  • High Quality CD, OAT audio requires that large amount of data. Currently, multi channel preference has been rapidly propagated among latest users. The MPEG(Moving Picture Expert Group) is provides data compression technology of sound and image system. The MPEG standard provides multi channel and 5.1 sounds, using the same audio algorithm as MPEG-l. And MPEG-2 audio is forward and backward compatible. The MDCT (Modified Discrete Cosine Transform) is a linear orthogonal lapped transform based on the idea of TDAC(Time Domain Aliasing Cancellation). In this paper, we proposed the micro-program type vector processor architecture a benefit in MDCT/IMDCT of MPEG-II AAC. And it's reduced operating coefficient by overlapped area to bind. To compare original algorithm with optimized algorithm that cosine coefficient reduced $0.5\%$multiply operating $0.098\%$ and add operating 80.58\%$. Algorithm test is used C-language then we designed hardware architecture of micro-programmed method that applied to optimized algorithm. This processor is 20MHz operation 5V.

Keeping A Community Sustainable: Development of Affordable Housing for the Elderly in Nonmetropolitan Areas

  • Affordable housing has been a critical issue in the face of global economy and notably formulated a crucial agenda of the housing policy. While each local government seriously considers many approaches to providing affordable housing, a unique and innovative way to address it at a community level is fully uncovered, particularly nonmetropolitan areas where resources for economic development are limited and vulnerable. The purpose of this study is to examine the mechanism of the provision of affordable housing for the elderly in nonmetropolitan areas. In doing so, this research investigates the housing development and delineates it as one viable solution that stimulates local communities. The affordable housing development, as a viable option to spur local development and vibrate community, is closely reviewed, and the factors to make it feasible are drawn. The findings indicate that it is widely recognized that keeping the elderly in the community positively contributes to maintaining a sustainable community. In fact, the idea of affordable housing development for middle-class elderly people is brought by one inspired long-time resident, and it is expedited by the consensus and cohesion of local community. The development stimulates local businesses in relation to housing, and all homes sold by the elderly moving in the new housing are available for young families. Also, the presence of affordable housing for the elderly who are able to independently live is extended to a picture of aging-in-place at a broader level.

  • ISO/IEC JTC1 WG11 Moving Picture Expers Group 과 ITU-T SC16 은 Joint Video Experts Team 을 구성하여 차세대 비디오 부호화 표준으로서 Versatile Video Coding(VVC)를 표준화 중이다. VVC 는 현재 블록의 화면내 예측 모드일 가능성이 높은 모드의 집합인 Most Probable Mode(MPM) 리스트를 유도하고, MPM 을 이용하여 효율적으로 화면내 예측 모드를 부호화한다. VVC 참조 소프트웨어는 주변 블록의 화면내 예측 모드가 일치하는지 여부에 따라 1 개 또는 2 개의 모드를 최종 후보 선택을 위한 과정인 Rate-Distortion Optimization(RDO) 과정에 추가한다. 하지만 현재 MPM 은 항상 첫 번째 후보로 Planar 모드가 위치하며 이로 인하여, 주변 블록의 화면내 예측 모드가 RDO 에 추가되지 않는 경우가 존재한다. 따라서 본 논문은 VVC 의 부호화기에서 주변 블록의 화면내 예측 모드가 고려되지 않는 경우가 존재하는 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 MPM 유도 과정에서 RDO 에 포함할 후보의 개수를 수정하여 RDO 과정에 항상 주변 블록의 화면내 예측 모드가 추가되도록 한다. 본 논문은 실험을 통해 제안 방법이 약 0.04%의 부호화 효율을 향상시켰음을 보인다.

VVC 는 현재 블록의 화면내 예측 모드일 가능성이 높은 모드의 집합인 Most Probable Mode(MPM) 리스트를 유도하고, MPM 을 이용하여 효율적으로 화면내 예측 모드를 부호화한다. VVC 는 주변 블록의 화면내 예측 모드에 따라 7가지 종류의 MPM 리스트 유도 방식을 가지고 있으나 이 중 두 가지는 동일한 MPM 들로 유도되는 중복성이 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 이 중복성 문제를 해결하기 위한 MPM 유도 방법을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 MPM 유도조건을 수정하여 중복적인 유도 방식이 제거된 6 가지 MPM 리스트 유도 방식을 갖는다. 실험을 통해 제안방법이 부호화 효율에 전혀 영향을 주기 않고 MPM 유도 과정을 단순화시켰음을 보인다.

  • 최근 MPEG(moving picture experts group)에서 표준화를 진행하고 있는 3차원 비디오 시스템은 다시점 영상과 깊이영상을 동시에 이용하여 사용자가 임의의 시점을 선택하거나 스테레오스코픽 장치와 같은 3차원 영상 재생장 치를 동해 3차원 영상을 제공하는 차세대 방송 시스템이다 제한된 시점수를 이용하여 보다 많은 시점의 영상을 제공하려면 중간시점의 영상을 보간하는 장치가 필수적이다. 이 시스템의 입력정보인 깊이값을 이용하면 시점이동을 쉽게 할 수 있는데, 보간한 영상의 화질은 이 깊이값의 정확도에 따라 결정된다. 깊이맵은 대개 컴퓨터 비전을 기반으로 한 스테레오 정합기술을 이용 획득하는데, 객체의 경계와 같은 깊이값 불연속 영역에서 주로 깊이값 오류가 발생하게 된다. 이런 오류는 생성한 중간영상의 배경에 원치 않는 잡음을 발생시킨다. 기존의 방법에서는 측정한 깊이법의 객체 경계와 영상의 객체 경계가 일치한다는 가정으로 중간영상을 합성했다. 그러나 실제로는 깊이값 측정 과정에서 두 가지 경계가 일치하지 않아 전경의 일부분이 배경으로 합성되어 잡음을 발생하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 깊이맵을 기반으로 중간시점의 영상을 보간할 때 발생하는 경계 잡음을 처리하는 방법을 제안한다. 중간영상을 합성할 때 비폐색 영역을 합성한 후 경계 잡음이 발생할 수 있는 영역을 비폐색 영역을 따라 구별한 다음, 잡음이 없는 참조 영상을 이용함으로써 경계 잡음을 처리할 수 있다. 실험 결과를 통해 배경 잡음이 사라진 자연스러운 합성영상을 생성했다.

  • This study was designed to develop learning materials of multimediafor general science instruction of high school.this learning material was made of HTML record for each middle unit according to the general science curriculum, and was included a variety of Ietter, graph, picture, drawing, animation, and other moving image materials. And it was composed five coursewares:Content, Dictionary, Science Story,lmage Material, and Questions.The learning material is uploaded an internet website under Science Education Research Institute of Kongju National University (http://science.kongju.ac.kr), and also is provided to a CD-ROM title.

  • A cell phone is a necessity for the modern society. The function of mobile phone enables us to exchange various information beyond the time and space. In addition it has lots of function such as shooting of moving picture. This study is to research the accuracy and rapidity of the information by means of SMS, and to propose a new system of transmission in order to create a profit for the life economy. Through the function, which is suggested in this paper, we can store the phone number to the sending category of the other party's phone by combining character or number. We can expect the most accuracy and swiftness of the cellphone information via of this proposed research.

  • According to the Gartner Group, the market for ERP software in Korea is growing rapidly. However, the number of successful ERP implementations is quite few. Standard(unmodified) ERP's are built based on best practices. Improvements expected from successful implementation are based on best practices built into the software. Many improvements are lost through modification to "standard" software. Even minor changes in software can significantly reduce benefits. Both implementation time and risk factors are increased with modifications. We introduce a methodology, called package Enable Re-engineering (PER) and the main components of change management program by Ernst & Young. "To-Be" model could be developed through the software capabilities. And change management processes such as continuous education and self-developments are required. The philosophy of the change management processes is to let the software package drive the re-engineering practices and avoid moving the software toward the "As-IS" process. Extensive top management involvement, major focus on speed, extensive communication program, and "clear" picture of the future are essential components of change management. We are sure that the complied experiences and model have implications for practice and for academicians for their endeavors in their fields.

  • This paper presents the digital music sound DSP by using ADPCM and Perceptual Transform Corder in MPEG to compress sound data and minimize the quantization noise for musical instrument. these method are utilized to develop algorithm of equal power density envelope. And these results are applied to examine the specific characteristics of musical instrument and determine the compression method. The design of new RISC DSP which generates 32 voices of musical instrument simultaneously and the coding of 200 musical instrument sound data in 1MByte memory shows that these algorithm is very useful to regenerate musical sound by using the minimum size of memory.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented a personal VOD server using multi-thread for the real-time services of video data to the users. The system consists of service manager, disk manager, and network manager. The service manager controls the user admission to the system using the VBR(Variable Bit Rate) characteristics of MPEG (Moving Picture Experts Group) video data. The disk manager provides the functions for VCR-like operations. The disk manager reads blocks from the disk by the size of GOP(Group of Pictures) and buffers the data to the user's thread. The network manager uses TCP/IP for the communication between the server and the client. The communication starts from the client and the VOD server must respond to this request. The implemented personal VOD system shows an acceptable performance.
