유한요소 모델 개선 프로그램 개발 (Development of finite element model updating program)

  • The finite element analysis (FEA) is widely used in modem structural dynamics because the performance of structure can be predicted in early stage. However, due to the difficult in determination of various uncertain parameters, it is not be easy to obtain a reliable finite element model. To overcome these difficulties, updating program of FE model is developed by consisting of pretest, correlation and updating. In correlation, it calculates modal assurance criteria, cross orthogonality, mixed orthogonality and coordinate modal assurance criteria. For the model updating, the continuum sensitivity analysis and design optimization tool (DOT) are used. The SENSUP program is developed for model updating to obtain physical parameter sensitivity. The developed program is applied to practical examples such as the base plate of HDD, BLDC spindle motor, and upper housing of induction motor. And the sensor placement for the square plate is compared using several methods.

  • For the application of monitoring system of the machine tool to industry, the requirements such as high reliability and low cost need to be satisfied. In this study, a reliable but inexpensive monitoring method for machine tool is introduced. To improve the monitoring reliability, several kinds of information related to machining and operation are selected; real-time video clip from USB camera, operation data and signal from CNC and feed motor torque. Especially, to improve the quality of real-time video clip, a camera housing is developed, it can significantly reduce the vibration effect and prevent from coolant and chip. The collected information are transferred to the monitoring terminals in remote sites using OPC and TCP/IP protocol over Ethernet, which give us convenience of development and interoperability.

  • This paper describes influence of thermal deformation on nosic characteristics in high speed spindle systems. Heat generation in front, rear spindle bearings and built in motor lead to diverse thermal deformation of headstock with time. This deformation changes assemble tolerance in bearing housing, especially to elliptic form. The elliptic assemble tolerance generate high nosie level with dominant amplitude in double rotational frequency.

  • 전기자동차 파워트레인에서 발생되는 소음은 주로 모터의 전자기력 불균형에서 오는 소음과 기어 장치의 기계 시스템에서 발생되는 소음으로 구분될 수 있다. 이 소음들은 일반적 연소 엔진음 보다는 작지만, 조용한 배경 소음 때문에 더 거슬리는 소리가 될 수 있음에도 불구하고 그 소음의 특성이나 저감 방법은 널리 알려져 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 전기차 개발단계 혹은 완성단계에서 적용할 수 있는 전달 경로에 감쇠 수동형 패치를 부착하여 소음을 저감하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저, 모터 소음은 모터의 동적 특성에 따라 영향을 받으며 또한 모터 토크와 어떠한 상관성을 가지는 지를 보여준다. 또한, 모터 보다는 감속기의 표면이 더 소음에 취약한 부위라는 사실을 실험적으로 보여준다. 마지막으로, 주요 소음 전달경로인 드라이브 샤프트나 감속기 하우징 표면에 패치를 부착하여 실차 평가하였으며 실험 결과는 가속보다는 감속 조건에서 소음이 저감되는 영향이 크다는 것을 보여준다.

  • The automotive vehicle is made through the following processes such as press shop, welding shop, paint shop, and general assembly. Among them, the most important process to determine the quality of the car body is the welding process. Generally, more than 400 pressed panels are welded to make BIW (Body In White) by using the RSW (Resistance Spot Welding) and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding). Recently, as the needs of light-weight material due to the $CO_2$ emission issue and fuel efficiency, new joining technologies for aluminum, CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) and etc. are needed. Aluminum parts are assembled by the spot welding, clinching, and SPR (Self Piercing Rivet) and friction stir welding process. Structural adhesive boning is another main joining method for light-weight materials. For example, one piece aluminum shock absorber housing part is made by die casting process and is assembled with conventional steel part by SPR and adhesive bond. Another way to reduce the amount of the car body weight is to use AHSS (Advanced High Strength Steel) panel including hot stamping boron alloyed steel. As the new materials are introduced to car body joining, productivity and quality have become more critical. Productivity improvement technology and adaptive welding control are essential technology for the future manufacturing environment.

  • the quality of a TV is closely connected with the high quality surface of Braun tube. To get high quality surface an improved grinding system is needed. It has three main parts : the housing part of supporting frame the outershaft part rotat-ed by motor and the innershaft part having eccentricity from the rotation axis of the outershaft. the housing part and the outershaft part are connected by outerbearings, The outershaft part and the innershaft part are connected by innerbearings. Although the outershaft part is rotated at high-speed the innershaft part is not rotated by offset coupling. The high quality grinding surface can be obtained by this mechanism of panel surface grinder, Because the innershaft is unbalanced by eccentricity from rotation axis of outershaft the unbalancing vibration is resulted In this rotor system with high-speed rota-tion the unbalancing vibration makes the opertion unstable. In this research the transfer function is obtained bythe frequency response analysis of finite element model. The simu-lation result is proved by comparing with the experimental result measured by signal analyzer Then the results are corre-lated. in order to improve the design an optimization method is used instead of two-planes balancing method The parts of the 3-dimensional panel surface grinder satisfy the each constraint, The result shows that the design of the panel surface grinder can be optimized.

항공기용 연료이송펌프 기어부 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of Fuel Transfer Pumps Gear Part for the Aircraft)

  • 본 논문은 국내 최초로 독자기술로 개발된 항공기용 연료이송펌프의 기어부를 설계하는 일련의 절차 및 그 결과에 대한 것이다, 기어펌프 방식이 베인펌프 방식에 비하여 전반적 성능이 우월하고, 내부 누설이 소량으로, 연료이송펌프의 설계에 필요사항에 부합하여 이 방식이 선정되었다. 기어 하우징은 흐름을 결정하는 중요한 변수인데, 기어의 외경을 고려하여 적절한 여유공간을 갖도록 설계하였다. 아울러, 모터가 연료이송펌프를 구동하기 위해 필요한 공압 및 축동력 등도 계산하였다.

MR 브레이크의 내구성에 따른 제어성능평가 (Control Performance Evaluation of MR Brake Depending on Durability)

  • This paper presents performance comparison results of magneto-rheological (MR) brake in the sense of wear characteristics. To create wear circumstance, the brake is operated in 100 000 cycles by DC motor. To make wear test in same design parameters such as the radius of the housing, ferromagnetic disc and gap size, small sample of stainless are inserted in housing of MR brake. The performances of brake are compared between the initial stage (no wear) and 100 000 revolution cycles operated stage (wear). At each circumstance, torque of the brake is measured and compared by applying step current and sinusoidal control input. The controller used in this work is a simple, but effective PID controller. It is demonstrated that the wear behavior is more obvious as the operating cycle is increased in the torque control process.

Further Evidence in Support of Psychotropic Action on Red Ginseng

  • Using an ethopharmacological technique, we demonstrated that saponin fraction from red ginseng root possessed a potent psychotropic actions on either intermale or maternal aggression models. A series of experiments clearly indicated that one of psychoactive ingredient is ginsenoside Rbl. Although a drug-induced debilitation of motor performance remains a possible cause of the antiaggressive effect of the drug, ginsenoside Rb 1 did not alter the locomotor activity of the mice during agonistic confrontations. Thus, one can eliminate the possibility that the psychoactive effect of ginsenoside Rbl might be concealed by a drugindulced impairment of motor performance. More recently, we developed a new model for copulatory disorder and introduced into the behavioral analysis of drug action. Male mice which has been housed individually from weaning for 5 weeks failed to manifest copulatory behavior when they encountered with the sexually-receptive females. Daily administration of crude ginseng saponin during isolation housing period prevented the development of copulatory disorder, whereas both ginsenoside Rbl and Rgl were ineffective. A further experiment may be needed to explore active ingredient of ginseng saponins. Keywords Panax ginseng, Korean red ginseng, psychotropic action, saponin, ginsenoside Rb1

  • Electro-mechanical battery (EMB) consists of a high-speed fly wheel with an integral motor/ generator suspended on magnetic bearings and in an evacuated housing. Permanent magnet (PM) machines as the EMB motor/ generator are a popular choice, since there are no excitation losses which means substantial increase in the efficiency. In this paper we present the comparison of conventional slotted and slotless ring-wound types, aimed at EMB and other high-speed drives. We firstly discuss the topology of each machine for this particular application. these machines are primarily designed as 1kW two-pole PM generator with the rated speed of 40000 rpm. the motoring torque of 0.51 Nm has to be enough to accelerate the flywheel to the rated speed. We then present the comparison of the open-circuit field, the armature reaction field and winding inductance. next we analyze the induced voltage and the developed torque per unit stack length and unit weight of different machines. Finally, we estimate and compare the losses and the efficiency at motoring and generating modes.
