Implementation of Multi Channel Network Platform based Augmented Reality Facial Emotion Sticker using Deep Learning (딥러닝을 이용한 증강현실 얼굴감정스티커 기반의 다중채널네트워크 플랫폼 구현)

  • Recently, a variety of contents services over the internet are becoming popular, among which MCN(Multi Channel Network) platform services have become popular with the generalization of smart phones. The MCN platform is based on streaming, and various factors are added to improve the service. Among them, augmented reality sticker service using face recognition is widely used. In this paper, we implemented the MCN platform that masks the augmented reality sticker on the face through facial emotion recognition in order to further increase the interest factor. We analyzed seven facial emotions using deep learning technology for facial emotion recognition, and applied the emotional sticker to the face based on it. To implement the proposed MCN platform, emotional stickers were applied to the clients and various servers that can stream the servers were designed.

  • Medical domain is very applicable for multi-agent system because medical information systems need much knowledge and close relationship with medical staff, In this paper, we describe design and implementation of an intelligent medical multi-agent platform that provides medical images'information services. This platform supports a physical environment that medical agents can be deployed following FIPA(Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agent)\`s agent management reference model. To use a variety of components on Windows, COM(Common Object Model) interfaces and XML(extensible Markup Language) for encoding ACL(Agent Communication Language) are used for multi-agent communications. Since many kinds of diverse and close relationships with medical staff) are essential, a medical staff is conceptualized as an agent and integrated with multi-agent systems. Also it provides an infrastructure applicable to share necessary knowledge between human agents and software agents in order to make intelligent medical information services easier.

  • In this paper, we discuss a study on Advanced TCA(ATCA) based 40 Gbps level Optical transport platform having 120 Gbps(12, 10 Gbps modules) switching capacity as an OTP based large capacity multi service technology. The ATCA-based OTP(Optical Transport Platform) is composed of OTH(Optical Transport Hierarchy) 10 or 40 Gbps client signal interface module, OTH 10 Gbps transport module, high-rate OTH unit switch, system processor, and can be installed in ATCA platform.

  • This work presents the robust controller and the LQG/LTR controller for the stewart platform. To simplify the dynamics we combine equation of the stewart platform and linearized one of hydraulic actuators not considered condensability of the fluid. Through the connection of two dynamic equations we can omit force feedback process of actuators and design controllers for the whole system. We applied two controllers on the stewart platform and show the adequacy controllers through the result of simulation and experiment.

  • 지난 20 년간 전송 시스템은 음성 위주의 트래픽을 위해 발전해 왔다. 그러나 1990년대 말부터 시작된 인터넷 붐에 따라 이제는 데이터 트래픽이 주 서비스로 전환되었다. 이에 따라 음성 위주로 개발되어 왔던 전송 시스템은 데이터 서비스를 수신하기 위한 여러 가지 기술들을 채택하기 시작하였다. 즉 회선 기반의 서비스에서 패킷 기반의 서비스로 전환되고 있는 것이다. MSPP, Multi Service Provisioning Platform,은 이를 적용시키는 전반적인 기술을 적용한 시스템에 대한 일반적인 단어이다. 이 글에서는 MSPP 에서 거론되는 기술들에 대해 살펴 보기로 한다.

  • As the use of smart devices is being increased rapidly by the development of internet and IT technology, the contents production and utilization rate are showing higher increase, too. In addition, the type of contents also shows very diverse forms such as education, game, video, UCC, etc. In the meantime, the contents are reproduced in diverse forms by reprocessing the original contents, and they are being serviced through the contents service platform. Therefore, the platform to make the contents reprocessing easy and fast is needed. As the diverse contents distribution channels such as YouTube, SNS, App Service, etc, easier contents distribution platform is needed, and the development of the relevant area is expected. In addition, as the selective consumption of the contents having easy accessibility through diverse smart devices is distinguished, the demand for the platform and service that can identify the contents consumption propensity by individual is being increased. Therefore, in this study, to vitalize the online contents distribution, the contents reproduction and publishing platform, was designed and materialized, which can reproduce and distribute the contents based on the real-time contents editing technology in URL unit and the consumer propensity analysis technology using the data management-based broadcasting contents distribution metadata technology and the edited image contents streaming technology. In addition, in the results of comparing with other platforms through the experiment, the performance superiority of the suggested platform was verified. If the suggested platform is applied to the areas of education, broadcasting, press, etc, the multi-media contents can be reproduced and distributed easily, through which the vitalization of contents-related industry is expected.

  • To improve the driving performance and work efficiency of the multi-purpose agricultural robot, this paper conducted a study on the turning and steering characteristics of the robot platform according to the characteristics of the working machine coupled to the multi-purpose agricultural robot considering the agricultural environment. First, the size and characteristics of the developed multi-purpose agricultural robot platform and working machine, and the targeted field farming work environment are analyzed. And based on this analysis, the problems that arise in multi-purpose robots with conventional turning methods are quantitatively presented. And to overcome this problem, an improved turning and steering method for multi-purpose agricultural robots is proposed considering the characteristics of various workstations and the agricultural working environment. Finally, by applying the proposed method, the turning characteristics of the multi-purpose agricultural robot according to the working machine are analyzed and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified.

  • The main object of this study is to develop an accurate and convenient method for the response analysis of offshore structures in real sea states. A numerical procedure is described for predicting the motion responses and tension variations of the ISSC TLP in multi-directional irregular waves. The developed numerical approach in the frequency domain is based on acombination of the three dimensional source distribution method, the dynamic response analysis method, and the spectral analysis method. Frequency domain analysis in the multi-directional irregular waves is expanded to a time domain analysis by using a convolution integral after obtaining the impulse response by Fourier transformation. The results of the comparison between responses in the frequency and time domain confirmed the validity of the proposed approach.

  • Since domestic and foreign platform companies and mobile carriers adopt and use different kinds of smart platforms, developers should develop or convert contents according to each smart platform to provide a single smart content for customers. It takes long time and a lot of money to convert the conventional smart contents in order to serve other smart platforms. For the reason, more attention has been paid on Smart Cross Platform or Hybrid Platform, the core technologies of OSMU(One Source Multi Use) in which, once a program is coded, it can be executed in any platforms regardless of development languages. As a result, PhoneGap and HTML5 based Sencha Touch have been introduced. In this paper, we developed the smart virtual machine, which is built in smart cross platform based smart devices, unlike Android, iOS, Windows Phone devices being dependent of platforms, and helps to download and execute applications, being independent of platforms. the smart virtual machine supports C/C++, and Java language, being differentiated from JVM by sun microsystems that supports only Java language and .NET framework by microsoft that supports only C, C++ and C#. Therefore, it provides contents developers with the environment where they can get a wide range of options in choosing a language and develop smart contents.

Fundamental framework toward optimal design of product platform for industrial three-axis linear-type robots

  • This paper discusses an optimization-based approach for the design of a product platform for industrial three-axis linear-type robots, which are widely used for handling objects in manufacturing lines. Since the operational specifications of these robots, such as operation speed, working distance and orientation, weight and shape of loads, etc., will vary for different applications, robotic system vendors must provide various types of robots efficiently and effectively to meet a range of market needs. A promising step toward this goal is the concept of a product platform, in which several key elements are commonly used across a series of products, which can then be customized for individual requirements. However the design of a product platform is more complicated than that of each product, due to the need to optimize the design across many products. This paper proposes an optimization-based fundamental framework toward the design of a product platform for industrial three-axis linear-type robots; this framework allows the solution of a complicated design problem and builds an optimal design method of fundamental features of robot frames that are commonly used for a wide range of robots. In this formulation, some key performance metrics of the robot are estimated by a reducedorder model which is configured with beam theory. A multi-objective optimization problem is formulated to represent the trade-offs among key design parameters using a weighted-sum form for a single product. This formulation is integrated into a mini-max type optimization problem across a series of robots as an optimal design formulation for the product platform. Some case studies of optimal platform design for industrial three-axis linear-type robots are presented to demonstrate the applications of a genetic algorithm to such mathematical models.
