초정밀 표면 형상 가공기술 개발 (Development of High Precision Machining Technology)

  • In this study, we aims to develop the machining technology for the ultra precision surface and profile accuracy. For this purpose, we construct the electrolytic in process grinding system (ELID grinding) and apply to the cylindrical and internal grinding. Through the various machining experiments such as SCM steel., ceramics, tungsten carbide etc., we have obtained nanometer surface roughness. And we have applied this mirror grinding technique to hydraulic manual valve and mold core of mini disk optical pick-up base. For the development of fine mechanical part machining technology, e have made multi fiber optical connector using fine grinding technology. And constructed micro drilling system with process monitoring system which is possible to drill 50${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ diameter hole.

작업부하 및 발열 모니터링에 의한 엔진블록 호닝스톤 연삭성 평가 (Evaluation of the Grinding Performance of an Engine Block Honing Stone through Monitoring of Workload and Heat Generation)

  • Since gasoline engines are based on a combination of a cast iron liner and an aluminum block, which have different thermal properties and stiffnesses, bore shape distortion is likely to occur during honing due to uneven thermal deformation. To solve this problem, many tests and evaluations are needed to support the development of a high-performance honing stone with low heat generation. Moreover, performance evaluation, which depends on inspection and observation after work, often requires much trial and error to optimize tool design, due to challenges in the accurate interpretation of results. This study confirmed that the assessment of grinding capability was clarified by evaluating performance under severe work conditions and by in-situ measurement and recording of current consumption (workload) and heat generation during operation. As a result of using a honing stone with excellent grinding performance in engine block manufacture-in which cylinder bore distortion caused by thermal deformation during manufacture is a problem-a noticeable improvement in the degree of cylindricity was observed.

광산란법을 이용한 연삭표면 제어 (Control of Ground Surface Using Light Scattering)

  • In surface grinding, the conditions of the grinding wheel give a significant effect on the ground workpieces comparing with other metal removal processes. In this paper, to assist the development, a non-contacting optical method is introduced to make in-process measurements of scattering intensities from laser beam during surface grinding processes. This show indications of changes in surface texture of wheel working surfaces. Also, in order to determine the dressing time monitoring method of grinding wheel in surface grinding, a three-dimensional computer simulation of the grinding operation has been attempted based on the contact mechanism and surface-shaping system between the grinding wheel and the workpiece. The optical dressing time is determined based on the amount of the grain wear and work surface roughness.

연삭가공에 있어 비가공 시간 단축에 관한 연구(I) -음향센서를 이용한 공연삭 시간의 단축- (Reducing the Non Grinding Time in Grinding Operations(1st Report) -Reducing the Air Grinding time using Sound Sensor-)

  • Air grinding time in grinding process has a great effect on its efficiency due to low feedrate. This paper presents a reduction methos of air grinding time in cylindrical plunge grinding operation. Tje reduction of air grinding time is accomplished by finding the distance between contact point and rising point of ultra- sonic signal of the grinding wheel to workpiece. It uses a variation of sound signal generated by the flow of coolant when the grinding wheel approaches to workpiece. The ultrasonic sensor with 23 kHz center fre- quency and 8 kHz bandwidth is used to find the nearest approaching point(NAP). Monitoring and control system of the grinding conditions is implemented with CNC controller to control feedrate override and ultrasonic sensor to find NAP. The experimental result shows that the ultrasonic signal is a good measure- ment to find NAP. But it needs the considerations for the effect of the relationship between flowrate of coolant and diameter of workpiece.

  • Morden industrial society pursues unmanned system and automation of manufacturing rocess. Abreast with this tendensy, prodution of goods which requires advaned accuracy is increasing as well. According to this, the work sensing time of dressing by monitoring and diagnosis the condition of grinding, which is the representative way in accurate manufacturing, is a important work to prevent serios damages which affect grinding process or products by wearing wheel. Computer vision system is composed, so that grind wheel wurface was acquired by CCD camera and the change of cutting is composed. Then we used autometic threshoding technique from histogram as a way of deviding cutting edge which is used in manufacturing from the other parts. As a result, we are trying to approach unmanned system and sutomation by deciding more accurate time of dressing and by visualizing behavior of grinding wheel by marking use of computer vision.

  • Sound has been rated negatively in many industrial areas as the noise to be removed. In the agricultural process such as rice milling based on grinding the surface of the rice, however, it may be anticipated that the sound can contain the some information on the process. In this research, on the assumption that variation of the shape of the rice kernel during milling may bring the change in frequency characteristic of sound signal, we tried to investigate the relationship between the milling degree in the grinding test mill and the resonance and anti-resonance frequencies (the frequencies at which the sound power has the extreme values).   • 최근 공정 및 계측기술이 발전함에 따라 밀링, 그라인딩, 브로칭 등 공정작업의 온라인 모니터링에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 온라인 모니터링 시스템은 공구의 마모나 파손 등과 같은 공정변화를 가급적 조기에 발견함으로써 설비를 보호하고 불필요한 비용의 발생을 억제하는 데 그 목적을 두고 있다 본 논문에서는 온라인 공정관측 데이터가 프로파일로 주어질 때 웨이블릿변환을 이용한 $T^2$-검정과 신경회로망의 모니터링 성능에 대해 고찰한다. 2006년 Axinte가 제시한 절삭력 데이터를 이용하여 수치실험을 수행한 결과, 웨이블릿기반 $T^2$는 양호한 검출력을 나타냈지만 그 검사특성은 자기상관에 매우 민감하게 반응하였다. 반면, 자기상관의 존재 하에서도 신경회로망은 $T^2$-검정에 비해 매우 안정적인 검사특성을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 웨이블릿기반 $T^2$-검정에 노이즈분석을 위한 적응적인 요소가 필요하다는 점을 시사한다

  • According to the analysis of special medical examination and work environment monitoring data, the rate of C1 and D1 on noise hazard exceeded 90% among those of total hazardous factors. The rate of company exceeding noise exposure limit was also more than 90%. The analysis result shows that main ages diagnosed with C1 and D1 was age of 50s. The majority scale company having workers diagnosed with C1 and D1 was the companies employing 5~49 workers. Types of industries which have a large number of companies exceeding noise exposure limit were automobile and trailer manufacturing, metal processing industry and primary metal manufacturing. A large number of work processes exceeding noise exposure limit were forming and processing work, cutting and bending work and grinding. To reduce the number of company exceeding noise exposure limit, the reduction counterplan should be focused on the type of industry and the work process which exceeded noise exposure limit frequently. However, the reduction counterplan is preemptively necessary to the type of industry and the work process which exceeded noise exposure limit consecutively if the purpose of reduction counterplan is not to merely reduce the number of company exceeding noise exposure limit but to abate workers' suffering from noise.

목재판넬 제조공정의 환경위험성평가 (Environmental Hazardous Assessment on Wood Panel Manufacturing Process)

  • Personal and static sampling for formaldehyde, wood dust and noise monitoring, in accordance to the equipment running on the day, were carried out throughout wood panel manufacturing process. Even though the exposure level of formaldehyde and wood dust were below than exposure criteria, but the personal protective equipment(PPE) for those should be worn to everyone in the process because of its potential characteristics like carcinogenicity. Also a few local air extraction system above the cutting, grinding sections and organic blending room should be required. Most of the exposures of noise exposure were exceeded permitted exposure criteria, in case of Hopper operators, exposed to maximally 94dB(A) as LAeq 8hr, therefore active controls like PPE, monitoring, isolation etc. are necessary. The main sources of noise were caused on compressed air of the machinery, radio sound and operation noise like running machines, conveying, cutting, sawing, moving vehicles, storing and so on. For the comparison of control criteria in each country, the permitted exposure standards for above hazardous materials and noise in Korea, ACGIH and Australia were discussed. We have recognized that the Korean criteria should be discussed urgently to give the right information to employee and modified, if it is necessary.
