3-DCS를 이용한 자동차 공기 분배장치의 도아 구동 기구의 공차 적합성 분석에 대한 연구 (Study of Tolerance Suitability of Door Operation Mechanism on Mobile Air Handing Unit Using 3-DCS Analysis)

  • Recent automakers are trying to be more precise with the dimension check and moving parts to guarantee high quality and satisfy customer requirements. The aim of this paper is to investigate the design tolerance suitability of door operating mechanism linked arms, lever, and cam-shaft in a mobile air handling unit. These parts are complicated because doors, arms, lever and cam-shaft are connected nonlinearly in 3D. The current tolerance analysis method poses problems in design analysis because the moving doors are reasonably suitable for the AHU function. The 3-DCS analysis method provided useful results not only in establishing the inspection criteria for the quality control of products but also in enabling economical production. As a result, the vent door had $1.62^{\circ}{\sim}1.72^{\circ}$ and the defrost door had $0.84^{\circ}{\sim}0.9^{\circ}$ for the directly connected arms operating-type. For the lever connected arm operating-type, the foot door had $2.0^{\circ}{\sim}2.24^{\circ}$ tolerance, while the tolerance values satisfied the air flow volume distribution rate criteria in the AHU. Finally, the results have confirmed the design's tolerance suitability by using 3-DCS analysis at the early design stages. Reliability can be achieved by analyzing accumulated tolerance during the sub-parts assembly process and the moving mechanism linked especially by arms, lever, and cam-shaft.

  • This paper presents the bus controller analysis of a power control unit of GEO satellite with 3kW power output. The sensing error of bus voltage produce control signal of the shunt switch assembly and the battery power converter, and the tolerance of error signal generated decide the stability of proposed system. The worst case analysis considered for the initial tolerance, temperature effect, tolerance of end of life is peformed to verify a designed bus controller. And also, the stability of system proposed according to moving of zero and pole values by some component failures is analyzed.

Macro-Micro Manipulation with Visual Tracking and its Application to Wheel Assembly

  • This paper proposes a wheel-assembly automation system, which assembles a wheel into a hub of a vehicle hung to a moving hanger in a car manufacturing line. A macro-micro manipulator control strategy is introduced to increase the system bandwidth and tracking accuracy to ensure insertion tolerance. A camera is equipped at the newly designed wheel gripper, which is attached at the center of the end-effector of the macro-micro manipulator and is used to measure position error of the hub of the vehicle in real time. The redundancy problem in the macro-micro manipulator is solved without complicated calculation by assigning proper functions to each part so that the macro part tracks the velocity error while the micro part regulates the fine position error. Experimental results indicate that tracking error satisfies the insertion tolerance of assembly $({\pm}1mm)$, and thus it is verified that the proposed system can be applied to the wheel assembly task on a moving hanger in the manufacturing line.

  • This paper describes the development process of body and full vehicle for reduced idle vibration through the data level of frequency and sensitivity. The vibration mode map is used to separate body structure modes from resonance of engine idle nm and steering system. This paper describes the analysis approach process to reduce the variation of uncertainties for idle vibration performance at initial design stage. The robust design method is performed to increase the stabilization performance under vehicle vibration. It is used to predict the effects of the stiffness deviation according to the spot welding condition of the body structure. The tolerance associated with hood over slam bumper is analyzed for the quality deviation of the moving system in full vehicle. And the glass sealant stiffness and weight difference is considered for the deviation characteristic. The design guideline is suggested considering sensitivity about body and full vehicle by using mother car at initial design stage. It makes possible to design the good NVH performance and save vehicles to be used in tests. These improvements can lead to shortening the time needed to develop better vehicles.

2-step Phase-shifting Digital Holographic Optical Encryption and Error Analysis

  • We propose a new 2-step phase-shifting digital holographic optical encryption technique and analyze tolerance error for this cipher system. 2-step phase-shifting digital holograms are acquired by moving the PZT mirror with phase step of 0 or ${\pi}$/2 in the reference beam path of the Mach-Zehnder type interferometer. Digital hologram with the encrypted information is Fourier transform hologram and is recorded on CCD camera with 256 gray-level quantized intensities. The decryption performance of binary bit data and image data is analyzed by considering error factors. One of the most important errors is quantization error in detecting the digital hologram intensity on CCD. The more the number of quantization error pixels and the variation of gray-level increase, the more the number of error bits increases for decryption. Computer experiments show the results to be carried out encryption and decryption with the proposed method and the graph to analyze the tolerance of the quantization error in the system.

  • 줌 렌즈는 이제 휴대폰에도 적용되기 시작했다. 휴대폰에 적용되는 줌 렌즈는 주로 망원 영역을 촬영하기 위해 적용되고 있으며, 이러한 광학계는 고배율 줌 광학계와 유사하게 초점거리가 길어서 부품의 제작 오차에 의한 촬상 소자의 위치도 크게 변한다. 이를 보정하기 위해 기존에는 렌즈군 1군과 광학계 전체를 이동해서 촬상 소자의 위치 변화를 보정했으나, 본 논문에서는 이동하는 렌즈군 2개를 임의로 선택해서 촬상 소자의 위치를 보정할 수 있음을 확인했다. 다만, 이를 위해서는 이동하는 렌즈군 앞쪽과 뒤쪽으로 간격을 더 확보해야 함을 알 수 있었다.

Error Analysis for Optical Security by means of 4-Step Phase-Shifting Digital Holography

  • We present an optical security method for binary data information by using 4-step phase-shifting digital holography and we analyze tolerance error for the decrypted data. 4-step phase-shifting digital holograms are acquired by moving the PZT mirror with equidistant phase steps of ${\pi}/2$ in the Mach-Zender type interferometer. The digital hologram in this method is a Fourier transform hologram and is quantized with 256 gray level. The decryption performance of the binary data information is analyzed. One of the most important errors is the quantization error in detecting the hologram intensity on CCD. The greater the number of quantization error pixels and the variation of gray level increase, the more the number of error bits increases for decryption. 바이스태틱 레이더의 시스템 불안정 요소들에 대한 분석 (Analysis of System Instability Factors in a Bistatic Radar)

  • In this paper, we have identified the system instability factors in a bistatic radar system using pulse chasing and considered their effects on the bistatic receiver's MTI(Moving Target Indication) improvement performance. The pulse chasing is a method to efficiently scan a restricted search area within the limited transmitter power and time in a bistatic radar and to track a series of transmitted pulses using the receiver beam which has ideally matched to the pulse propagation rate. In this paper, we have discussed the interrelationship between the pulse chasing and time and frequency/phase synchronization and described the effects of the identified system instability factors on two kinds of MTI filter configuration, single delay-line and double delay-line, in the bistatic radar. And also, we have confirmed that the overall system improvement is restricted by a lower improvement factor among identified them, and discussed the allowable tolerance of the time and frequency/phase synchronization in the bistatic system.

비디오 데이타를 위한 그리드 기반의 유사 부분 궤적 검색 기법 (Similar sub-Trajectory Retrieval Technique based on Grid for Video Data)

  • 최근, PCS, PDA와 같은 이동기기 보급의 확산, GPS(Global Positioning System)의 활용, 유무선 네트워크의 급속한 발전 등으로 일반 사용자들조차 이미지, 오디오, 비디오 등과 같은 멀티미디어 데이타에 대한 활용이 증가하고 있다. 특히, 멀티미디어 데이타 중에서도 비디오 데이타는 텍스트나 이미지 데이타와는 달리 이동 객체에 대한 움직임 정보를 포함하고 있고 시간의 변화에 따라 공간의 변화를 가지는 시공간적 특성을 가진다. 객체의 공간적 위치가 시간의 흐름에 따라 계속 변하는 이동객체(Moving Object)들의 연속적인 움직임들의 모임을 궤적이라 하며, 데이타베이스에서 사용자로부터 주어진 질의 궤적과 유사한 궤적을 포함하는 데이타를 찾는 것을 유사 부분궤적 검색(Similar Sub-trajectory Retrieval)이라 한다. 그리고 이러한 유사 부분궤적 검색을 하기 위해선 사용자 질의 궤적과 주어진 유사정도(Tolerance) 내에서 유사한 데이타 궤적을 검색 할 수 있는 근사 매칭(Approximate Matching)이 가능해야 한다. 또한, 방대한 멀티미디어 데이타베이스에서 사용자가 원하는 데이타 만을 보다 빠른 시간 내에 찾을 수 있도록 기존 연구와는 다른 효과적인 검색방법이 요구된다. 이를 위해, 본 논문에서는 효과적인 검색을 위해 궤적을 그리드로 분할하여 이동 객체의 궤적에 대한 효율적인 유사 부분궤적 검색을 지원하는 새로운 그리드 기반 검색 기법을 제안한다.

레이더, 비전, 라이더 융합 기반 자율주행 환경 인지 센서 고장 진단 (Radar, Vision, Lidar Fusion-based Environment Sensor Fault Detection Algorithm for Automated Vehicles)

  • For automated vehicles, the integrity and fault tolerance of environment perception sensor have been an important issue. This paper presents radar, vision, lidar(laser radar) fusion-based fault detection algorithm for autonomous vehicles. In this paper, characteristics of each sensor are shown. And the error of states of moving targets estimated by each sensor is analyzed to present the method to detect fault of environment sensors by characteristic of this error. Each estimation of moving targets isperformed by EKF/IMM method. To guarantee the reliability of fault detection algorithm of environment sensor, various driving data in several types of road is analyzed.
