비정질 셀레늄 디지털 X선 검출기에 대한 잔류 전하 제거 기술 (Latent Charge Erasing Technique for a-Se Digital X-ray Detector)

  • Currently there is much interested in removing latent charge that is caused to latent image effect and blurring of obtained image as well as reduction of x-ray conversion efficiency in digital radiography system. To remove latent charge a-Se film is irradiated by light with 3500 lux using halogen lamp and optical fiber. We measured dark current and photosensitivity to analyze removing effect of latent charge, then compared with and without light erasing method. The reduction of measured signal due to latent charge effect was 32.5 %, and the removal effect of latent charge by using light erase method was its 95.5 %.

  • Recombinant light chain of Clostridium botulinum neurotoxin type B stimulated transglutaminase activity in a dose dependent manner, Compared to native toxin, recombinant light chain showed av greater stimulatory effect on transglutaminase activity. Zn-chelating agents, inhibiting the proteolytic activity of the clostridial toxins, did not interfere with this stimulation. These results suggest that the light chain plays a major stimulatory role, which is not due to its metallopeptidase activity, but is possibly due to specific interaction with transglutaminase. More importantly, this report provides a new insight into the intracellular action of C. botulinum neurotoxins.

  • New light-emitting polyimides were synthesized from the conventional polycondensation of 5,5'-bis(4-aminophenyl)-2,2'bifuryl (PFDA) with fluorinated and non-fluorinated aromatic dianhydrides, providing a good quality of thin films: 6F-PFDA PI and ODPA-PFDA PI. Their UV-visible absorbance and photoluminescent characteristics were investigated. The polymers emit blue and blue-greenish light in a quantum yield of 7.3-14.9%, depending on the polymer backbone.

  • We have developed low voltage driving white organic light emitting diode with new electron transport layer. The with light emission was realized with a yellow dopant, rubrene and blue-emitting DPVBi layer. The new electron transport layer results in very high current density at low voltage, causing a reduction of driving voltage. The device with new electron transport layer shows a brightness of 1000 cd/m2 at 4.3 V.

Pyromellitic dianhydride as a cathode interfacial layer in the organic light emitting diodes: thickness optimization and its electroluminescent characteristics

  • In this work, pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) was used as a cathode interfacial layer in the organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and its thickness was optimized. Various electrical and optical characterizations of the OLEDs having various thicknesses of the PMDA cathode interfacial layer revealed that the best OLED performance could be achieved by using 0.5 nm-thick PMDA layer compared to the control device without any interfacial layer.

  • We have developed the transparent passivation layer for transparent organic light-emitting devices (TOLEDs) using CsCl layer. The CsCl passivation layer improves the optical transmittance of Ca/Ag double layer which have used as a semitransparent cathode, resulting in substantial increase of the luminance by the enhanced light extraction out of the cathode surface of the TOLEDs.

  • We have demonstrated that the light extraction efficiency of GaN based light emitting diodes (LEDs) can be significantly enhanced by using photonic crystal and microcavity (PCMC) effects. It was found that the extraction efficiency of the PCMC-LEDs is 9.5 times larger than that of the normal LEDs.

  • This paper describes a novel current driving circuit for an active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED). The proposed current driving circuit has a lower power consumption and higher chip density for the AMOLED display compared with the conventional one because all elements operate at a normal voltage and are shielded from the high voltage of the panel. The chip size and power consumption of the current driving circuit for an AMOLED can be improved by about 30 to 40% and 10 to 20%, respectively, compared with the conventional one.

  • We have realized static image on organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) using photoluminescence degradation. Ultraviolet (UV) was irradiated to the glass side of device. UV power was 350 Wand the wavelength was 365 nm. The UV irradiation gives rise to the degradation of photoluminescence. Due to the degradation, the current density-voltage curve was shifted to the higher voltage side and the luminescence was also degraded by the current and photoluminescence drop. The negative imaged films were prepared to control the transmittance of UV. The UV light was passed through the film. By this method, the film image was transferred to the device with reversed image and the static image was realized on the OLED.

  • We have fabricated organic white light emitting device by two colors from yellow fluorescence material (5,6,11,12)-Tetraphenylnaphthacene(Rubrene) and blue phosphorescent material (iridum-bis(4,6-difluorophenylpyridinato-N,C2)-picolinate(FIrpic). The threshold voltage is 5.3 V, and the brightness reaches 1000 cd/$m^2$ at 11 V, 14.5 mA/$m^2$. The color of the light corresponds to a CIE coordinate of (0.30, 0.38). The highest efficiency of the device can reach 9.5 cd/A or 5.5 lm/W at 6 V, 0.1 mA/$m^2$.
