지형적 특성을 고려한 우리나라의 농업기후지대 구분 (Classification of Agroclimatic Zones Considering the Topography Characteristics in South Korea)

  • This study was conducted to classify agroclimatic zones in South Korea. To classify the agroclimatic zones, such climatic factors as amount of rainfall from April to May, amount of rainfall in October, monthly average air temperature in January, monthly average air temperature from April to May, monthly average air temperature from April to September, monthly average air temperature from December to March, monthly minimum air temperature in January, monthly minimum air temperature from April to May, Warmth Index were considered as major influencing factors on the crop growth. Climatic factors were computed from monthly air temperature and precipitation of climatological normal year (1981~2010) at 1 km grid cell estimated from a geospatial climate interpolation method. The agroclimatic zones using k-means cluster analysis method were classified into 6 zones.

  • Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, is subject to high levels of atmospheric pollution during winter, which severely threatens the health of the population. By analyzing surface meteorological data, ground-based LIDAR data, and radiosonde data collected from 2008 to 2016, we studied seasonal variations in particulate matter (PM) concentration, visibility, relative humidity, temperature inversion layer thickness, and temperature inversion intensity. PM concentrations started to exceed the 24-h average standard ($50{\mu}g/m^3$) in mid-October and peaked from December to January. Visibility showed a significant negative correlation with PM concentration. Relative humidity was within the range of 60-80% when there were high PM concentrations. Both temperature inversion layer thickness and intensity reached maxima in January and showed similar seasonal variations with respect to PM concentration. The monthly average temperature inversion intensity showed a strong positive correlation with the monthly average $PM_{2.5}$ concentration. Furthermore, the temperature inversion layer thickness exceeded 500 m in midwinter and overlaid the weak mixed layer during daytime. Radiative cooling enhanced by the basin-like terrain led to a stable urban atmosphere, which strengthened particulate air pollution.

한국 남부지방 난온대성 상록활엽수의 동해피해 -전라남도 광양시 중마동의 후박나무를 중심으로- (Freezing Injury of Evergreen Broad-Leaved Trees in Warm-Temperature in the Southern Region in Korea -A Case of Machilus Thunbergii Siebold & Zucc. on the Jungma-dong, Gwangyang-city, Jeollanam Province-)

  • This study was carried out to clarify the climatic factors of the freezing injury for the judgement on the adaptation areas of evergreen broad-leaved trees. We surveyed and analyzed the climatic factors of the freezing injury to Machilus thunbergii Siebold & Zucc. on the streets with the analyzation of planting grounds, soil conditions and the surrounding buildings. This study showed that only the minimum air temperature factor out of the other climate elements, which were the annual precipitation; the average annual temperature; the average monthly temperature of january; the average monthly minimum temperature of January; the average temperature of the coldest month; the warmth index and the coldness index, was matched up with the previous theories and reports on the freezing damages on the evergreen broad leaved trees and Machilus thunbergii Siebold & Zucc. The freezing injury of Machilus thunbergii Siebold & Zucc was occurred when the mean minimum temperature of the coldest month(TMC) in winter season fell down below $-4.1^{\circ}C$ and the temperature fell down below $-9.2^{\circ}C$. The freezing damage on Machilus thunbergii Siebold & Zucc surrounded by high buildings were less than those surrounded by low buildings or at non buildings.

  • This study revealed unusual weather phenomena by comparing and analyzing monthly average temperature and amount of snowfall for the past 10 years, and, based on the weather phenomena, analyzed damage cases of concrete structures in winter. As a result, the temperature for the recent one year became greatly low compared with the monthly average for the past 10 years, and the snowfall increased by 4-5 times compared with the past, so that the frost damage of concrete structures also greatly occurred. Accordingly, in case of concrete construction, because there may occur various variables owing to abnormal weather conditions, it is required that thorough quality control should be performed even from the stage of construction plan, execution and maintenance.

남해안 시.공간적 수질환경 특성 비교 (Compared of Temporal and Spatial Sea Water Quality in the Southern Coasts of Korea)

  • Temperature, salinity, COD, DIN (Dissolved Inorganic Nitrogen), DIP (Dissolved Inorganic Phosphorus), and Chlorophyll ${\alpha}$ obtained from the southern coastal waters during the period of 2003 to 2005 were analyzed. Variability in temperature was not found between groups in southern coastal waters, but significantly different depending on sampling sites (p<0.05). The average temperature in 2003 estimated at $18.33^{\circ}C$ that was annually increased by 2005 and significantly different based on statistics (p<0.05). Unlikely to temperature, salinity was significantly different depending on sampling sites, as well as monthly variations (p<0.05). Likewise to temperature, the value of salinity was annually increased. COD estimated at the average of $>1.7\;mg\;l^{-1}$ for three years, indicating optimal water quality. The fluctuations of nutrients were extremely shown in different sampling sites and monthly variations. Chlorophyll a recorded above $2.0{\mu}g\;l^{-1}$ which was associated with high primary phytoplankton, whereas it showed much fluctuations in temporal and spatial, In particular, Tongyong, Jaranman, Jinjuman, and Samcheonpo located in the southeast were the highest fluctuations in water quality than any other regions. The correlation between salinity/COD and nutrients/chlorophyll a was strongly negative or positive, which was possibly associated with much the introduction of run-off water as well as rainfall in summer.

Comparison of the Meteorological Factors on the Forestland and Weather Station in the Middle Area of Korea

  • Climate is one of most important environmental factors on the forest ecosystem. This study was conducted to analyze the characteristics of meteorological factors in the forest area and weather stations from July 2015 to June 2016 in Cheuncheon and Hongcheon of Kangwon Province in Korea. The HOBO data logger was installed for meteorological analysis in forests area (site 1 and site 2). The meteorological data from the HOBO data logger compared with meteorological data of the weather station. The meteorological data used for the analysis was monthly mean temperature ($^{\circ}C$), monthly mean minimum temperature ($^{\circ}C$), monthly mean maximum average temperature ($^{\circ}C$), and monthly mean relative humidity (%). As a result of this study, the mean temperature ($^{\circ}C$) of forest area was relatively lower than weather station which is the outside the forest area, and the mean maximum temperature ($^{\circ}C$) of weather station was relatively higher than that of forest area. The mean relative humidity (%) was higher in forest area than weather station.

해수면온도와 우리나라 월강우량과의 관계분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of the Relationship between Sea Surface Temperature and Monthly Rainfall)

  • 수문학적 물순환과정에서 강우는 여러 기상학적 인자들과 밀접한 관련을 갖으며 발생한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대표적인 수문기상인자인 해수면온도와 한반도에 발생하는 월강우량 사이의 관계에 대하여 분석하였다. 우리나라의 61개 지점의 월평균 강우량과 위도 및 경도 자료를 이용하여 군집분석을 수행하였다. 군집 분석 결과에서 우리나라의 월강우자료를 이용하여 크게 4개의 군집으로 구분할 수 있었다. 군집별로 구분된 강우관측소의 월강우량 자료들을 주성분을 추출하였다. 추출된 주성분과 해수면온도와의 상관성 분석을 수행하였다. 상관성 분석 결과에서 양(+)의 상관관계가 음(-)의 상관관계보다 더 크게 나타났다. 또한, 상관관계가 가장 큰 지점의 해수면온도를 이용하여 3개월의 월강우량을 지역가중다항식을 통해 예측하였다. 지역가중다항식을 통한 예측 결과는 군집에 따라 정확성에 차이는 있으나, 정량적인 예측이 가능한 것으로 판단되었다. 따라서 해수면온도와 같은 수문기상인자를 통한 강우량의 예측에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요하다.

국립백두대간수목원 꼬리진달래 자생지 환경특성 및 보전방안 (A Study on the Habitat Environment Survey and Conservation of Rhododendron micranthum in National Baekdudaegan Arboretum)

  • This research was performed for the purpose of providing useful and base data and preservation strategy of growth characteristics of Rhododendron micranthum. From the result of research, wild growth area of Rhododendron micranthum was discovered near steep forest road on 695~901m in altitude above sea level of Baekdu-daegan National Arboretum. Vegetation colony structure of Site I was resulted in Pinus densiflora(tree stratum M.I.P.=45.3%) is dominants, Betula schmidtii(arborescent M.I.P.=9.8%) is second dominant, and Site III resulted in Pinus densiflora(tree stratum M.I.P.=30.5%) is dominants, Betula schmidtii(arborescent M.I.P.=10.3%) is second dominant. Site II resulted in Betula schmidtii(arborescent M.I.P.=30.4%) is dominants and Pinus densiflora tree(tree stratum M.I.P.=8.3%) is second dominants. For herbs, it was researched that the rate of one year herb of chrysanthemum family(10), rice family(3), sedge(2) was higher than near forest area. Among Species diversity index, that of Shannon was in range of 0.7348~1.1090. After comparing this with similar area, this value was relatively low. Dominance analysis result was analyzed that various groups are evenly distributed. Monthly highest average temperature is $23.9^{\circ}$ in Site A and Site B, and monthly lowest average temperature is $-4.5^{\circ}C$ in Site I and $-4.7^{\circ}C$ in Site II. Monthly maximum average humidity is 85.6% in Site I and 83.2% in Site II. Monthly minimum average humidity is 60.9% in Site I and 60.8% in Site II and it showed that these 2 area are located far away but have similar temperature and humidity characteristic and climate environment is similar. It was analyzed that humidity is high with the result of annual average humidity is over 60%. In growth characteristic, it showed that doubt damage of Stephanitis pyrioides, exposure of roots, peeled bark was discovered and supplement on this is urgent.

목포지방 초하와 초추의 기온관계 (Relation of Air Temperature at Mokpo Area between Early Summer and Early Autumn)

  • The relation of air temperature between early summer and early autumn from 1916 to 1966 was investigated. The data are brought by the statistical analysis for the purpose of the long range weather forecast. he results are summarized as follows : 1. The air temperature in early autumn at Mokpo is largely influenced by that of early summer. That is, when the air temperature in early summer is higher than the average, the temperature in early autumn has the possibility of being higher temperature in early autumn than average, the possibility being as much as $60\%$. On the contrary, when the former is lower, the latter has a possibility of becoming $74\%$ below the normal year. 2. The monthly ranges of forcastable mean air temperature in early autumn will be computed by the types of total variation in early summer and the standard deviation in early autumn.

지역별 기상조건과 급수온도에 따른 태양열 온수공급 시스템 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance of Solar Thermal System for Domestic Hot Water According to the Weather Conditions and Feedwater Temperatures at Different Locations in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of solar thermal system according to regional weather conditions and feedwater temperature. The performance analysis of the system was carried out for the annual and winter periods in terms of solar fraction, collector efficiency and it's optimal degree. The system is simulated using TRNSYS program for 6 cities, Seoul, Incheon, Gangneung, Mokpo, Gwangju, and Ulsan. Simulation results prove that the solar fraction of the system varies greatly from region to region, depending on weather conditions and feedwater temperatures. Monthly average solar fraction for winter season from November to February, a time when heat energy is most required, indicated that the highest is 73.6% in Gangnueng and the lowest is 56.9% in Seoul. This is about 30% relative difference between the two cities. On the other hand, the collector efficiency of the system for all six cities was analyzed in the range between 40% and 42%, indicating small difference compare to the solar fraction. The annual average solar fraction is rated the highest at 40 collector degree, while monthly average solar fraction during winter season is rated at 60 degree.
