In this paper aeroelastic behavior of 3-phase nano-composite beam-plate with double delaminations is investigated. It is tried to study the effect of carbon nano-tubes (CNTs) on critical flutter pressure of reinforced damaged nano-composite structures. In this case, the CNTs are appending to the polymer matrix uniformly. The Eshelby-Mori-Tanaka model is used to obtain the effective material properties of 3-phase nano-composite beam-plate. To investigate the aeroelastic behavior of delaminated beam-plate subjected to supersonic flow, it is assumed that the damaged segments are forced to vibrate together. The boundary conditions and auxiliary conditions at edges of delaminated segments are used to predict critical flutter pressure. The influence of CNTs and different delamination parameters such as delamination length, axial position and its position through thickness are investigated on critical flutter pressure.

For the analysis of solids containing a number of microinclusions or microvoids, in which the mechanical effect of each inclusion or void, a numerical approach is need to be developed to understand the mechanical behavior of damaged solids containing these defects. In this study, the simulation method using the natural element method is proposed for the analysis of effective elastic moduli. The mechanical effect of each inclusion or void is considered by controlling the material constants for Gaussian points. The relationship between area fraction of microinclusions or microvoids and effective elastic moduli is studied to verify the validity of the proposed method. The obtained results are in good agreement with the theoretical results such as differential method, self-consistent method, Mori-Tanaka method, as well as the numerical results by rigid body spring model.
In the present research post-buckling of a cut out plate reinforced through carbon nanotubes (CNTs) resting on an elastic foundation is studied. Material characteristics of CNTs are hypothesized to be altered within thickness orientation which are calculated according to Mori-Tanaka model. For modeling the system mathematically, first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) is applied and using energy procedure, the governing equations can be derived. With respect to Rayleigh-Ritz procedure as well as Newton-Raphson iterative scheme, the motion equations are solved and therefore, post-buckling behavior of structure will be tracked. Diverse parameters as well as their reactions on post-buckling paths focusing cut out measurement, CNT's volume fraction and agglomeration, dimension of plate and an elastic foundation are investigated. It is revealed that presence of a square cut out can affect negatively post-buckling behavior of structure. Moreover, adding nanocompsits in the matrix leads to enhancement of post-buckling response of system.

A multi-scale epoxy/CNT/fiberglass annular sector plate is studied in this paper in the view of determining nonlinear forced vibration characteristics. A 3D Mori-Tanaka model is employed for evaluating multi-scale material properties. Thus, all of glass fibers are assumed to have uni-direction alignment and CNTs have random diffusion. The geometry of annular sector plate can be described based on the open angle and the value of inner/outer radius. In order to solve governing equations and derive exact forced vibration curves for the multi-scale annular sector, Jacobi elliptic functions are used. Obtained results demonstrate the significance of CNT distribution, geometric nonlinearity, applied force, fiberglass volume, open angle and fiber directions on forced vibration characteristics of multi-scale annular sector plates.
Dynamic response of a laminated porous concrete beam reinforced by nanoparticles subjected to harmonic transverse dynamic load is investigated considering structural damping. The effective nanocomposite properties are evaluated on the basis of Mori-Tanaka model. The concrete beam is modeled by the sinusoidal shear deformation theory (SSDT). Utilizing nonlinear strains-deflection, energy relations and Hamilton's principal, the governing final equations of the concrete laminated beam are calculated. Utilizing differential quadrature method (DQM) as well as Newmark method, the dynamic displacement of the concrete laminated beam is discussed. The influences of porosity parameter, nanoparticles volume percent, agglomeration of nanoparticles, boundary condition, geometrical parameters of the concrete beam and harmonic transverse dynamic load are studied on the dynamic displacement of the laminated structure. Results indicated that enhancing the nanoparticles volume percent leads to decrease in the dynamic displacement about 63%. In addition, with considering porosity of the concrete, the dynamic displacement enhances about 2.8 time.

This paper deals with the dynamic buckling behavior of truncated conical shells composed of carbon nanotube composites, an important area of study in view of their very wide engineering applications in aerospace industries. In this regard, the effective material properties of the nanocomposite have been computed using the Mori-Tanaka model, which has already been established for such analyses. The motion equations ruling the structure's behavior are derived using first order shear deformation theory, Hamilton's principle, and energy method. This will provide adequate background information on its dynamic response. In an effort to probe the dynamic instability region of the structure, differential quadrature method combined with Bolotin's method will be adopted to tackle the resulting motion equations, which enables efficient and accurate analysis. This work considers the effect of various parameters in the geometrical parameters and the volume fraction of CNTs on the structure's DIR. Specifically, it became clear that increasing the volume fraction of CNTs shifted the frequency range of the DIR to higher values, indicating the significant role of nanocomposite composition regarding structure stability.

This article presents an analysis into the nonlinear forced vibration of a micro cylindrical shell reinforced by carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with considering agglomeration effects. The structure is subjected to magnetic field and transverse harmonic mechanical load. Mindlin theory is employed to model the structure and the strain gradient theory (SGT) is also used to capture the size effect. Mori-Tanaka approach is used to estimate the equivalent material properties of the nanocomposite cylindrical shell and consider the CNTs agglomeration effect. The motion equations are derived using Hamilton's principle and the differential quadrature method (DQM) is employed to solve them for obtaining nonlinear frequency response of the cylindrical shells. The effect of different parameters including magnetic field, CNTs volume percent and agglomeration effect, boundary conditions, size effect and length to thickness ratio on the nonlinear forced vibrational characteristic of the of the system is studied. Numerical results indicate that by enhancing the CNTs volume percent, the amplitude of system decreases while considering the CNTs agglomeration effect has an inverse effect.
