In this paper, the detection scheme of the spatial coordinates based on stereo camera for a intelligent path planning of an automatic mobile robot is proposed. In the proposed system, face area of a moving person is detected from a left image among the stereo image pairs by using the YCbCr color model and its center coordinates are computed by using the centroid method and then using these data, the stereo camera embedded on the mobile robot can be controlled for tracking the moving target in real-time. Moreover, using the disparity mad obtained from the left and right images captured by the tracking-controlled stereo camera system and the perspective transformation between a 3-D scene. and an image plane, depth information can be detected. Finally, based-on the analysis of these calculated coordinates, a mobile robot system is derived as a intelligent path planning and a estimation.

This paper was undertaken to do image analysis of wear debris on operating condition of the lubricated moving surfaces. This lubricating wear test was performed under different experimental conditions using the wear test device was made in our laboratory and wear testing specimen of the pin on dist type was rubbed in paraffine series base oil, by materials, varying applied load, sliding distance. The four shape parameters (50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) to describe wear debris have been developed and are outlined in the paper. A system using such techniques promises to obviate the need for subjective, human interpretation of particle morphology for machine condition monitoring, this to overcome many of the difficulties with current methods and facilitating wider use of wear particle analysis in machine condition monitouing.

This paper proposes a new algorithm for a mobile robot that detects and tracks a moving target, keeping it in the view range of the robot. The sensor system consists of a camera and a line light source. The camera system is placed so that the line light projected into the ground from the light source forms its image along the horizontal center line of the CCD array of the camera. The deformation of the line image from the horizontal center line contains the information on existence of a moving object, its velocity, and position. Since the proposed algorithm reduces the region of the image to be searched, it reduces the computational complexity significantly comparing to the conventional image processing algorithms. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been tested by implementing on a mobile robot.

A background is a part where do not vary too much or frequently change in an image sequence. Using this assumption, it is presented a background acquisition algorithm for not only static but also dynamic view in this paper. For generating background, we detect a region, where has high correlation rate compared within selected region in the prior pyramid image, from the searching region in the current image. Between a detected region in the current image and a selected region in the prior image, we calculate movement vector for each regions in time sequence. After we calculate whole movement vectors for two successive images, vector histogram is used to determine the camera movement. The vector which has the highest density in the histogram is determined a camera movement. Using determined camera movement, we classify clusters based on pixel intensities which pixels are matched with prior pixels following camera movement. Finally we eliminate clusters which have lower weight than threshold, and combine remained clusters for each pixel to generate multiple background clusters. Experimental results show that we can automatically detect background whether camera move or not.

In this paper, we present tracking algorithm for the indoor moving object. We research passive method using a camera and image processing. It had been researched to use dynamic based estimators, such as Kalman Filter, Extended Kalman Filter and Particle Filter for tracking moving object. These algorithm have a good performance on real-time tracking, but they have a limit. If the shape of object is changed or object is located on complex background, they will fail to track them. This problem will need the complicated image processing algorithm. Finally, a large algorithm is made from integration of dynamic based estimator and image processing algorithm. For eliminating this inefficiency problem, image based estimator, Mean-shift Algorithm is suggested. This algorithm is implemented by color histogram. In other words, it decide coordinate of object's center from using probability density of histogram in image. Although shape is changed, this is not disturbed by complex background and can track object. This paper shows the results in real camera system, and decides 3D coordinate using the data from mean-shift algorithm and relationship of real frame and camera frame.
This paper handles, pitching and rolling posture change detection using the visual image changes due to the road slope conditions. When the moving vehicle is slanted to a direction, the objects in the visual images of the vehicle are moving to up or down and right or left. This is similar to the human's balancing behavior depending on the visual image change detection as well as the vestibular organs and semicircular canal in the ear. The proposes method shows the visual image through the camera can be used for the image information itself and for the posture change detection through the experiments.
Magnetic Resonance Image represents three-dimensional diagnostic imaging technique using both nuclear magnetic resonance phenomenon and computer. Compared with computed tomography (CT), MRI have advantages harmless to patient's body, three-dimensional image with high resolution and disadvantages long data acquisition time because of long T1 relaxation time, relatively low signal to noise ratio, high cost of setting, also. As physiologic motion of tissue results in motion ghost in MRI, high 2.0Tesla make improve low signal to noise ratio. This study have aim to improve image quality with controling motion ghost of tissue. Supposing a moving pixel in constant frequency, one pixel make two ghosts which are same size and different anti-phase. So, this study will show adjust parameter on locational control of motion ghost. Author made moving phantom replaced by respiratory movement of human, researched change of motion frequency, FOV by location shift, and them decided optimal FOV (field of view). The results are as follows: 1. The frequency content of the motion determines how far the image always appear in phase-encoding direction, the morphology of the ghost image is characteristic of the direction of the motion and its amplitude. 2. Double FOV of fixed signal object for locational control of motion ghost is recommended. Decreasement of spatial resolution by increasing FOV can compensate on increasing of matrix in spite of scan time increasement.
The new video coding standard Iv1PEG-4 is enabling content-based functionalities. It requires a prior decomposition of sequences into video object planes (VOP's) so that each VOP represents moving objets. This paper addresses an image segmentation method for separating moving objects from still background (non-moving area) in video sequences using a statistical hypothesis test. In the proposed method. three consecutive image frames are exploited and a hypothesis testing is performed by comparing two means from two consecutive difference images. which results in a T-test. This hypothesis test yields a change detection mask that indicates moving areas (foreground) and non-moving areas (background), Moreover. an effective method for extracting
In order to obtain high-resolution seafloor images, research on SA (Synthetic Aperture) processing and the development of related underwater systems have been performed in many countries. Recently the SA processing is also recognized as an important technique in Korea and researchers started related basic study. However, most previous studies ignored the Doppler effect by a moving receiver array. In this paper reconstructed SAS (Synthetic Aperture Sonar) images and position errors are analyzed according to the speed of a moving array for understanding its moving effect on the SAS images. In the analysis the spatial frequency domain interpolation algorithm is used. The results show that as the moving speed of the array increases the estimated position error also increases and image distortion gets worse when we do not consider the array motion. However, if the compensated receiver signals considering the array motion are used the position error and image distortion can be eliminated. In conclusion a signal processing scheme which compensates the Doppler effect is necessary especially in the condition where the array speed is over 1 m/s.

This paper describes detection and tracking of a moving object for unmanned visual surveillance. security systems. Using images obtained from camera it detects and tracks a moving object and displays bounding box enclosing the moving object. The algorithm for detection and tracking is tested using a personal computer, and then implemented on EMPOS II embedded system. Simulation results show that the tracking of a moving object based on embedded system is working well. However it needs to improve image acquisition time for real time implementation to apply security systems.
