열차용 전원의 문제점을 개선시키기 위해서 다중루프 제어기를 제시하였다. 제시된 제어기는 3개의 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 첫 번째는 입력전압의 변동에 대하여 보상할 수 있는 Feed Forward제어기이며 두 번째는 리액터 전류와 출력 전류의 차를 보상하며, 세 번째는 비례적분제어기를 사용하여 출력전압에 포함된 리플을 감소시키므로써, 안정화된 시스템을 구현하였다. 이 시스템의 특성을 확인하기 위해서 Matlab Simulink와 고성능 DSP소자인 TMS320F240을 이용하여 비교 분석하였다.

  • This paper presents the output filter design and the output characteristic analysis by cut-off frequency set up of the LCR filter on NPC multi-level inverter with trap-filter. The single-phase NPC three-level inverter operates at low switching frequency. The proposed LC trap filter is comprised of a conventional LCR output filter, by using LC trap filter the need for high damping resistor and low LC cut-off frequency is eliminated. Also. low damping resistor is increased the output filter system. The multilevel inverter system used NPC type inverter in proper system for high power application and controller is used DSP(TMS320C31). The effectiveness of proposed system confirmed the validity through SPICE simulation and experimental results.

Design and Implementation of a Multi Level Three-Phase Inverter with Less Switches and Low Output Voltage Distortion

  • This paper proposes and describes the design and operational principles of a three-phase three-level nine switch voltage source inverter. The proposed topology consists of three bi-directional switches inserted between the source and the full-bridge power switches of the classical three-phase inverter. As a result, a three-level output voltage waveform and a significant suppression of load harmonics contents are obtained at the inverter output. The harmonics content of the proposed multilevel inverter can be reduced by half compared with two-level inverters. A Fourier analysis of the output waveform is performed and the design is optimized to obtain the minimum total harmonic distortion. The full-bridge power switches of the classical three-phase inverter operate at the line frequency of 50Hz, while the auxiliary circuit switches operate at twice the line frequency. To validate the proposed topology, both simulation and analysis have been performed. In addition, a prototype has been designed, implemented and tested. Selected simulation and experimental results have been provided.
