A kind of modified epoxy resin sheet molding compounds of the impeller has been designed. Through the test, the non-metal impeller has a better environmental aging performance, but must do the waterproof processing design. In order to improve the stability of the impeller vibration design, the influence of uncertainty factors is considered, and a multi-objective robust optimization method is proposed to reduce the weight of the impeller. Firstly, based on the fluid-structure interaction, the analysis model of the impeller vibration is constructed. Secondly, the optimal approximate model of the impeller is constructed by using the Latin hypercube and radial basis function, and the fitting and optimization accuracy of the approximate model is improved by increasing the sample points. Finally, the micro multi-objective genetic algorithm is applied to the robust optimization of approximate model, and the Monte Carlo simulation and Sobol sampling techniques are used for reliability analysis. By comparing the results of the deterministic, different sigma levels and different materials, the multi-objective optimization of the SMC molding impeller can meet the requirements of engineering stability and lightweight. And the effectiveness of the proposed multi-objective robust optimization method is verified by the error analysis. After the SMC molding and the robust optimization of the impeller, the optimized rate reached 42.5%, which greatly improved the economic benefit, and greatly reduce the vibration of the ventilation system.
This paper proposes an augmented Lagrange Hopfield network (ALHN) based method for solving multi-objective short term fixed head hydrothermal scheduling problem. The main objective of the problem is to minimize both total power generation cost and emissions of $NO_x$, $SO_2$, and $CO_2$ over a scheduling period of one day while satisfying power balance, hydraulic, and generator operating limits constraints. The ALHN method is a combination of augmented Lagrange relaxation and continuous Hopfield neural network where the augmented Lagrange function is directly used as the energy function of the network. For implementation of the ALHN based method for solving the problem, ALHN is implemented for obtaining non-dominated solutions and fuzzy set theory is applied for obtaining the best compromise solution. The proposed method has been tested on different systems with different analyses and the obtained results have been compared to those from other methods available in the literature. The result comparisons have indicated that the proposed method is very efficient for solving the problem with good optimal solution and fast computational time. Therefore, the proposed ALHN can be a very favorable method for solving the multi-objective short term fixed head hydrothermal scheduling problems.

In this paper, an improved multi-objective optimmum design method is proposed. And it is applied to steel frames under seismic loads. The multi-objective optimization problem is formulated with three optimality criteria, namely, minimum structural weight and maximum strain energy and stability. The Pareto curve can be obtained by performing the multi-objective optimization for multistory shear buildings. In order to efficiently solve the multi-objective optimization problem the decomposition method that separates both system-level and element-level is used. In addition, various techniques such as effective reanalysis technique with respect to intermediate variables and sensitivity analysis using an automatic differentiation (AD) we incorporated. Moreover, the relationship function among section properties induced from the profile is used in order to link system-level and element level. From the results of numerical investigation, it may be stated that the proposed method will lead to the more rational design compared with the conventional one.
This paper Presents the optimum design of Brushless DC Motor using multi-objective function Neural Network to maximize efficiency and Ratio of Torque Per unit weight.
Optimization is a process that searches an optimal solution to obtain maximum or minimum value of an objective function. Many researchers have focused on effective search algorithms for the optimum but few researches were interested in establishing the objective function. This study compares two approaches for the objective function: one allows a tradeoff among the objectives and the other does not allow a tradeoff by assigning weights for the absolute priority between the objectives. An optimization model using sampling stochastic dynamic programming was applied to these two objective functions and the resulting optimal policies were compared. As a result, the objective function with no tradeoff provides a decision making process that matches practical reservoir operations than that with a tradeoff allowed. Therefore, it is more reasonable to establish the objective function with no a tradeoff among the objectives for multi-purpose dam operation plan in Korea.

Most existing wavelet-based multiplicative watermarking methods are affected by geometric attacks to a certain extent. A serious limitation of wavelet-based multiplicative watermarking is its sensitivity to rotation, scaling, and translation. In this study, we propose an image watermarking method by using dual-tree complex wavelet transform with a multi-objective optimization approach. We embed the watermark information into an image region with a high entropy value via a multiplicative strategy. The major contribution of this work is that the trade-off between imperceptibility and robustness is simply solved by using the multi-objective optimization approach, which applies the watermark error probability and an image quality metric to establish a multi-objective optimization function. In this manner, the optimal embedding factor obtained by solving the multi-objective function effectively controls watermark strength. For watermark decoding, we adopt a maximum likelihood decision criterion. Finally, we evaluate the performance of the proposed method by conducting simulations on benchmark test images. Experiment results demonstrate the imperceptibility of the proposed method and its robustness against various attacks, including additive white Gaussian noise, JPEG compression, scaling, rotation, and combined attacks.

An optimal power control algorithm based on convex optimization is proposed for base stations in long term evolution networks. An objective function was formulated to maximize the proportional fairness of the networks. The optimal value of the objective function was obtained using convex optimization and distributed methods based on the path loss model between the base station and users. Field tests on live networks were conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm. The experimental results verified that, in a multi-cell multi-user scenario, the proposed algorithm increases system throughputs, proportional fairness, and energy efficiency by 9, 1.31 and 20.2 %, respectively, compared to the conventional fixed power allocation method.
This paper describes a topology optimization technique which can maximize the fundamental frequency of the structures. The fundamental frequency maximization is achieved by means of the minimization of modal strain energy as an inverse problem so that the strain energy based resizing algorithm is directly used in this study. The strain energy to be minimized is therefore employed as the objective function and the initial volume of structures is used as the constraint function. Multi-frequency problem is considered by the introduction of the weight which is used to combine several target modal strain energy terms into one scalar objective function. Several numerical examples are presented to investigate the performance of the proposed topology optimization technique. From numerical tests, it is found to be that the proposed optimization technique is extremely effective to maximize the fundamental frequency of structure and can successfully consider the multi-frequency problems in the topology optimization process.

To achieve high precision cutting as well as production capability in the machine tool, it is needed to develop excellent rigidity statically, dynamically and thermally as well. In order to predict the qualitative behavior of a machine tool, simultaneous analysis of mechanics and heat transfer is required. Generally, machine tool designers have solved designing problems based on partial estimation of the specified rigidity. This study clears the inter-relationship between therm, and propose multi-phase optimization of machine tool structure using a genetic algorithm. The multi-phase solution method is consists of a series of mechanical design problem. At this first phase of static design problem, multi-objective optimization for the purpose of minimization of the total weight and static compliance minimization is solved using the Pareto Genetic Algorithm.
Sign-in point of interest (POI) are extremely sparse in location-based social networks, hindering recommendation systems from capturing users' deep-level preferences. To solve this problem, we propose a content-aware POI recommendation algorithm based on a convolutional neural network. First, using convolutional neural networks to process comment text information, we model location POI and user latent factors. Subsequently, the objective function is constructed by fusing users' geographical information and obtaining the emotional category information. In addition, the objective function comprises matrix decomposition and maximisation of the probability objective function. Finally, we solve the objective function efficiently. The prediction rate and F1 value on the Instagram-NewYork dataset are 78.32% and 76.37%, respectively, and those on the Instagram-Chicago dataset are 85.16% and 83.29%, respectively. Comparative experiments show that the proposed method can obtain a higher precision rate than several other newer recommended methods.
