항공기 시뮬레이터용 조종 반력 시스템 실시간 제어기 개발 (Development of the Real-time Controller for Control Loading System in Aircraft Simulator)

  • In this study, we developed the real-time controller for control loading system (CLS) of aircraft simulator. The CLS is given the forces as inputs: the exerted force by a pilot, which is determined according to the position of the control stick, and the calculated force by the host computer. And then CLS makes the pilot feel the back loading force by supplying the motor drive with the actuator signal. The developed real-time controller for CLS is organized into the five parts which are the position sensing part including a encoder, the A/D converter part for the analog load cell signal, the communication interface part to communicate with the host, the D/A converter for the actuator signal, and the CPU DSP2812 to carry out a control algorithm. We constructed the test control loading system and carried out the experiment with the developed real-time controller. The experimental results showed that the real-time controller generates the back loading forces similar to the desired back loading force graph.

주축속도변동을 이용한 공기회전축식 미세구멍가공의 감시제어 (Monitoring and Control of the Air Spindle Based Microdrilling Using Spindle Speed Variations)

  • Microdrilling is one of the most difficult operations because of the poor chip discharge and the weakness of tool. This study is concerned about the development of a microdrilling monitoring system that is useful for minimizing the tool breakage and enhancing the machinability in the air spindle based microdrilling. The system is composed of a drilling state detection unit and an adaptive step-feed control unit that controls the micro-stepping motor driven spindle axis. Drilling states such as overload, tood breakage are recognized by the change of the air spindle speed which is measured via the reflective photo sensor. Based on the monitoring results, the adaptive step-feed control algorithm adjusts the step increment to keep the decrease of spindle speed within a specified range. The results of evaluation tests have shown that the developed system is very effective to prevent the breakage of microdrill and improves the productivity in comparison with the conventional microdrilling.

  • For power electronic devices, the thermal energy density per unit volume has seen a rapid increase in recent years, owing to the miniaturization and dense integration of electronic components, as well as the continuous development in performance and function. This research examined the validity and reliability of a thermal safety model for managing the heating conditions of TRIAC electronic components. Among the electronic components of a PCB, these can be considered as a heat source. Using the model, the heating conditions of TRIAC components were maintained at their design target levels in the process of developing an LMT motor drive board. In addition, the heating characteristics of the entire PCB were analyzed to verify its thermal safety. Finally, the reliability and validity of the thermal safety model for maintaining the heating conditions of the TRIAC electronic elements at adequate levels was verified using a numerical analysis method.

  • Lately, there exist growing demands to increase the firepower of mid-calibre automatic guns despite spatial limitations of armament. In this context, ammunitions of simple cylindrical shape are considered so advantageous that associated automatic guns are under development incorporating an intermittently rotating chamber mechanism. In this paper, relevant subsystems for such guns are to be described, and a digital controller to automate the entire system as well. Via dynamic simulations it proves to function well being able to drive the chamber at any constant speed up to 200spm, which is merely limited by the recoil performance. It is remarkable that the system synchronization idea in use is applicable to any other multi-actuator systems that should operate on the basis of event rather than time.

퍼지제어 알고리즘을 이용한 차량의 충돌방지 시스템 설계 (A Design on Collision Avoidance System of Vehicle using Fuzzy Control Algorithms)

  • In this paper, we introduce fuzzy algorithm similar to human's way of thinking and designed collision detection system of vehicles. First, before the model vehicles design, we did simulation collision detection using PID and Fuzzy Controller. As a result, P.O that is Percent Overshoot when make use of PID controller happened from smallest 32% to 45%. But, In case of using fuzzy controller they produced about 10% in 7% in case use 25 rule. We designed model vehicles that introduce Auto Guided Vehicle(AGV) with confirmed result in simulation. We set Polaroid 6500 sensor on the front of model automobile because distinguish existence automobile to the head. And we composed motor drive part to run vehicles and 80C196KC processor for control movement of vehicles influenced on distance data of the front vehicles that receive from supersonic waves sensor. In case of using Fuzzy controller, last value percent error happened about maximum 15% in smallest 5%, and we confirmed that distance with front vehicles kept when state hold time is about maximum 16 seconds in smallest 10 seconds.

  • High-speed railway is important transportation in the world because it has a lot of merits like as very comfortable, environmental benefits, energy savings, etc. The increase of demand for high-speed railway influence to develop of new hish-speed trains. Many countries introduced new high-speed train in the market and it meets to the market's needs. They adopt new technology and systems like that active suspension, synchronous permanent magnetic motor, distributed drive system, aero acoustics, etc. In Korea, the project for R&D of new high-speed train is launched in 2007. We need analysis for main properties of new high-speed train(HEMU-400x). This paper presents the comparisons, analyzed characteristics of main properties like as traction system and braking system. In this analysis, we can know our technical position in the world and what is important to focus on the development. It is very useful to develop a next generation high-speed train in Korea.

LNG 벙커링용 비상차단 밸브 디스크 변위 제어에 관한 연구 (Disc Displacement Control of the Emergency Shut-Down Valve for LNG Bunkering)

  • Among the currently available types of fuel, LNG emits a relatively small amount of nitrogen oxide and carbon dioxide when it burns in the engine. However, since LNG is a flammable material, leakage during bunkering can lead to accidents, such as fires. Therefore, it is necessary to install a remote operation emergency shut-down (ESD) valve to block the flow and leakage of LNG in an emergency situation that occurs during bunkering. The ESD valve uses a hydraulic driving device consisting of a hydraulic control valve and a hydraulic motor to control globe valve disc displacement, which regulates the flow path for LNG transfer. At this time, there are various nonlinearities in hydraulic driving devices; hence, it is necessary to design a controller with robust control performance against these uncertainties. In this study, modeling of the ESD valve was carried out, and a sliding mode controller to control the displacement of the globe valve disc was designed. As a result, it was confirmed that the designed control performance could be achieved by overcoming nonlinearity characteristics using the designed controller.

  • The variable structure controller is designed such that in sliding mode, the system moves along the switching plane in the vicinity of the switching plane, thus it is robust because it is not affected by the parameter fluctuations of the plant. However, a controller based on a variable structure may not meet the desired performance when it is commanded to track any input or is exposed to disturbances. This study proposes a sliding mode controller that follows the IVSC (Integral Variable Structure Control) approach with ELO (Extended Luenberger observer) to solve this problem. The proposed sliding mode control is applied to the velocity control of the hydraulic motor. The sliding plane was determined by the pole placement, and the control input was designed to ensure the existence of the sliding mode. The feasibility of modeling and controller are reviewed by comparing with conventional proportional-integral control through computer simulation using MATLAB software and experimenting on the cases of significant plant parameter fluctuations and disturbances.

  • 최근, 반도체장비, 공구이송장비 그리고 CNC같은 여러 산업분야에 선형기계의 응용이 크게 증가하고 있다. 그러나 선형전동기는 진동특성을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 이러한 응용분야에서 정상 및 과도응답상태에서 고성능 위치제어가 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서 간단하면서도 강력한 위치제어법을 2자유도 PID제어기를 이용하여 제안하였다. 이 기법은 과도현상없이 선형기계를 구동할 수 있는 잇점과 간단한 이득 동조를 할 수 있다. 일반적인 PID 제어기에 비해서 2자유도 제어기를 사용한 선형 전동기의 제어계의 성능 향상이 논의되었다. 그리고 시뮬레이션의 결과로 위치제어계의 응답에서 과도응답과 기동특성의 향상, 그리고 불필요한 진동성분의 제거에 유효함을 확인하였다.

온라인 전향 데드타임 보상기법 (On-Line Feed-Forward Dead-Time Compensation Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 온라인 데드타임 전향보상기법을 제안한다. 데드타임 효과(dead-time effect)로 인한 출력 전압 오차를 외란전압으로 간주하고 이를 추정하여 전향보상한다. 외란전압의 크기를 시간지연제어기법을 이용하여 추정하고, 추정된 값과 측정된 전류와 위치 정보로써 외란전압을 계산한다. 데드타임 효과를 보상하기 위해 계산된 외란전압은 전압지령에 전향된다. 제안된 방법은 DSP TMS320C31을 사용하여 디지털방식으로 영구자석 동기 전동기 구동 시스템에 적용이 된다. 제안된 방법의 효용성을 검증하기 위해 이 시스템에서 실험을 수행하였고 그 결과는 제안된 방법의 효과를 잘 보여주고 있다.
