다분야 설계 제약 조건을 고려한 알루미늄 스페이스 프레임 차체의 최적 설계 (Aluminum Space Frame B.I.W. Optimization Considering Multidisciplinary Design Constraints)

  • This paper presents an ASF (Aluminum Space Frame) BIW optimal design, which minimizes the weight and satisfies multi-disciplinary constraints such as the static stiffness, vibration characteristics, low-speed crash, high-speed crash and occupant protection. As only one cycle CPU time for all the analyses is 12 hours, the ASF design having 11-design variable is a large scaled problem. In this study, ISCD-II and conservative least square fitting method is used for efficient RSM modeling. Then, ALM method is used to solve the approximate optimization problem. The approximate optimum is sequentially added to remodel the RSM. The proposed optimization method used only 20 analyses to solve the 11-design variable design problem. Also, the optimal design can reduce the] $15\%$ of total weight while satisfying all of the multi-disciplinary design constraints.

  • Food industry in Korea is one of the most important manufacturing field since the history of this country. Recent days all industries in the world move to $4^{th}$ industrial revolution beginning from 1st revolution. This means that connections between human to human, human to things and things to things should be settled down. food industry in this country should escape from the conventional manufacturing fields until now and accept new or cutting edge technology NT including artificial intelligence robot system and platform system using Internet of Thing. To overcome the saturation condition of domestic food market, it should be extended our market to overseas. To do this Korean food industry should be reformed the processing system to convergence and fusion inner or multi-disciplinary research in not only research field but also manufacturing field. The food industry must introduce new technology and concept of controlling all manufacturing systems. This paper present the fields should be convergence and the field study together and the new techniques, methods and new products be developed in the future.

Evaluating the Impact of Transportation Infrastructures on Social Equity: A Review Study

  • Evaluating infrastructure's impact on social equity is an emerging area of research in transportation construction engineering. Transportation agencies have been trying to include sustainable development. The three components of sustainable development are environmental protection, social equity, and economic development. Although social equity is one of the essential components of sustainable development, most transportation agencies do not consider this component. The research publications in this area are limited. The principal objective of this study is to synthesize existing studies related to the impact of transportation infrastructures on social equity. This study will also identify social equity indicators, the correlation between social equity and transportation infrastructures and their services, and the impact of transportation infrastructures' on social equity. In addition, this study will identify current issues of social equity and will provide some recommendations. This synthesis study revealed that transportation infrastructures impacted social equity in various ways. Some effects are positive, such as new job creation on the market. Other effects are adverse, such as diminishing socio-economic and environmental degradation. Studies also showed that the current practices evaluated infrastructures' impact on a case-by-case basis. The authors recommend adopting a multi-disciplinary holistic for assessing infrastructure's effects on social equity. The multi-disciplinary fields of study include civil engineers, construction engineers/managers, public policy researchers, environmentalists, and social scientists.

근사 모델과 NSGA-II를 이용한 진공청소기 손잡이 근사최적설계 (Optimization of Vacuum Cleaner Handle Using Approximate Model and NSGA-II)

  • The major parts of a vacuum cleaner are molded. The vacuum cleaner works in multi-load conditions. Therefore, the designer needs to optimize the structure and injection molding conditions simultaneously. Here, the main factor of design is the rib shape and thickness. The greater the rib thickness, the greater the stiffness of the structure. However, it causes an increase in weight. On the other hand, the lower the rib thickness, the greater the increase in the injection pressure. However, the weight will be reduced. Therefore, the designer needs to optimize the rib shape and thickness for structure stiffness and injection molding. In order to solve this problem, we propose an optimization method using D.O.E and a response surface model, which is a multi-objective optimization method using the multi-objective genetic algorithm.

  • Multi-disciplinary optimization design concept can provide a solution to many engineering problems. In the field of structural analysis, much development of size or topology optimization has been achieved in the application of research. This paper demonstrates an optimum design of a multi-layer cylindrical tube which behaves thermoelastically. A multi-layer cylindrical tube that has several different material properties at each layer is optimized within allowable stress and temperature range when mechanical and thermal loads are applied simultaneously. When thermal loads are applied to a multi-layer tube, stress phenomena become complicated due to each layer's thermal expansion and the layer thicknesses. Factors like temperature; stress; and material thermal thicknesses of each tube layer are very difficult undertaking. To analyze these problems using an efficient and precise method, the optimization theories are adopted to perform thermoelastic finite element analysis.

융합적 과학수업에 대한 초등교사의 인식론적 신념과 실행 -조사연구 및 자기연구- (Elementary Teachers' Epistemological Beliefs and Practice on Convergent Science Teaching: Survey and Self-Study)

  • 본 연구는 조사연구와 자기연구의 복합 형태로 구성되었다. 조사연구로서 초등 교사의 융합 수업 및 융합 지식에 대한 인식론적 신념을 조사하였다. 그 결과를 대표하는 사례로서 교사이자 연구자인 "나"를 연구 참여자로 하여 융합 수업을 실행하는 교사로서 나의 융합 수업과 융합 지식에 대한 인식론적 신념을 살펴보고, 속력을 주제로 수학-과학-체육의 가족 유사성에 근거한 융합 과학수업 프로그램을 지도한 양상을 자기연구로 실행하였다. 초등 교사들의 융합 수업과 융합 지식에 대한 인식론적 신념에 대한 개방형 검사 문항을 초등 교사 28명에게 서면 질의 방법으로 조사하였다. 연구에 참여했던 초등 교사들은 융합 수업을 교과 활용적 접근 또는 다학문적 접근의 융합으로 생각하였다. 융합 지식을 개별 교과의 집합체로 인식하고 있었으며, 융합된 지식은 학생 스스로 문제를 해결하는 과정에서 습득할 수 있다는 인식론적 신념을 가지고 있었다. 교사이자 연구자인 나 역시 비슷한 신념을 지니고 있었다. 자기연구를 수행하는 동안 나는 가족유사성의 범주별 분석 결과와 그것에 근거한 융합 지식 체계를 반영하기 위해 노력하였으나, 간학문적 접근의 융합 활동을 구현하는데 어려움이 있었다. 수학의 단위, 비와 비율의 개념은 과학의 속력 개념과 연계되어 있어서 두 교과의 개념을 융합적으로 이해하는데 효과가 있었으며, 체육 활동은 수학과 과학 개념을 융합적으로 학습하기 위한 맥락을 제공하여 간학문적 접근의 융합 수업을 촉진시킬 수 있었다. 가족유사성에 근거한 간학문적 융합 지식 체계와 교사인 나의 인식론적 신념 간의 간극과 해결 양상에 대한 논의가 제시되었다.

  • In recent engineering, the designer has become more and more dependent on the computer simulations such as FEM (Finite Element Method) and BEM (Boundary Element Method). In order to optimize such implicit models more efficiently and reliably, the meta-modeling technique has been developed for solving such a complex problems combined with the DACE (Design and Analysis of Computer Experiments). It is widely used for exploring the engineer's design space and for building meta-models in order to facilitate an effective solution of multi-objective and multi-disciplinary optimization problems. Optimization of a train suspension is performed according to the minimization of forty-six responses that represent ten ride comforts, twelve derailment quotients, twelve unloading ratios, and twelve stabilities by using the Kriging meta-model of a train suspension. After each Kriging meta-model is constructed, multi-objective optimal solutions are achieved by using a nonlinear programming method called SQP (Sequential Quadratic Programming).

  • The purpose of this study was (1) to analyze concept and types of residential mobility (2) to compare of the residential mobility in the fields of different disciplives, and (3) to develop a conceptual framework of residential mobility on the ecosystem approach comparisons of residential mobility concepts in many discipines. The major findings were each disciple played an important role to develop the concept of residential mobility with some limitations. A conceptual frame-work was developed on the basis of these findings.
