  • In this paper we proposed a new electrode design to get an enhanced luminous efficiency in AC PDP. The width and shape of the TTO electrode were varied, and the electro-optical properties such as luminance, power consumption, luminous efficiency were estimated with the variation of frequency, duty ratio and applied voltage. The discharge characteristics were investigated to explain the effect of the new electrode structure on the electro-optical properties.

  • 현재 문재인정부의 노동개혁정책은 지난 시기의 국가주도 노동개혁정치와는 구조적 조건이 크게 다르다. 특히 신자유주의 20년에 대항하는 촛불혁명의 연장이자 그 결산이라는 점에서 중요한 차별성을 갖는다. 이런 조건의 변화는 새로운 노동체제출발일 수도 있다는 긍정적 전망을 가능케 한다. 그렇지만 향후 노동개혁의 성패가 매우 불확실한 상황인 것도 사실이다. 그것은 자유주의 보수국가의 개혁이자 보수우위의 정치적 이데올로기적 지형이라는 구조적 요인에 기인한다. 또 경기변동의 불안정성과 항상적인 고용불안 등과 같은 상황적 요인이 맞물려 있기 때문이다. 이런 불확실성을 최대한 줄이기 위해서는 주체의 전략적 실천이 매우 중요하다. 현재의 상황이 노동체제 전환의 과도기일 수도 있으므로 민주노조운동 주체실천의 중요성은 더 크다고 할 수 있다.

Nitric Oxide가 인간 정자세포의 기능에 미치는 효과에 대한 연구 (The Dose-Dependent Effects of Nitric Oxide on Human Sperm Cell Function)

  • This study was performed to determine the effects of nitric oxide on human sperm cell function. Semen samples were obtained from normal healthy volunteers. Motile spermatozoas collected by swim-up method were incubated up to 24 hours in Ham's F-10 medium supplemented with a various concentration of sodium nitroprusside (nitric oxide releasing agent). Sperm motility, hyperactivation, acrosome reaction rate, and acrosin activity were determined. The results are as follows; 1. 1mM of SNP resulted in a significant decrease in sperm motility ($44.8%{\pm}8.9%:78.1%{\pm}6.3%$, and hyperactivation $(10.4%{\pm}6.4%:47.7%:{\pm}9.5%)$ after incubation for 3 hours compared with the control group (Ham's F-10 alone), but had no effect on acrosome reaction. 2. At $100{\mu}M$ SNP, sperm motility was reduced after incubation for 6 hours $(54.8%{\pm}3.2%)$ compared with that of the control group $(82.7%{\pm}8.9%)$, but hyperactivation and acrosome reaction were not affected. 3. However, a lower concentration (less than $10{\mu}M$) of SNP had no effect on sperm motility and hyperactivation for 8 hours of incubation but significantly decreased them when incubation periods were increased up to 24 hours compared with the control group. On the other hand, $1{\mu}M$ and $10{\mu}M$ SNP significantly increased the acrosome reaction rate in both acrosomal status ($17.3%{\pm}5.2%$, $23.5%{\pm}4.7%$, respectively) and acrosin activity ($34.3{\mu}IU{\pm}10.5{\mu}IU,\;45.6{\mu}IU{\pm}5.6{\mu}IU$, respectively) as compared with the control group $(7.0%{\pm}4.0%,\;9.5{\mu}IU{\pm}3.4{\mu}IU)$. These results indicate that SNP, NO releasing agent, has a dose-dependent effects on the sperm cell function. Therefore it may positively affect the fertilization by promoting acrosomal reaction at a lower concentration (less than $10{\mu}M$).

Altering UDP-Glucose Donor Substrate Specificity of Bacillus licheniformis Glycosyltransferase towards TDP-Glucose

  • The specificity of a Bacillus licheniformis uridine diphosphate (UDP) glycosyltransferase, YjiC, was increased towards thymidine diphosphate (TDP)-sugar by site-directed mutagenesis. The Arg-282 of YjiC was identified and investigated by substituting with Trp. Conversion rate and kinetic parameters were compared between YjiC and its variants with several acceptor substrates such as 7-hydroxyflavone (7-HF), 4',7-dihydroxyisoflavone, 7,8-dihydroxyflavone and curcumin. Molecular docking of TDP-glucose and 7-HF with YjiC model showed pi-alkyl interaction with Arg-282 and His-14, and pi-pi interaction with $His^{14}$ and thymine ring. YjiC (H14A) variant lost its glucosylation activity with TDP-glucose validating significance of His-14 in binding of TDP-sugars.

  • In this paper, we propose IBS(ITO-BUS Separated) electrode structure. BUS electrode lines are placed apart from the ITO electrode lines, and they are electrically connected with vertical auxiliary electrodes. We varied the lengths of the vertical electrodes as 70, 120, 320um. The highest luminous efficiency and the largest IR emission peak were obtained for 70um length.

문재인 정부 복지정책에 대한 인식 (Public Opinions on the Welfare Policies of the Moon Jae-in Government)

  • 국민들은 문재인 정부가 추진하는 복지정책을 어떻게 인식하고 있는가? 이 연구에서는 성인 1,000명을 대상으로 2018년 12월에 진행한 설문조사를 통해 복지정책과 관련된 주요 현안에 대해서 응답자들이 어떠한 인식을 하는지, 어떠한 요인이 복지정책에 관한 인식과 관련을 맺는지를 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 응답자들은 정부의 적극적인 복지 제공 역할을 대체로 긍정적으로 인식하였다. 문재인 정부의 보건복지 주요 국정과제 중에서는 건강보험 보장성 강화에 대한 찬성 의견이 가장 높았다. 국민연금 재정문제 해법과 관련하여, 보험료 인상, 급여액 삭감, 수급개시 연령 상향조정 등의 개혁방안에는 반발이 심한 것으로 나타났다. 응답자들은 정부의 재정지원방식과 관련하여 효율성과 평등성을 모두 중시하였다. 응답자의 1/3 만이 정부의 국민 행복 증진 기여를 긍정적으로 인식하였다. 상이한 정치사회적 가치관과 경제적 이해관계에 따라 복지정책에 대한 인식에 차이가 발생하였다. 특히 정치성향과 주관적 계층의식이 복지정책에 대한 인식과 긴밀한 관련성을 맺었다. 분석결과에 기반하여 향후 복지정책의 추진방향에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

남서대서양 오징어채낚기어업에서 달빛이 어획에 미치는 영향 (Influence of moon light to the fishing of squid jigging fishery in the Southwest Atlantic Ocean)

  • The aim of this study is to investigate influence of moon light to the fishing of squid jigging fishery in the southwest Atlantic Ocean based on analyses of date taken from 127 vessels in Falkland fishing ground by squid jigging fishery from 2010 to 2015. Catch and CPUE were analyzed between the new moon and full moon phases. Catches of the new moon phase were higher than those of the full moon phase by 7.6% and CPUE expressed in mt/day-vessels and mt/line-day were also higher by 18.2%, 18.2% respectively. However, as a result of statistical analysis at a significance level of p > 0.05, no significant statistical differences in catch, mt/day-vessels and mt/line-day were found between the new moon and the full moon as a result of statistical analysis at a significance level of p > 0.05.

Diagnostic Accuracy of Clinical Test for Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury: Systematic Review

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to conduct a systematic review of randomized controlled studies from 2012 to present that explore the diagnostic accuracy of clinical tests used for diagnosing anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Methods: Study design: Systematic review. Literature search of the PubMed and Scholar databases was conducted using keywords related to diagnostic accuracy of clinical tests for ACL injury. The PRISMA Guidelines were followed to conduct this study. The Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool was utilized to assess the quality of each included study. Results: As a result, 8 studies were included, and 6 clinical tests used in ACL tears were evaluated for diagnostic accuracy. The pivot shift test was reported as having the highest +LR (29.5) value with a sensitivity of 59% and a specificity of 98%. However, the test with the lowest -LR value was the lever test, and the values were as follows: -LR (0.08), +LR (4.7), specificity (80%), sensitivity (94%). Conclusion: In this study, it was concluded that a single clinical test is not sufficient to determine the presence of ACL injury. Test combinations have a higher diagnostic accuracy than a single test. In this study, the accuracy of the clinical tests was examined without considering the amount of ACL rupture and acute-chronic condition. Further research is required to examine the impact of these two factors on diagnostic accuracy of clinical test.

Biotransformation of Flavone by CYP105P2 from Streptomyces peucetius

  • Biocatalytic transfer of oxygen in isolated cytochrome P450 or whole microbial cells is an elegant and efficient way to achieve selective hydroxylation. Cytochrome P450 CYP105P2 was isolated from Streptomyces peucetius that showed a high degree of amino acid identity with hydroxylases. Previously performed homology modeling, and subsequent docking of the model with flavone, displayed a reasonable docked structure. Therefore, in this study, in a pursuit to hydroxylate the flavone ring, CYP105P2 was co-expressed in a two-vector system with putidaredoxin reductase (camA) and putidaredoxin (camB) from Pseudomonas putida for efficient electron transport. HPLC analysis of the isolated product, together with LC-MS analysis, showed a monohydroxylated flavone, which was further established by subsequent ESI/MS-MS. A successful 10.35% yield was achieved with the whole-cell bioconversion reaction in Escherichia coli. We verified that CYP105P2 is a potential bacterial hydroxylase.

  • Alzheimer's disease (AD), one of the most representative neurodegenerative diseases, has diverse neurobiological and pathophysiological mechanisms. Treatment strategies targeting a single mechanism have repeated faced failures because the mechanism of neuronal cell death is very complex that is not fully understood yet. Since complex mechanisms exist to explain AD, a variety of diagnostic biomarkers for diagnosing AD are required. Moreover, standardized evaluations for comprehensive diagnosis using neuropsychological, imaging, and laboratory tools are needed. In this review, we summarize the latest clinical, neuropsychological, imaging, and laboratory evaluations to diagnose patients with AD based on our own experience in conducting a prospective study.
