A motion-control chip contains major functions that are necessary to control the position of each motor, such as generating velocity command profiles, reading motor positions, producing control signals, driving several types of servo amplifiers, and interfacing host processors. Existing motion-control chips can only generate velocity profiles of fixed characteristics, typically linear and s-shape smooth symmetric curves. But velocity profiles of these two characteristics are not optimal for all tasks in industrial robots and automation systems. Velocity profiles of other characteristics are preferred for some tasks. This paper proposes a motion-control chip to generate velocity profiles of desired acceleration and deceleration characteristics. The proposed motion-control chip is implemented with a field-programmable gate array by using the Very High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language and Handel-C. Experiments using velocity profiles of four different characteristics will be performed.

In this paper, we have developed a new mounting head system for flip chip. The proposed head system consists of a macro/micro positioning actuator for stable force control. The macro actuator provides the system with a gross motion while the micro device yields fine tuned motion to reduce the harmful impact force that occurs between very small sized electronic parts and the surface of a PCB(printed circuit board). In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed macro/micro chip mounting system, we compared the proposed system with the conventional chip mounting head equipped with a macro actuator only. A series of experiments were executed under the mounting conditions such as various access velocities and PCB stiffness. As a result of this study, a satisfactory voice coil actuator as the micro actuator has been developed, and its performance meet well the specifications desired for the design of the chip mounting head system and show good correspondence between theoretical analysis and experimental results.
This paper contributes to development of a new chip mounting head system for flip chip. This thesis is on tile development of LD(Laser Diode) chip tester and the control system based on graphical programming language(LabVIEW) to control the equipment. The LD chip tester is used to test the optic power and the optic spectrum of the LD Chip. The emitter size of LD chip and the diameter of the receiver(optic fiber) are very small. Therefore, in order to test each chip precisely, this tester needs high accuracy. However each motion part of the tester could not accomplish hish accuracy due to the limit of the mechanical performance. Hence. an image processing with machine vision was carried out in order to compensate for the error. and also a load test was carried out so as to reduce tile impact of load on chip while the probing motion device is working. The obtained results were within ${\pm}$5$\mu\textrm{m}$ error.
In this paper, we have developed a general purpose motion controller using an FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array). The multi-PID controllers on a single chip are implemented as a system-on-chip for multi-axis motion control. We also develop a PC GUI for an efficient interface control. Comparing with the commercial motion controller LM 629 it has multi-independent PID controllers so that it has several advantages such as space effectiveness, low cost and lower power consumption. In order to test the performance of the proposed controller, robot finger is controlled. The robot finger has three fingers with 2 joints each. Finger movements show that position tracking was very effective. Another experiment of balancing an inverted pendulum on a cart has been conducted to show the generality of the proposed FPGA PID controller. The controller has well maintained the balance of the pendulum.

Recently the solution integrated of vision and motion controller which are important element in automatiomn system has been many developed. However typically such a solutions has a many case that integrated vision processing and motion control into network or organized two chip solution on one module. We implement one chip solution integrated into vision and motion controller using Zynq-7000 that is developed recently as extended processing platform. We also apply EtherCAT to motion control that is industrial Ethernet protocol which have compatibility for open standardization Ethernet in order to control of motion because EtherCAT has a secure to realtime control and can treat massive data.
Even though there were no clear definitions of the short game and short game distance, short game capability is crucial for a good golf score. Generally, chip shot and pitch shot are regarded as two principal components of the short game. Chip shot is a short, low trajectory shot played to the green or from trouble back into play. Pitch shot is a high trajectory shot of short length. Biomechanical studies were conducted usually to analyze full swing and putting motions. The purpose of the study was to reveal the kinematical differences between professional golfers' 30 yard $53^{\circ}wedge$ chip shot and $56^{\circ}wedge$ pitch shot motions. Fifteen male professional golfers were recruited for the study. Kinematical data were collected by the 60 Hz three-dimensional motion analysis system. Statistical comparisons were made by paired t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan of the SPSS 12.0K with the $\alpha$ value of .05. Results show that both the left hand and the ball were placed left of the center of the left and right foot at address. The left hand position of the chip shot was significantly left side of that of the pitch shot. But the ball position of the pitch shot was significantly right side of that of the chip shot. All body segments aligned to the left of the target line, open, at address. Except shoulder, there were no significant pelvis, knee, and feet alignment differences between chip shot and pitch shot. These differences at address seem for the ball height control. Pitch shot swing motions(the shoulder and pelvis rotation and the club head travel distance) were significantly bigger than those of the chip shot. Club head velocity of the pitch shot was significantly faster than that of the chip shot at the moment of impact. This was for the same shot length control with different lofted clubs. Swing motion differences seem mainly caused by the same shot length control with different ball height control.

In this paper we developed flip-chip bonder using XY stage, liner-rotary actuator and vision system. We depicted the major parts of the developed flip-chip bonder. Then we discussed several problems and their solutions such as vision and motion control, pick-up module position accuracy, separation of chip from the blue taped hoop, etc. We used a post guide to improve the horizontal positional accuracy against the long arm. Also, we used an ejector module and synchronization technique for easy chip separation from the blue tape.
The Motion controllers provide the sophisticated performance and enhanced capabilities we can see in the movements of robotic systems. Several types of motion controllers are available, some based on the kind of overall control system in use. PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)-based motion controllers still predominate. The many peoples use MCU (Micro Controller Unit)-based board level motion controllers and will continue to in the near-term future. These motion controllers control a variety motor system like robotic systems. Generally, They consist of large and complex circuits. PLC-based motion controller consists of high performance PLC, development tool, and application specific software. It can be cause to generate several problems that are large size and space, much cabling, and additional high coasts. MCU-based motion controller consists of memories like ROM and RAM, I/O interface ports, and decoder in order to operate MCU. Additionally, it needs DPRAM to communicate with host PC, counter to get position information of motor by using encoder signal, additional circuits to control servo, and application specific software to generate a various velocity profiles. It can be causes to generate several problems that are overall system complexity, large size and space, much cabling, large power consumption and additional high costs. Also, it needs much times to calculate velocity profile because of generating by software method and don't generate various velocity profiles like arbitrary velocity profile. Therefore, It is hard to generate expected various velocity profiles. And further, to embed real-time OS (Operating System) is considered for more reliable motion control. In this paper, the structure of chip-based precision motion controller is proposed to solve above-mentioned problems of control systems. This proposed motion controller is designed with a FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) by using the VHDL (Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language) and Handel-C that is program language for deign hardware. This motion controller consists of Velocity Profile Generator (VPG) part to generate expected various velocity profiles, PCI Interface part to communicate with host PC, Feedback Counter part to get position information by using encoder signal, Clock Generator to generate expected various clock signal, Controller part to control position of motor with generated velocity profile and position information, and Data Converter part to convert and transmit compatible data to D/A converter.
The purpose of this paper is show that an chip mounter can be modeled by stochastic petri nets, and that the simulator to verify a fitness of the program to assemble. The chip mounter can be constructed by using the petri net class (CPetriNet) based on the object-oriented programming. By using this simulator, we can get the information about the description of motion of the chip mounter, and moreover, we can evaluate the productivity.
