The purpose of this study is to present examples for modern application with traditional color on ceremonial costume of Korean folk belief which is regarded as representative research material standing for Korean cultural archetype. The arrangements of color on the ceremonial costume of Korean folk belief were selected from 11 items specified as an import intangible cultural asset. These color arrangements were composed of fundamental colors from the viewpoint of modern color sensation, but had a excellent harmony in Hue. Therefore, not shifting Hue of color arrangement on ceremonial costume, traditional color arrangement was apply to contemporary it by shifting tone. Brilliant and deep chromatic tone that belong to 3, 4 area was converted into toned light grey, light clear, dark deep, toned dark grey, and greyish chromatic tone that belong to 1, 2 area or 5, 6, 0 area or 2, 7, 9 area. The plan that applies arrangement color with brightness contrast of traditional fundamental colors on a modern color harmony was presented from that. Like this, we can combine traditional color into modern color sensation, stylize and apply it on a production of character, logogram design, fashion design for characters in animation or game. From this, we'll be able to be close to the color arrangement sensation including our racial emotion in the everyday life.

Since the idea of registering architectural heritage from the early 20th century was introduced as part of the code in the Cultural Heritage Protection Law in July, 2001, more systematic and flexible application the code has been in great demand. It is the aim of this thesis that we preserve modern buildings and then use this research data what find our modern history. So we should find connection of modem and tradition with the overcome of the feeling of being victimized. Accordingly, based on preservation cases and finding of modern house heritage, it is the aim of this thesis that we find the way of the best use. The purpose of this research is to establish a more comprehensive and commonsensical guideline for the preservation of modern architecture satisfying both the government and the registering party, based on more thorough architectural analysis of residential edifices. The results of this study were as follows: (1) It is necessary for application and conservation by point, area and network method. (2) It is needed that periodically check and record central system for the purpose of the management of those. (3) It's consider that develop of conservation method on co-ownership with citizen by house personality.

It is important factor; understand definition and concept, grasp application method and property about transparency for expression of skin in design of retail space. This research do target; clarify the feature of transparency for expression of skin in modern retail space, and it is based in these viewpoint that analyze the feature through an experiment of image estimation(SD method) into object to modern retail space that express transparency of skin.

This is designed to find out the relations between traditional dwelling and its ecological concepts and factors in the natural environment. This also reveals how to design the dwelling under the full consideration of eco-system and its application possibility. Now, I have a conclusion that Modern architecture application would be possible if we design buildings under full-consideration of ecological environmental elements, inheriting the characteristics of the typical architecture items through more detailed and further advanced studies in traditional architecture methods.

Chinese traditional patterns, which are part of our national precious heritage, have a long history. Tiger culture plays a very important role in folk art. In modern society, it is a symbol of human spirit and morality. The tiger pattern is also a unique traditional pattern in Chinese folklore. From the Spring and Autumn period to modern society, the tiger pattern has evolved in form through thousands of years of development. It is also a representative intangible cultural heritage in contemporary times. It plays a special role in the cultural exchange of different regions, resulting in the generation of the creation of folk art with great local characteristics. Therefore, traditional tiger patterns are an important part of traditional Chinese folk culture and art. In this study, by analyzing the development and evolution history of Chinese traditional tiger patterns, the application methods of Chinese traditional tiger patterns were summarized, the rich cultural connotation, artistic characteristics and application of traditional tiger pattern in modern fashion design were discussed. In contemporary design, the new and improved tiger pattern styles were explored, intangible cultural heritage was interpreted and inherited, and the cultural and artistic values contained therein were extracted. The author combined with modern fashion design, according to people's aesthetic taste and design principles, it is recreated,so that the traditional pattern has certain characteristics of The Times.But at the same time it retains its original character,and the traditional tiger pattern was inherited and the cultural connotation of clothing design was enriched.

Subject : The application of eight extra Meridians theory to birth physiology of Korean Medicine. Objective : This study suggests physiological theories in child birth in Korean Medicine. Method : First, the application of eight extra Meridians and extraordinary organs theories to physiology, pathology, pregnancy, postnatal period of women were examined based on major publications and theories of some historical characters. This work provided clues for application of eight extra Meridians theory to birth physiology. Second, the progressing birth physiology of modern medicine based on the importance of the brain function was examined, with which the application of eight extra Meridians and extraordinary organs theories to the birth process showed close relationship. Conclusion : The following conclusions could be drawn. In traditional publications of Korean Medicine, the contents explaining birth physiology with eight extra Meridians theory were scarce, mainly due to the doctor's perception of birth as part of the natural female physiology along with menstruation and pregnancy. However, the contents explaining menstruation, pregnancy, postnatal physiology and pathology through eight extra Meridians theory could be found in classical texts such as Neijing, Jebyeong-wonhuron, Imjeunginameuian. Therefore, it is reasonable to apply the eight extra Meridians theory to the birth process as well. Modern medicine's understanding that pituitary and hypothalamus hormones are in play on womb in the birth process, such as Oxytocin, is in continuous progress. Moreover, the environmental condition that has been traditionally known ideal to the birth process in both the East and West-dark, warm, quiet and secluded-is being confirmed in modern research. The application of eight extra Meridians theory to birth physiology can help to explain these modern information, and thus make them more acceptable.

Japanism represents a Japanese sense presented in Collections by many world-class western designers who are inspired by Japanese Kimonos. This study analyzes how the traditional Japanese costumes were applied to the modern clothing and the mix and match style appeared at the Japanism fashion based on the Fashion Collections during the three years from the spring of 2006 to the winter of 2008. The analysis was performed based on preceding studies, literature, fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and the Collections during the three years. The results of this study on Japanism covers: the application of Kimono design, Kimono sleeves, Kimono neck line to coats, jackets, one-pieces, and blouses; the application of traditional geometrical patterns, flower patterns, and natural patterns. These patterns were presented by print, dyeing, and embroidery; lastly, the employment, utilization, function, and adjustment of Obi(belt) to Japanese style clothing and also to modern clothing. Japanism fashion presented sportism, feminism, and eroticism by using mix and match. This analysis can contribute to the application of the ethnic clothing to modern clothing.

This study researches the form of the Korean jacket point through relics from the Three Kingdoms period that have the traditional Korean style and grace of the Goryeo period as well as the form of the modern Korean jacket starting point. Several conclusions can be drawn from the Korean Image of the Korean jacket that can be classified into types expressed in the jacket style of modern fashion. Therefore, we will analyze traditional elements of Korean beauty through the "Korean image" on how to express it in modern fashion. The purpose of this study is to understand modern design creation and Korean culture. It is important to begin the world through the application of traditional elements to recognize Korean beauty as well as to utilize historical dress based on function and popularity to continue the effort.

Recently our country highly evaluate cultural value of modern construction. Before and after Japanese imperial period, diplomatic equipment, commerce equipment and brand-new modern construction of Japan and Western came into our country coercively. Especially, modern construction placed in center of the city, as previously stated, was a construction field of historical disgrace. So it leaves alone or transforms to high technology because of well located. Selctive reception of the past makes difficult to know about rightful modem, furthermore it is difficult to expect rightful future. Accordingly, I write this. paper for the purpose of presenting the space application blueprint of 'Jung Myung Jeon' of modern construction designated as the cultural properties in Seoul. According to the project, 'Jung Myung Jeon' will do a role as the keyword which is important connects a past and a present time it presents. Then modern construction 'Jung Myung Jeon' which has a culture value will develop continuous with the city.
