  • ZSphere of ZBrush can be added to the screen, and most of all, added to the existing ZSphere as mobile geometrical objects. For example, legs can be produced out of the globoid in the progress of an intermediate step. characters with multiple limbs can be produced easily in this way. With Zsphere, several Child Spheres can be produced out of single Sphere, then these can be parents spheres, and can connect other Child Spheres. In this paper, by making each form through these processes, 3D characters were modeled to shape easily and rapidly. Since 3D objects can be added, rotated, and moved, they can interact smoothly with Z-depth of campus. To place these objects on the screen, paint, build fixed perspective image, smerge pixols and transform 3D objects, diverse transforming tools and sculpturing tools were used. The characters were designed in the way that first, the finished 3D characters were transformed into poly, then each side was restructured rapidly with Topology.

  • Recently, the requirements of the embedded software are getting diverse as the diversity of embedded software application fields increases. The systematic development methods are issued to deal with the dependency between hardware and software. However, the existing development methods have not considered the software's close connection to hardware and the high-level reusability for common requirements of several similar domains. In this paper, we propose a design method of development process model of product lines to support an efficient development method for embedded software. For this, we firstly suggest a domain scoping method and an IDEF0(Integration DEFinition)-based business model for extracting the efficient requirements. Next, we present a component deriving method based on the service architecture and an architecture design method after considering the hardware dependency. And we explain the artifacts of MSDFS(Multi Sensor Data Fusion System) at each design step in order to show how the proposed model can be applied to the embedded software development.

  • In this paper, we present a simplified model for complicance determination of the moving-actuator type totally implantable artificial heart (TAH). The modeling equations are derived from the mechanics and geometry of the TAH components. The interventricular pressure and volume are computed for determining the compliance of the interventricular space using this model. The model is capable of generating realistic hemodynamic variables such as the left atrial pressure and interventricular pressure and is proved to be acceptable. This model can be used as an initial step for analyzing characteristics of the moving-actuator type TAH.

  • This paper presents a procedure for designing command to maneuver flexible structure with very little residual vibration, even in the presence of modeling errors. For the open loop maneuver, the various shaped profiles using multiple step inputs delayed in time are considered for robustness and compared with the responses of rigid body and flexible body in virtue of simulations and experiments. Input shaping generates vibration-reducing shaped commands through convolution of an impulse sequence with the desired command. A flexible model with a cylindrical hub and four symmetric appendages is considered to examine the responses to real plant, and to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed shapers. The appendages are long and flexible, leading to low frequency vibration under any control action. It is shown by a series of simulation that a properly designed feedback controller with input shaper performs well, as compared with open loop controller with input shaper. The control objective is to achieve a fast settling time of residual vibration to flexible structure and robustness (insensitivity)to plant uncertainty, to eliminate residual vibration.

  • ebXML(Electronic Business using extensible Markup Language) is an XML based new international standard framework of the electronic business. Interoperability among mutually different industry fields can be realized by reusing core component, as a infrastructure of data. For this interoperability, it is needed to define the concrete concept of core component, through analyzing the role and applicability of the core component in business process which defines the interoperability among different companies. Therefore, in this paper, we Inquire the role of the core component in the ebXML, and implement the core component storage system which generates core component to register in registry/repository. The designed system for storing the core component generates suitable core component structure to register in registry/repositor), which can be used to generate new business information entity in a modeling step of business process.

  • In the present study, an enhanced subsurface prediction algorithm based on a non-parametric geostatistical model and a history matching technique through Gibbs sampler is developed and the iterative prediction improvement procedure is proposed. The developed model is applied to a simple two-dimensional synthetic case where domain is composed of three different hydrogeologic media with $500m{\times}40m$ scale. In the application, it is assumed that there are 4 independent pumping tests performed at different vertical interval and the history curves are acquired through numerical modeling. With two hypothetical borehole information and pumping test data, the proposed prediction model is applied iteratively and continuous improvements of the predictions with reduced uncertainties of the media distribution are observed. From the results and the qualitative/quantitative analysis, it is concluded that the proposed model is good for the subsurface prediction improvements where the history data is available as a supportive information. Once the proposed model be a matured technique, it is believed that the model can be applied to many groundwater, geothermal, gas and oil problems with conventional fluid flow simulators. However, the overall development is still in its preliminary step and further considerations needs to be incorporated to be a viable and practical prediction technique including multi-dimensional verifications, global optimization, etc. which have not been resolved in the present study.

  • A few years ago, for maintaining high stability and production yield of production equipment in a semiconductor fab, on-line monitoring of wafers is required, so that semiconductor manufacturers are investigating a software based process controlling scheme known as virtual metrology (VM). As semiconductor technology develops, the cost of fabrication tool/facility has reached its budget limit, and reducing metrology cost can obviously help to keep semiconductor manufacturing cost. By virtue of prediction, VM enables wafer-level control (or even down to site level), reduces within-lot variability, and increases process capability, $C_{pk}$. In this research, we have practiced VM on $SiO_2$ etch rate with optical emission spectroscopy(OES) data acquired in-situ while the process parameters are simultaneously correlated. To build process model of $SiO_2$ via, we first performed a series of etch runs according to the statistically designed experiment, called design of experiments (DOE). OES data are automatically logged with etch rate, and some OES spectra that correlated with $SiO_2$ etch rate is selected. Once the feature of OES data is selected, the preprocessed OES spectra is then used for in-situ sensor based VM modeling. ICP-RIE using 葰.56MHz, manufactured by Plasmart, Ltd. is employed in this experiment, and single fiber-optic attached for in-situ OES data acquisition. Before applying statistical feature selection, empirical feature selection of OES data is initially performed in order not to fall in a statistical misleading, which causes from random noise or large variation of insignificantly correlated responses with process itself. The accuracy of the proposed VM is still need to be developed in order to successfully replace the existing metrology, but it is no doubt that VM can support engineering decision of "go or not go" in the consecutive processing step.

  • This paper presents the design and dynamic model of the finger exoskeleton actuated by Ionic Polymer Metal Composites (IPMC) to assist a tip pinch task. Although this exoskeleton will be developed to assist 3 degree-of-freedom motion of each finger, it has been currently made to perform the tip pinch task using 1 degree-of-freedom mechanism as the first step. The six layers of IPMC were stacked in parallel to increase the low actuation force of IPMC. In addition, the finger dummy was manufactured to evaluate the performance of the finger exoskeleton. The pinch task experiments, which were performed on the finger dummy with the developed exoskeleton, showed that the pinch force close to the desired level was obtained. Moreover, the dynamic model of the exoskeleton and finger dummy was developed in order to perform the various analyses for the improvement of the exoskeleton.
