자율이동로봇의 목표물 추적을 위한 시각구동장치의 설계 및 제어 (Design of a Visual Servoing System of an Autonomous Mobile Robot using Fuzzy Logic System)

  • 자율이동로봇에 관한 연구, 개발이 활성화되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 목표물 추적 및 목표물 명중을 위해 사격을 할 수 있는 자율이동로봇의 설계 및 제작에 관하여 기술한다. 여기서는 목표물의 이동을 추적할 수 있도록 팬-틸트(pan-tilt)를 제어한다. USB 웹캠(web cam) 영상에서 대상체의 특정을 추출하고, 추출한 특징으로부터 시각구동장치의 이동 위치 및 방향을 결정하기 위한 퍼지논리시스템을 설계한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안한 방법의 유용성을 검증하고, 이를 실제 자율이동로봇의 시각구동장치에 적용하여 타당성을 입증한다.

나는(flying) 궤적(path)에 있어서 감성반응을 일으키는 물리적 속성(요소)에 대한 연구 (The study on physical factors related with emotional reaction on the flying path)

  • 지금까지의 애니메이션 작업은 애니메이터의 객관적 감성과 경험에 의해 이루어져 왔다. 소프트웨어 디자인에 있었어도 지성적인 데이터들을 바탕으로 제작되어져 왔다. 이는 객관화하기 용이한 자료로서 데이터화하기가 쉬웠기 때문 일 것으로 보인다. 이와는 반대로 인간의 감성은 객관화하고 디지털화하기 어려운 요소들이 많이 존재한다. 본 연구는 디지털화하기 어려운 인간의 감성적 데이터를 객관화하고 이를 정량적 데이터로 활용할 수 있는 방법에 대한 부분으로 나는(flying) 궤적(path)을 연구 대상으로 하였다. 실험에 있어 인간이 나는 제적에 대해 어떻게 표현하는지에 대한 감성어를 수집하였다. 수집한 감성어를 통해 감성 평가어를 추출하고 추출한 감성 평가어에서 느껴지는 나는 궤적에 대한 스케치 이미지를 수집하였다. 수집한 스케치 이미지를 기초로 본 연구의 핵심이 되는 실험 동영상 샘플을 제작하였다. 다음으로 나는 궤적을 나타내는 감성어에 대한 물리적 요소와 동영상 샘플과의 상관관계를 분석하기 위해 수량화이론III류와 수량화이론I류를 각각 이용하였다. 그 결과 감성어와 동영상 샘플과의 구조를 파악 할 수 있었고, 나는 궤적에 대한 감성반응의 물리적 자극요소 또한 분석 할 수 있었다. 나는 궤적은 오브젝트(object)가 지나간 경로(path)에 해당한다. 이러한 경로(궤적)를 보고 감성자극 요소들이 복합적으로 작용하여 독특한 감성어로 표현되어 지는 것으로 보인다. 여기엔 감성을 자극하는 요소들이 존재하는데, 그 요소로는 속도, 회전, 규칙 그리고 호의 길이가 그 물리적 요소인 것으로 파악되었다. 본 연구를 통해 나는 궤적의 애니메이션을 표현하는데 있어 애니메이터들의 주관적인 감성 표현들을 객관화, 정량화 시키고자 하였으며, 본 연구의 데이터는 감성 애니메이션 시스템 설계에 있어 기본 데이터로 적용되는 것을 목표로 하고 있다.

3D 스캐닝 임베디드 시스템 설계 (3D Scanning Embedded System Design)

  • It is the approach of embedded system design that finds 3D scanning technology to analyze a real object or environment to collect data on its shape and appearance. 3D laser scanning developed during the last half of 20th century in an attempt to accurately recreate the surfaces of various objects. 1960s, early scanners used lights, cameras, and projectors to carry out the scanning in the lacks of performance which encountered many difficulties with shiny, mirroring, or transparent objects. The 3D scanning technology has leveled-up with helpful of embedded software platform research and design. In this paper, First we designed the hardware of laser/camera setup and turntable moving part which is the base of object. Second, we introduced the process of scanning 3D data with software and analyzed the resulting scanned image on the web server. Last, we made the 3D scanning embedded device with 3D printing model and experimented the 3D scanning performance with Raspberry Pi.

  • It is very important to predict the future position for the heavy vehicle with evasive maneuvering. In this paper, we considered for the manual image tracking system. The vehicle images are received from gyro stabilized mirror system, pass through the optical lens, processed, and displayed on the TV monitor. The operator try to lay the reticle to the center of vehicle image. When the vehicle is moving, the mirror platform (actually the line of sight) should follow the vehicle and the angular rate information is picked up from the mirror stabilized system. This rate signal should be used to predict the future vehicle position. The problem is that the visual system of the human operator is in the closed loop system. The rate signals are disturbed by the operator. In addition, there are some non linearities concerned with the control handle bar and the servo control system. The proposed Kalman filter, combined with some modifications for operator disturbance rejection, improved the predication of the future vehicle position when compared with the conventional passive filter used.

Design Of Intrusion Detection System Using Background Machine Learning

  • The existing subtract image based intrusion detection system for CCTV digital images has a problem that it can not distinguish intruders from moving backgrounds that exist in the natural environment. In this paper, we tried to solve the problems of existing system by designing real - time intrusion detection system for CCTV digital image by combining subtract image based intrusion detection method and background learning artificial neural network technology. Our proposed system consists of three steps: subtract image based intrusion detection, background artificial neural network learning stage, and background artificial neural network evaluation stage. The final intrusion detection result is a combination of result of the subtract image based intrusion detection and the final intrusion detection result of the background artificial neural network. The step of subtract image based intrusion detection is a step of determining the occurrence of intrusion by obtaining a difference image between the background cumulative average image and the current frame image. In the background artificial neural network learning, the background is learned in a situation in which no intrusion occurs, and it is learned by dividing into a detection window unit set by the user. In the background artificial neural network evaluation, the learned background artificial neural network is used to produce background recognition or intrusion detection in the detection window unit. The proposed background learning intrusion detection system is able to detect intrusion more precisely than existing subtract image based intrusion detection system and adaptively execute machine learning on the background so that it can be operated as highly practical intrusion detection system.

디지털 디스플레이 활용에 따른 공간 변화에 관한 연구 - 미래영화 분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Space Change according to the use of Digital Display - Focusing on the Analysis of Future SF Film -)

  • Our human society is rapidly changing into the world of advanced visual information with the development of image industry, the advent of satellite and terrestrial DMB, and the opening of Ubiquitous era. Like this, we are living in the space of overflowing media contents. Jean Baudrillad anticipated that the influential power of image would dominate our reality in 'Simulation'. Noticing the indication of our time, which is organized by various information media including the mass media, Baudrillad predicted that the 21st century would be an era of symbol and image due to the development of television, computer, and internet. This paper attempts to find the physical and conceptual peculiarities of the space change according to the use of display, by analyzing SF films, where future daily life is a major setting, under the judgement that the exploration of space change is significant. Through findings, it tries to lead the visual expansion, which recognizes display as space itself rather than object of space and changes unmoving space into moving space, and suggest the future space design by using digital space. It suggests case studies, which use digital display in the real space, as a study method and it examines the features, influences, and roles of digital display through investigating literatures and cases. In addition, it attempts to find a correlation of digital display and space by selecting films, which can give the affluent resources of analysis on the digital display among SF films. Therefore, it will come to a conclusion that space change should be dealt with in the space design.

  • There can be two definitions of modern ideal medical surroundings. One is medical services satisfied patients' with their desire and the other is places suited to remedy realized by rational operation. Particularly, in case of dental service, there is a need for an effective regard of moving lines and there are many rooms for a dental service belonged to a curer and not a curer. So a design has been developed by many concerns. flow do we proffer more familiar and comfortable places to both a curer and not a cuter. Nowadays, the design is making progress to the unprecedented and up-to-date direction. I would suggest a general plan used by a nature of an original art for this design. The design used by a nature between human beings and things is able to induce comforts and intimacies. So to speak, I would like to remove artificial design and keep up organic lines, shapes and forms of a nature like it is. This study grasps the organizational limitation of this design and the visual characteristic of organic forms used by harmonious image of a nature and a new way is applied to limited medical places, a dental service, based on the study. Also, I'm go to examine the meaning and worth of a new design and suggest the direction of it.

영상디지털도어록용 단일 사람 검출 알고리즘 구현 (Implementation of a Single Human Detection Algorithm for Video Digital Door Lock)

  • 영상디지털도어록(Video digital door lock, VDDL) 시스템은 문으로 출입하는 사람을 검출하고 사람 영상을 획득한다. 도어록 설계 시 고려할 사항은 배터리 기반으로 동작하므로 속도가 빠른 사람 검출 알고리즘을 적용하여 전류소모를 최소화해야 한다. 그리고 도어록은 고정된 카메라에서 영상을 촬영하므로 배경영상을 이용한 사람 검출이 높은 신뢰성을 얻을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 요구조건에 충족하며 VDDL에 적합한 단일 사람검출 알고리즘을 다루고 있는데, 획득한 영상에서 이동하는 물체를 감지하고 영상처리를 통해 물체가 사람인지를 판별한다. 제안된 영상처리 알고리즘은 두 단계로 이루어져 있다. 첫째, 배경영상과 피부색 정보를 통해 사람 이미지 영역을 구한다. 둘째, 인체비례 정보를 기반으로 폴라 히스토그램을 이용하여 사람 유무를 판단한다. 개발된 알고리즘은 도어록에 설치하고 실험을 통해 성능을 확인하였다.

Design of a Recognizing System for Vehicle's License Plates with English Characters

  • In recent years, video detection systems have been implemented in various infrastructures such as airport, public transportation, power generation system, water dam and so on. Recognizing moving objects in video sequence is an important problem in computer vision, with applications in several fields, such as video surveillance and target tracking. Segmentation and tracking of multiple vehicles in crowded situations is made difficult by inter-object occlusion. In the system described in this paper, the mean shift algorithm is firstly used to filter and segment a color vehicle image in order to get candidate regions. These candidate regions are then analyzed and classified in order to decide whether a candidate region contains a license plate or not. And then some characters in the license plate is recognized by using the fuzzy ARTMAP neural network, which is a relatively new architecture of the neural network family and has the capability to learn incrementally unlike the conventional BP network. We finally design a license plate recognition system using the mean shift algorithm and fuzzy ARTMAP neural network and show its performance via some computer simulations.
