With an annual growth rate of about 30%, wind energy systems, such as wind turbines, represent one of the fastest growing renewable energy technologies. Continuous structural health monitoring of wind turbines can help improving structural reliability and facilitating optimal decisions with respect to maintenance and operation at minimum associated life-cycle costs. This paper presents an integrated monitoring system that is designed to support structural assessment and life-cycle management of wind turbines. The monitoring system systematically integrates a wide variety of hardware and software modules, including sensors and computer systems for automated data acquisition, data analysis and data archival, a multiagent-based system for self-diagnosis of sensor malfunctions, a model updating and damage detection framework for structural assessment, and a management module for monitoring the structural condition and the operational efficiency of the wind turbine. The monitoring system has been installed on a 500 kW wind turbine located in Germany. Since its initial deployment in 2009, the system automatically collects and processes structural, environmental, and operational wind turbine data. The results demonstrate the potential of the proposed approach not only to ensure continuous safety of the structures, but also to enable cost-efficient maintenance and operation of wind turbines.
Acinetobacter infections are of great concern in clinical settings because of multi-drug resistance (MDR) and high mortality of the infected patients. The MDR Acinetobacter baumannii has emerged as a significant infectious agent in hospitals worldwide. The purpose of this study was to determine for molecular characterization of MDR A. baumannii clinical isolates obtained from the Wonju Christian Hospital in Gangwon province of Korea. A total of seventy nonduplicate A. baumannii isolates were collected from the Wonju Christian Hospital in Korea from March to April in 2011. All of the MDR A. baumannii isolates were encoded by $bla_{OXA-23-like}$ gene and all isolates with the $bla_{OXA-23-like}$ gene had the upstream element ISAba1 to promote increased gene expression and subsequent resistance to carbapenem. 16S rRNA methylase gene (armA) was detected in 44 clinical isolates which were resistant to amikacin, and phosphotransferase genes encoding aac(3)-Ia and aac(6')-Ib were the most prevalent. A combination of 16S rRNA methylase and aminoglycoside-modifying enzyme genes (armA, aac(3)-Ia, aac(6')-Ib, and aph(3')-Ia) were found in 31 isolates. The sequencing results for the quinolone resistance-determining region (QRDR) of gyrA and parC revealed the presence of Ser (TCA) 83 Leu (TTA) and Ser (TCG) 80 Leu (TTG) substitutions in the respective enzymes for all MDR. Molecular typing for MDR A. baumannii could be helpful in confirming the identification of a common source or cross-contamination. This is an important step in enabling epidemiological tracing of these strains.

This study was performed to evaluate the co- and sequential separation of Tc, Np and U from the simulated multi-component HLW solution by a TBP (tributyl phosphate)-TOA (tri- octyl amine)/NDD $(n-dodecane)-HNO_3$ extraction system. An optimal condition of (30% TBP-0.5% TOA)/NDD-1 M $HNO_3$ was selected by taking account of a prevention of the 3rd phase and effects of concentration of TBP, TOA and nitric acid on the co-extraction of Tc, Np and U. In that condition, the extraction yields were 81% (Tc), 85% (Np), less than 9% (Am and RE elements), about 8% (Pd), and less than 5% (other elements) so that the system developed for the co-extraction of Tc, Np and U was proved to be available. For that, however, more than 99% of Zr was found to be pre-removed. The co-extracted Tc, Np and U were sequentially separated in order of Tc(stripping agent : 5 M $HNO_3$)${\rightarrow}Np$ by reductive stripping (reductive-stripping agent : 0.1 M AHA)${\rightarrow}U$ (stripping agent : 0.01 M $HNO_3$), and then their separation factors were evaluated. At these conditions, 95% of Tc, 98% of Np and 99% of U could be recovered in each step.
In this paper, a disaster response scheme based on deep learning and augmented reality technology is proposed and a network resource reservation scheme is presented accordingly. The features of deep learning, augmented reality technology and its relevance to the disaster areas are explained. Deep learning technology can be used to accurately recognize disaster situations and to implement related disaster information as augmented reality, and to enhance disaster response capabilities by providing disaster response On-site disaster response agent, ICS (Incident Command System) and MCS (Multi-agency Coordination Systems). In the case of various disasters, the fire situation is focused on and it is proposed that a plan to strengthen disaster response capability effectively by providing fire situation recognition based on deep learning and augmented reality information. Finally, a scheme to secure network resources to utilize the disaster response method of this paper is proposed.
This paper deals with reconfigurable secured mobile systems where the reconfigurability has the potential of providing a required adaptability to change the system requirements. The reconfiguration scenario is presented as a run-time automatic operation which allows security mechanisms and the addition-removal-update of software tasks. In particular, there is a definite requirement for filtering and intrusion detection mechanisms that will use fewer resources and also that will improve the security on the secured mobile devices. Filtering methods are used to control incoming traffic and messages, whereas, detection methods are used to detect malware events. Nevertheless, when different reconfiguration scenarios are applied at run-time, new security threats will be emerged against those systems which need to support multiple security objectives: Confidentiality, integrity and availability. We propose in this paper a new approach that efficiently detects threats after reconfigurable scenarios and which is based on filtering and intrusion detection methods. The paper's contribution is applied to Android where the evaluation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed middleware in order to detect the malicious events on reconfigurable secured mobile systems and the feasibility of running and executing such a system with the proposed solutions.
Metal nanoparticles have been intensively studied within the past decade. Nano-sized materials have been an important subject in basic and applied sciences. Zinc oxide nanoparticles have received considerable attention due to their unique antibacterial, antifungal, and UV filtering properties, high catalytic and photochemical activity. In this study, microbiological aspects of scale formation in PVC pipelines bacteria and fungi were isolated. In the emerging issue of increased multi-resistant properties in water borne pathogens, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticle are being used increasingly as antimicrobial agents. Thus, the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) and minimum fungal concentration of ZnO nanoparticles towards pathogens microbe were examined in this study. The results obtained suggested that ZnO nanoparticles exhibit a good anti fungal activity than bactericidal effect towards all pathogens tested in in-vitro disc diffusion method (170 ppm, 100 ppm and 30 ppm). ZnO nanoparticles can be a potential antimicrobial agent due to its low cost of production and high effectiveness in antimicrobial properties, which may find wide applications in various industries to address safety issues. Stable ZnO nanoparticles were prepared and their shape and size distribution characterized by Dynamic light scattering (35.7 nm) and transmission electron microscopic TEM study for morphology identification (20 nm), UV-visible spectroscopy (230 nm), X-ray diffraction (FWHM of more intense peak corresponding to 101 planes located at $36.33^{\circ}$ using Scherrer's formula), FT-IR (Amines, Alcohols, Carbonyl and Nitrate ions), Zeta potential (-28.8). The antimicrobial activity of ZnO nanoparticles was investigated against Bacteria and Fungi present in drinking water PVC pipelines biofilm. In these tests, Muller Hinton agar plates were used and ZnO nanoparticles of various concentrations were supplemented in solid medium.

10 m3/min (CMM) multi-pollutants abatement system was successfully developed by effectively integrating ozone oxidation, wet scrubbing, and wet electrostatic precipitation for the simultaneous removal of particulate matters (PMs) and NOx in a semiconductor fabrication process. The sophisticated control and optimization of operating parameters were conducted to maximize the destruction and removal efficiency of NOx. In particular, the stability test of a wet electrostatic precipitator was carried out in parallel for 30 days to validate the reliability of core parts including a power supply. An O3/NO ratio, which is the most important operating parameter, was optimized to be about 1.5 and the optimization of wet scrubbing with a reducing agent made it possible to analyze the contribution of neutralization reaction.

Cispatin has become one of the most widely used anticancer drugs for decades. One of the drawback of cisplatin (II) complex is that it not only targets cancerous cells but also normal cells causing several serious side effects in patients. We have synthesized Pt(IV) complex that are needed to have the ability to kill target cells selectively in a short time before drug resistance develops. By introducing PDK inhibitor, butyric acid and valproic acid, on Pt complex, two fusion anti-cancer agents 3 and 4 have been synthesized and characterized their structures by nmr and mass spectrometer. MTT assay was performed with $Pt(IV)-Bu_2$ 3 and $Pt(IV)-Val_2$ 4 against MCF-7 cell line. As a result, cisplatin, Pt(IV) complexes 3 and 4 were treated, cell viabilities at $50{\mu}M$ cencentration were decreased to 39%, 54% and 84% respectively.

With the development of artificial intelligence technology, drones are evolving beyond simple remote control tools into intelligent drones that perform missions autonomously. The importance of drones is gradually gaining attention due to the use of drones in overseas military conflicts and the analysis of the future operational environment in Korea. AMAD is proposed for the rapid development of intelligent drones. In order to develop intelligent software based on AMAD, an integrated development environment (IDE) that supports users with functions such as debugging, performance evaluation, and monitoring is essential. In this paper, we define the concepts of the development environment required for intelligent software development and describe the results of reflecting them in the design of the IDE and AMAD's agents, SVI and MPD, which are interfaced with the IDE.
