As we can see at the oil spill occident on the coast of Taean, the viscosity of the spilled oil becomes thicker as time goes by. It becomes waste oil with the form of tar. It moves to other areas following a tide. When the temperature of the water goes up, the viscosity becomes lighter and forms oil film. It repeats the process spreading to and polluting extensive areas where the tide reaches. People have used hand nets to collect waste oil of tar at the sea. But it is very difficult for them to collect the tar type waste oil spread on large areas before it reaches to the beach. This paper tried to find a way to collect the tar type waste oil efficiently. It used absorption mat of boom type that uses the attachment characteristics of the tar type waste oil and floating waste recovery device of net type. It tested the possibility of using the devices at the oil spill accident on the beach of Taean. The result showed that net type recovery device was much more efficient in collecting the waste oil in short time than the hand net system of people. It confirmed that the net type recovery device could be used to collect tar type waste oil.
Wireless smart sensor networks (WSSNs) have been proposed by a number of researchers to evaluate the current condition of civil infrastructure, offering improved understanding of dynamic response through dense instrumentation. As focus moves from laboratory testing to full-scale implementation, the need for multi-hop communication to address issues associated with the large size of civil infrastructure and their limited radio power has become apparent. Multi-hop communication protocols allow sensors to cooperate to reliably deliver data between nodes outside of direct communication range. However, application specific requirements, such as high sampling rates, vast amounts of data to be collected, precise internodal synchronization, and reliable communication, are quite challenging to achieve with generic multi-hop communication protocols. This paper proposes two complementary reliable multi-hop communication solutions for monitoring of civil infrastructure. In the first approach, termed herein General Purpose Multi-hop (GPMH), the wide variety of communication patterns involved in structural health monitoring, particularly in decentralized implementations, are acknowledged to develop a flexible and adaptable any-to-any communication protocol. In the second approach, termed herein Single-Sink Multi-hop (SSMH), an efficient many-to-one protocol utilizing all available RF channels is designed to minimize the time required to collect the large amounts of data generated by dense arrays of sensor nodes. Both protocols adopt the Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol, which provides any-to-any routing and multi-cast capability, and supports a broad range of communication patterns. The proposed implementations refine the routing metric by considering the stability of links, exclude functionality unnecessary in mostly-static WSSNs, and integrate a reliable communication layer with the AODV protocol. These customizations have resulted in robust realizations of multi-hop reliable communication that meet the demands of structural health monitoring.

In this paper, we propose a locomotor evaluation System for mouse based on continuous shooting images. In the field of veterinary medicine and animal studies are subjected to using the mouse for the quality of human life. In particular, during the experiments using the artificially created mice injury, through a variety of scoring and a lot of experiments to measure the extent of recovery from the injury. The traditional method of measuring the quantity of exercise while in this experiment was made of a method for directly observing person. The proposed system performs the continuous shooting per unit of time specified by the movement of the mouse is extracted from a continuous image shooting with the outline of a mouse point cloud. And using the extracted point cloud to extract again the inner contour of the body of the mouse. So using the new point cloud obtained its center, Then, using the center point calculated by accumulating the distance between two points on locomotor evaluation system design and implement to obtain the total distance the mouse moves over a unit of time.
In 1999, the French semiotician Jacques Fontanille published his work on discourse semiotics as an attempt to overcome the limitations of structuralism. Discourse semiotics has expanded the realm of semiotics by taking a phenomenological approach that examines the structure of consciousness. Phenomenology pays special attention to the operation of human consciousness, which, instead of staying put, moves from one place to another-unbeknownst to its agent. This paper examines "Bulls" through a phenomenological approach as the short story depicts the stream of consciousness that unfolds within the inner world of Pau, the young male protagonist. The rhetorical approach to literary analysis works at the level of the speech act and directly relates to speech act theory. In rhetorics, figures and tropes are dominated by speech acts. Whereas conventional rhetorical analysis lacks a kinetic perspective as it revolves around flat semantic inspections, the discourse semiotics approach applied in this paper allows for an indepth multidimensional analysis where the analyses of ${\acute{e}}nonc{\acute{e}}$ and ${\acute{e}}nonciation$ complement each other. Presenting a peasant movement to the reader through the eyes of the young male protagonist Pau, "Bulls" is considered a significant literary feat in the history of Korea's New Literature as the work is highly regarded for its impressive depiction of a communal movement. This paper reinterprets and reevaluates the story under a new light, mainly through a rhetorical approach and a phenomenological approach that hinges on discourse semiotics.

Cloase-range image information from drones and ground-based camera has been frequently used in the field of disaster mitigation with 3D modeling and mapping. In addition, the utilization of virtual reality(VR) is being increased by implementing realistic 3D models with the VR technology simulating disaster circumstances in large scale. In this paper, we created a VR training program by extracting realistic 3D models from close-range images from unmanned aircraft and digital camera on hand and observed several issues occurring during the implementation and the effectiveness in the case of a VR application in training for disaster mitigation. First of all, we built up a scenario of disaster and created 3D models after image processing with the close-range imagery. The 3D models were imported into Unity, a software for creation of augmented/virtual reality, as a background for android-based mobile phones and VR environment was created with C#-based script language. The generated virtual reality includes a scenario in which the trainer moves to a safe place along the evacuation route in the event of a disaster, and it was considered that the successful training can be obtained with virtual reality. In addition, the training through the virtual reality has advantages relative to actual evacuation training in terms of cost, space and time efficiencies.
The purpose of this article is to examine whether Myanmar's experience in which dealing with the most exemplary change among rogue states or pariah state in the 21st century is feasible for North Korea's case. Recently, North Korea's willingness to dialogue, reform and open is similar to the precedent in which the Myanmar military junta dismantled its ruling system and turned over transition period through general elections in 2010 and 2015 each. The so-called 'Myanmar Model' refers to a country branded as a rogue state which has been under the international sanctions and pressure, and opening its political system and the market by choosing transformation. However, rapid changes in speed across the entire society after opening up are impossible because the political elite is only the leading role and implementation in the transition. In case of Myanmar, military culture has penetrated into society due to such a long-lasting military dictatorship, and even democratic bloc has become accustomed to authoritarian decision-making process. Furthermore, the "reserved area" of the old regime still exists in a deformed political structure that can not retrieve the interests of the military. Therefore there could not be achieved political development in term of qualification. North Korea also appears unlikely to achieve political and economic assessment in a short period of time, as civil society has not appeared due to its long dictatorship and very low economic development levels. Like Myanmar, North Korea is also likely to control the pace and direction of upcoming reforms and open, as the dictator or most powerful person chose to reform and open up. Therefore, if North Korea moves toward the 'Myanmar Model', there will be high expectations of new changes in the short term, but it could be delayed or stalled in the mid and long term.
Cultural Studies built on the critical mind of New Left exposes the relationship between culture and power, and investigates how this relationship develops the cultural convention. It has achieved the new perspective that could make us to think culture and art in terms of political correctness. However, the critical voices against the theoretical premises of Cultural Studies have been increased as its heyday in 1980s was nearly over. For instance, Terry Eagleton, a former Marxist literary critic, declared in 2003 that the golden age of cultural theory is long past. This essay, therefore, intends to show the weak foundations on which the approaches of cultural studies to theatre rest and to clarify the general problem of their introduction to theatre studies. The approach of cultural studies to theatre takes the form of 'top-down inquiry' as it applies a theory to a particular play or historical period. In other word, from the theory the writer moves to the particular case. The result is not an inquiry but rather a demonstration. This circularity can destroy the point of serious intellectual investigation as the theory dictates answers. The goal-oriented narrow viewpoint as a logical consequence of 'top-down inquiry' makes the researcher to favor the plays or the parts of a play that are proper to test a theory. As a result it loses the fair judgment on the artistic value of a play, and brings about the misinterpretation. The interpreter-oriented reading is the other defect of cultural studies as it disregards the inherent meaning of the text, distorting a play. The approach of cultural studies also consists of a conventionality as it arrives at a stereotyped interpretation by using certain conventions of reasoning and rhetoric. The cultural theories are fundamentally the 'outside theories' that seek to explain not theatre but the very broad features of society and politics. Consequently their application to theatre risks the destructive criticism, disregarding the inherent experience of theatre. Most of, if not all, cultural theories, furthermore, are proven to be lack of empirical basis. The alternative method to them is a 'cognitive science' that proves scientifically our mind being influenced by bodily experience. The application of cultural materialism to Shakespeare's is one of the cases that reveal the limits of cultural studies. Jonathan Dollimore and Water Cohen provide a kind of 'canonical study' in this application that is imitated by the succeeding researchers. As a result the interpretation of has been flooded with repetitive critical remarks, revealing the problem of 'top-down inquiry' and conventional reasoning. Cultural Studies is antipodal to theatre in some respect. It is interested chiefly in the social and political reality while theatre aims to create the fiction world. The theatre studies, therefore, may have to risk the danger of destroying its own base when it adopts cultural studies uncritically. The different stance between theatre and cultural theories also occurs from the opposition of humanism vs. antihumanism. We have to introduce cultural theories selectively and properly not to destroy the inherent experience and domain of theatre.

Love is not taught by someone. At some point without oneself knowing we start love and really experience with our bodies what love is, and in this repeat love and undergo all these emotions. Would not the overall story of life be as such. It is different from building a car in a factory. When the archival symposium starts, we asked you to think about what archives are, and to record with such thoughts as reference. Archival symposium is still a proper noun. With the wish for it to become a general term, I report on the process and meaning of archival experiment that is the archival symposium.

Cavitation refers to a phenomenon in which empty spaces occur in a fluid due to changes in pressure and a velocity. When a liquid moves at a high speed, the pressure drops below the vapor pressure, and vapor bubbles are generated in the liquid. This study used CFD to analyze the flow of fluid machinery used in marine and offshore plants. The goals are to ensure the validity of the analysis method for marine propellers in an open water test, to increase the forward ratio, and to use FLUENT to understand the flow pattern due to cavitation. A three-dimensional analysis was performed and compared with experimental data from MOERI. The efficiency was highest at advance ratios of 0.7 - 0.8. Thrust was generated due to the difference between the pressure surface and the suction surface, and it was estimated that bubbles would be generated in the vicinity of the back side surface rather than the face side of the propeller, resulting in more cavitation. The cavitation decreased sharply as the advance ratio increased. The thrust and torque coefficients were comparable to those of the MOERI experimental data except at the advance ratio of 1, which showed a difference of less than 5%. Therefore, it was confirmed that CFD can evaluate an open water propeller test.
Recently, various multiphase flows have been developed, and among them some models have been commercialized. However, most of them have been developed based on a pressure-based approach; therefore, various numerical difficulties were involved inherently. Accordingly, in order to overcome these numerical difficulties, a multiphase flow model, MultiPhaSe flow (MPS), following a fractional-flow based approach was developed. In this study, by combining a contaminant transport module describing an enhanced dissolution effect of a surfactant with MPS, a MultiPhaSe flow and TranSport (MPSTS) model was developed. The developed model was verified using the analytical solution of Clement. The MPSTS model can simulate the process of surfactant enhanced aquifer remediation including interphase mass transfer and contaminant transport in multiphase flow by using the coupled particle tracking method and Lagrangian-Eulerian method. In this study, a surfactant was used in a non aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) contaminated area, and the effect of hydro-geological heterogeneity in the layered media on remediation efficiency was studied using the developed model. According to the numerical simulation, when hydraulic conductivity in a lower layer is 10 times, 20 times, and 50 times larger than that in an upper layer, the concentration of dissolved diesel in the lower layer is much higher than that in the upper layer because the surfactant moves faster along the lower layer owing to preferential flow; thus, the surfactant enhances dissolution of residual non aqueous phase liquid in the lower layer.
