Purpose: This study aims to explore how consumers respond to the immoral actions of a CEO. More specifically, this research focuses on the moral reasoning processes used by consumers in order to maintain support for the CEO despite the immoral action. In addition, this research suggests that support for the CEO would improve product purchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology: To test the hypotheses presented, an online research company was hired and online survey was conducted with adult participants. Online research company sent an email to the potential subjects asking their participation in an online survey. Subjects were able to participate in the online survey by clicking a link to the survey. When the participants clicked the link, they were instructed to read a fictitious newspaper article on a CEO's immoral action. And then, they were asked to answer several questions online. Responses were obtained from 336 adults participants and data were analyzed using SPSS Hayes Macro for a moderation effect and AMOS for a structural equation model. Result: Moral reasoning processes were divided into moral decoupling and moral rationalization and analyzed to determine their influence on product purchase. Also in this study, we suggest the public self-consciousness of consumers as an antecedent of moral reasoning processes, and argue that consumers with high public self-consciousness are more likely to engage in moral decoupling than moral rationalization. Conclusions: Our results showed that moral decoupling and moral rationalization improved the consumer's perception of corporate ethicality, which increased product purchase intention. In addition, consumers with high public self-consciousness were more likely to engage in moral decoupling than in moral rationalization. In addition, this research suggested that severity of the scandal would moderate the impact of public self-consciousness on moral decoupling. However, this hypothesis was not supported statistically since most participants perceived the scandal to be a highly severe incident, that may lead to an insignificant interaction effect between severity of the scandal and public self-consciousness. This research expands the scope of available research on corporate ethics and consumer responses to negative information involving celebrities and provides practical implications for corporate crisis management.
Purpose: Social influence has a decisive role in shaping a person's cognition and behavior. Chinese face consciousness, including moral component, is an important part of Chinese traditional culture, which influences people to implement moral behavior. With both eye-tracking technology and traditional questionnaire, this research aims to explore people's moral psychology and the psychological processing mechanisms of Chinese face consciousness, as well as the impact of Chinese face consciousness on the preference for the ecological product. Method and Data: 75 college and MBA students' eye movement data were collected when they read different kinds of moral materials, as well as data from the subsequent questionnaires. To test the hypothesis, ANOVA analysis and Heat Map analysis were performed. Besides, the PROCESS of bootstrap was used to test mediation effect. Findings: The results reveal that: 1. Compared to the moral-situation reading, when subjects read immoral situations, they need more processing time due to the moral dissonance and cognitive load. 2. Compared to the control condition, when threatened moral self is primed, subjects prefer to choose ecological product. 3. Protective face orientation is the mediator between threatened moral self and preference to ecological product. Key Contributions: First, this study broadens the use of eye-tracking technology in marketing and demonstrates a better understanding of the relationship between morality and consumer behavior in a more scientific way. Second, this study not only distinguishes the meanings between "protective face orientation" and "acquisitive face orientation", but also innovatively validates that when moral self is threatened, consumers tend to choose ecological product as moral compensation in order to protect their face. It can shed light on the promotion of ecological product in practical applications.
Toegye and Yulgok both tried to obtain the extent of goodness from the emotion they feel in reality. Toegye thought the extent of goodness is being obtained by Li[理], Yulgok thought it by Chi[氣]. Toegye explains that Moral Mind is meaningful as it make people identify themselves as moral existence, Yulgok explains Moral Mind is meaningful that it satisfies standard of appropriateness. While Toegye and Yulgok define Moral Mind and Human Mind as emotion of Yi-fa[已發], Chutzu defines Moral Mind and Human Mind as consciousness. and he defines consciousness as 'preparing Li(理) and practicing the emotion'. So according to Chutzu, Moral Mind and Human Mind derives the reaction from the Li(理) in order to respond to the external stimulation. Supervision of mind is completed by consciousness of Moral Mind. It means that mind not limited to Yi-fa[已發]. Then we should think that Toegye and Yulgok's Theory of Human Mind?Moral Mind is something newly resulted from their own philosophic problem. Toegye and Yulgok's Theory of Human Mind?Moral Mind is commonly explaining human mind in experiential aspect, and it will be esteemed as definite and realistic theory of Mind because it emphasizes willingness which motivates an essential activity.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Internet copyright education on ethical consciousness, moral judgement and piracy intention in Internet copyright. The result of empirical research shows that Internet copyright education effects on piracy intention through moral judgement in order to make a right or wrong decision about the actual piracy behavior. On the other hand, the internet copyright education does not effect on ethical consciousness and piracy intention directly. This result implies that internet copyright education do not actually impact on the attitude and consciousness of online piracy, and that right understanding and proper internet ethic education program have to be considered to protect negative consequences by online piracy.
The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for developing hospice intervention strategies that can enhance hospice care perception plus attitude toward death of nursing students by grasping the factors affecting the perception of first grade students. Data were collected from 185 nursing students at J university in G-do. Analysis was done using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Multiple regression with IBM SPSS WIN/25.0. Hospice care perception was correlated to moral behavior (r=.22, p=.002) and biomedical ethics consciousness (r=.29, p<.001). The most influential factor on the subjects' hospice care perception was biomedical ethics consciousness (β=.224, p=.012), followed by high financial competence of parents (β=.187, p=.027). The explanatory power was 11.5%. Therefore, systematic programs that can enhance moral behavior and biomedical ethics consciousness are necessary to promote awareness of hospice care. Also, the following data can be utilized as basic data to help develop hospice education programs.

Purpose: This study was conducted to exam the effect of a biomedical ethics education program on the consciousness of biomedical ethics, moral sensitivity and critical thinking disposition in nursing students. Method: A quasi-experimental research design and repeated measured ANOVA were used. The participants were divided into an experimental group (n=148) and a control group (n=169). Each group underwent freshman university nursing training in two major cities. The mean age was 21.3 years and the time of providing the biomedical ethics education program was 15 hours for 15 weeks. The experimental group was provided biomedical ethics education during the semester; the control group was not provided any biomedical ethics education. Results: The consciousness of biomedical ethics was increased significantly in the experimental group (t=-4.724, p<.001). Moral sensitivity was increased significantly in the experimental group (t=-2.021, p<.004). Critical thinking disposition was increased significantly in the experimental group (t=-5.775, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of the study show that providing biomedical ethics education to nursing students is an effective method to increase the consciousness of biomedical ethics, moral sensitivity and critical thinking disposition.

This study was conducted to identify the factors influencing consciousness of biomedical ethics, moral sensitivity and critical thinking disposition with respect to the Code of Ethics of nurses among nursing students. A descriptive correlation research design was used for this study. The subjects were 299 nursing students in two large cities from 1 June to 31 July 2015. Collected data were analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test and stepwise multiple regression by the SPSS 22.0 program. The results revealed that female subjects comprised 86.65% of the subjects and the mean age was 21.67 years. Awareness of the Code of Ethics for nurses was positively correlated with the consciousness of biomedical ethics(p<0.001), moral sensitivity(p<0.001), and critical thinking disposition(p<0.001). However, there were negative correlations between grade(p=0.017), marital state(p=0.012), and the possibility of increasing ethical problems according to the development of bioscience(p=0.012). Significant influencing factors of the awareness of the Code of Ethics for nurses included grade(p=0.013), marital state(p=0.030), consciousness of biomedical ethics(p=0.017), moral sensitivity(p<0.001), and critical thinking disposition(p=0.001), with apower of explanation of 26.3%. The results of this study show that the consciousness of biomedical ethics, moral sensitivity and critical thinking disposition are factors influencing the code of ethics for nurses among nursing students.

Presently the instructional model for internet ethics education is modeled after the integrated morality. The model is based on the assumption that ethical awareness will lead to ethical activities which is based on the theory that cognition is correlated to the behavioral domains. But the side effects of the information society in the cyber space increased even when the education for the awareness of ethics in the cyber space has been taught more aggressively than before. In this study, the relation of the cognition for information ethics and the ethical behavior in the cyber space was analyzed in order to find out the implications for the effective internet ethics education model. The tools used are the 'DIT (Defining Issues Test)' to measure the behavioral ability in the physical world, the Information Ethics Judgment to measure the behavioral ability in the cyber space, and the self diagnostic tool of 'Internet ethics awareness' to measure the level of cognitive knowledge for internet ethics. The correlation of three measures was analyzed. The results were college students' levels of ethics from three tools from are considerably low. Moral judgement and information ethics judgement were not correlated which means that the behavior in the physical world was not necessarily correlated to the behavior in the cyber space. The three measurements were not statistically significantly correlated. Therefore the cognitive awareness for the information ethics were not necessarily correlated to the ethical behavior in the cyber space. Ethical cognition and the moral behavior need to be taught with equal emphasis as they do not have strong correlation.

The purpose of this study was to find the effect of systemic biomedical ethics education program on moral sensitivity, critical thinking disposition and consciousness of biomedical ethics nursing student. This study is a quasi-experimental research design and repeated measured ANOVA was used to analyzed the collected data statistically on this study. Data was collected from 1st September to 31 of December 2014. Nursing students and nurses in A and S cities participated in this study as subjects. 32 nursing students were assigned to an experimental group, and 33 nursing students were assigned to control group A, 26 nurses were assigned control group B, total subjects were 91. There are significant different in consciousness of biomedical ethics(F=3.432, p=.037). In the category of consciousness of biomedical ethics, there are significant different in 'right to life of fetus'(F=4.476, p=.014) and 'prenatal diagnosis of fetus'(F=6.207, p=.003), and 'right to life of newborn(F=6.207, p=.003) between experimental group and two control groups. The biomedical ethics education influenced the positive effect on moral sensitivity, critical thinking disposition and consciousness of biomedical ethics of nursing students, and shown the significant effect to enhance the consciousness of biomedical ethics for nursing students.
