  • 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기 (Switched Reluctance Motor, SRM)는 전류의 크기와 회전자와 고정자의 상대적 위치에 따라 인덕턴스가 매우 비선형적으로 변하는 특성이 있고, 토크는 이 인덕턴스의 기울기에 비례하여 발생하기 때문에 비선형 토크 특성을 가지며 토크 맥동이 크고 소음이 심한 단점도 있다. 이러한 문제점들을 고려하고 경제성과 회로의 간단화를 위하여 기존의 비대칭 컨버터 (Asymmetric Bridge Converter)에서 효율과 성능을 개선할 수 있는 구동용 토폴로지(Topology)에 대한 연구들이 많이 진행되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 SRM 구동용 토폴로지로 적용하여 사용되고 있는 각 컨버터들을 비교, 분석함으로써 성능을 확인하고자 한다. 비교, 분석에 적용된 구동용 컨버터는 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 비대칭 브리지 컨버터 (Asymmetric Bridge Converter)와 C-dump 컨버터 형태의 구조를 가진 Conventional C-dump, Modified C-dump, Energy efficient C-dump, 공진형 C-dump 컨버터, 그리고 일반 전동기의 범용으로 사용되고 있는 6-Switch 인버터이다.

  • This paper deals with the analysis of switched reluctance motor drives for different drive circuit topologies used in automobile. So we attempt to improve the weaknesses associated with the asymmetric bridge converter in the limited internal environment of automotive application. Two kinds of c-dump converters are tested in terms of dump capacitor voltage, speed response according to the variation of advance angle and efficiency for the radiator cooling-fan drive of an automobile. They enable more economical and efficient converter topology for automobile industries. This paper describes the performance characteristics of 12V-250W-3000rpm SRM drives for automotive application. Computer simulation and experiment results are then presented to verify the performance of the two kinds of c-dump converters.

  • This paper presents a magnet circuit design procedure to reduce mover mass of the moving coil type linear direct motor (LDM). The procedure of optimization is based on the response surface methodology (RSM) and Sequential Quadratic Problem (SQP). This procedure of optimization is verified by the comparison of the result of the initial design between the result of the optimum design.

  • 본문의 내용은 영구자석을 사용한 단상 브러시리스 모타의 구동을 위한 H-Brdige 구동회로에 적용된 전류제어 회로에 관한 실험결과이다. 부하전류가 목표치 이상인 경우 enable 를 차단하면 순간적으로 센서저항의 전위가 0 으로 되고 이로인해 다시 순간적으로 스위칭이 이루어 지므로 매우 빠른 주기로 스위칭을 반복한다. 이 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 래칭회로를 필요로 하는데, 본 제안에서는 두 개의 NAND GATE 와 하나의 NOT GATE, 그리고 RC network 를 조합하여 LIP-FLOP 과 시지연을 이루는 방법을 실현하였다. 이와 같은 전류제어회로는 constant off time 의 특성을 가지는데, 일반적으로 사용되는 PWM 제어회로에 비하여 매우 단순하면서도, 저항부하 및 모타부하에 대해 공히 능동적으로 작동함을 입증하고 있다. 본문에서는 제안된 전류제한회로의 구조와 H-bridge 구동모드, 그리고 전기적 특성에 대한 연구결과를 설명한다.

  • BLDCM(Brushless D.C. Motor) is widely used industrial application because of high efficiency and high power density. Especially, In servo system and home appliance, BLDCM is very useful due to high control performance and low acoustic noise. In this paper, 2.5HP rated BLDCM controller and drive was developed for tread mill application. The prototype BLDCM has 4 poles rotor and 24 slots stator. Ferrite was used as a rotor magnet due to the cost and temperature characteristic. For the stable operation of tread mill, over current and high temperature can be detected by the DSP control1er. For the commutation signal, switching patterns from the sensorless circuit and hall sensor signal are used in the DSP controller.

  • These days, electromagnetic radiation noise and switching losses of static converter become harmful. Many resonant inverters with radiation techniques solve their such problems. Auxiliary Resonant Commutated Pole Inverter (ARCP) was proposed. but it has two demerits. In circuit configuration. It isn't constructed by 2 in 1 IGET modules. Besides, control is complicated because of neutral point voltage control and boost current control. This paper proposes a new auxiliary resonant inverter which solved two demerits. In addition, it deals efficiency which compared with hard switching inverter and result of separation of power loss

  • Pneumatic servo valve is an electro-mechanical device which change electric signals to a proper pneumatic signals, that is, flowrate and pressure. In this study, a pneumatic servo valve was designed and each simulation was conducted on any variation in the flowrate depending upon the magnetic force of the linear force motor and the displacement of the spool. And permanent magnet was used as a material for the plunger of the servo valve. Thereby, a low electrical power consumption type coil was desinged. And a modeling for the coil design was conducted by using the magnetic circuit. also, the feasibility of the modeling was verified by using a commercial magnetic field analysis program. The designed and fabrication of the spool and sleeve, position sensor, servo controller and the dynamic characteristic verified by the experiment.

  • In this paper, we propose the method to control the position of LDM(Linear DC Motor) using vision system. The proposed method is composed of a vision system for position detecting, and main computer calculates PID control output which is deliver to 8051 actuator circuit in serial communication. To confirm the usefulness of the proposed method, we experimented about position control of a small size LDM using CCD camera which has a performance 30frames/sec as vision system.

  • This paper suggests the techniques in determining the values of the steady-state equivalent circuit parameters of a three-phase squirrel-cage induction machine using immune algorithm. The parameter estimation procedure is based on the steady state phase current versus slip and input power versus slip characteristics. The proposed estimation algorithm is of a nonlinear kind based on clonal selection in immune algorithm. The machine parameters are obtained as the solution of a minimization of least-squares cost function by immune algorithm. Simulation shows better results than the conventional approaches.

On the Voltage-Based Control of Robot Manipulators

  • This paper presents a novel approach for controlling electrically driven robot manipulators based on voltage control. The voltage-based control is preferred comparing to torque-based control. This approach is robust in the presence of manipulator uncertainties since it is free of the manipulator model. The control law is very simple, fast response, efficient, robust, and can be used for high-speed tracking purposes. The feedback linearization is applied on the electrical equations of the dc motors to cancel the current terms which transfer all manipulator dynamics to the electrical circuit of motor. The control system is simulated for position control of the PUMA 560 robot driven by permanent magnet dc motors.
