Multi-climbing hydraulic robots are used to lift construction factory (CF) synchronously for applications in the automation of a high-rise building construction. In this study, synchronous motion controller is proposed for the hydraulic robots, whose strategy is not only to make each robot follow the reference path basically by sliding-mode control, but also to synchronize motions of two adjacent cent robots consecutively by cross-coupled control technique. Simulations are performed by using SIMULINK for a system similar to a practical application that includes unbalance in CF and wind disturbance. The results show that the proposed controller significantly reduces synchronous errors, compared to the individual controller for each hydraulic robot.
In this work, we present the development of a 3D lattice-type model at microscale based upon the Voronoi-cell representation of material microstructure. This model can capture the coupling between mechanic and electric fields with non-linear constitutive behavior for both. More precisely, for electric part we consider the ferroelectric constitutive behavior with the possibility of domain switching polarization, which can be handled in the same fashion as deformation theory of plasticity. For mechanics part, we introduce the constitutive model of plasticity with the Armstrong-Frederick kinematic hardening. This model is used to simulate a complete coupling of the chosen electric and mechanics behavior with a multiscale approach implemented within the same computational architecture.

in this paper, the propagation characteristics of the dominant modes in multiple coupled microstrip lines on a magnetized ferrite substrate are analyzed. The propagation constants and characteristic impedances are calculated by using the spectral domain method. With the numerical results, multi-port impedance parameters as well as scattering parameters are derived from nonreciprocal transmission line equations which are consistent with conventional transmission line theory. In additon, the numerical resutls of nonreciprocal characteristics for various values of structural, material parameters, and external magnetic fields are also presented.
This paper presents a multi-scale hybrid simulation for the design of a catalytic multi-tubular reactor with high performance. The multi-tubular reactor consists of shell and a large number of tubes in which various catalytic chemical reactions occur. To consider fluid dynamics in the shell-side and kinetics in the tube-side at the same time, commercial CFD package and process simulation tool are coupled. This hybrid approach allowed us to predict many kinds of meaningful results such as tube center temperature profile, heat transfer coefficients on the tube wall, temperature rise of cooling medium, pressure drop through shell and tube side, concentration profile of each chemical species along the tube, and so on., and to achieve the optimal reactor design.

In this paper, the analysis of the FSCS (frequency-selected coupling structure) as the coupling coefficient and multi-stage FSCS for enhanced bandstop bandwidth is suggested. The FSCS is composed by the connected coupled-line and open-stub. Basically, the resonance frequency of the FSCS is given by the electrical length of the stub, and the bandwidth is controlled by the coupling coefficient. Multi-stage FSCS is made by addition of another FSCS with the half electrical length. Manufactured bandstop filter using 3 stage FSCS is measured with the stopband of 177.3% and the maximum return loss of 1dB.
An analytical method has been developed to determine multi-elements in human hair samples by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). 0.05 g of hair sample was added to the Teflon digestion bomb together with 1.5 mL of nitric acid and an appropriate amount of In as an internal standard. The sample was then decomposed in the microwave digestion system. The hair certified reference material, GBW 09101, was analyzed for the validation of the analytical method. The determined values were in good agreement with the certified values within the uncertainty range.
In this study, analytical solution of multip-species transport equations coupled with a first-order reaction network under constant concentration boundary condition or total flux boundary condition is obtained using similarity transformation approach of Clement et al. (2000). The study shows the schematic process about how multi-species transport equations with first-order sequential reaction network is transformed through the similarity transformation approach into independent and uncoupled single species transport equations with first-order reaction. The analytical solution was verified through the comparison with popular commercial programs such as 2DFATMIC and RT3D. The analytical solution can be utilized in nuclear waste sites where radioactive contaminants and their daughter products occur and in industrial complex cities where chlorinated solvent such as PCE, TCE, and its biodegradation products produces. In addition, it can help the verification of the developed numerical code.

Virtually every digital signal processors(DSPs) support on-chip multi- memory banks that allow the processor to access multiple words of data from memory in a single instruction cycle. Also, all existing fixed-point DSPs have irregular architecture of heterogeneous register which contains multiple register files that are distributed and dedicated to different sets of instructions. Although there have been several studies conducted to efficiently assign data to multi-memory banks, most of them assumed processors with relatively simple, homogeneous general-purpose resisters. Therefore, several vendor-provided compilers fer DSPs were unable to efficiently assign data to multiple data memory banks. thereby often failing to generate highly optimized code fer their machines. This paper presents an algorithm that helps the compiler to efficiently assign data to multi- memory banks. Our algorithm differs from previous work in that it assigns variables to memory banks in separate, decoupled code generation phases, instead of a single, tightly-coupled phase. The experimental results have revealed that our decoupled algorithm greatly simplifies our code generation process; thus our compiler runs extremely fast, yet generates target code that is comparable In quality to the code generated by a coupled approach
