  • Design VE (Value Engineering) has been basic design and implementation design separately, but due to the recent change in guidelines, it is changing to implement only once in the implementation design stage. However, in the implementation design stage, construction costs, plans, and specifications based on the volume details are almost completed. Therefore, it is effective to perform the function analysis step after identifying information analysis and key issues through CostModeling based on functional center for the selected target in the process of implementing the VE performance procedure.

Analyzing User Feedback on a Fan Community Platform 'Weverse': A Text Mining Approach

  • This study applies topic modeling to uncover user experience and app issues expressed in users' online reviews of a fan community platform, Weverse on Google Play Store. It allows us to identify the features which need to be improved to enhance user experience or need to be maintained and leveraged to attract more users. Therefore, we collect 88,068 first-level English online reviews of Weverse on Google Play Store with Google-Play-Scraper tool. After the initial preprocessing step, a dataset of 31,861 online reviews is analyzed using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling with Gensim library in Python. There are 5 topics explored in this study which highlight significant issues such as network connection error, delayed notification, and incorrect translation. Besides, the result revealed the app's effectiveness in fostering not only interaction between fans and artists but also fans' mutual relationships. Consequently, the business can strengthen user engagement and loyalty by addressing the identified drawbacks and leveraging the platform for user communication.

환율 변동성 측정과 GARCH모형의 적용 : 실용정보처리접근법 (Exchange Rate Volatility Measures and GARCH Model Applications : Practical Information Processing Approach)

  • This paper reviews the categories and properties of risk measures, analyzes the classes and structural equations of volatility forecasting models, and presents the practical methodologies and their expansion methods of estimating and forecasting the volatilities of exchange rates using Excel spreadsheet modeling. We apply the GARCH(1,1) model to the Korean won(KRW) denominated daily and monthly exchange rates of USD, JPY, EUR, GBP, CAD and CNY during the periods from January 4, 1998 to December 31, 2009, make the estimates of long-run variances in the returns of exchange rate calculated as the step-by-step change rate, and test the adequacy of estimated GARCH(1,1) model using the Box-Pierce-Ljung statistics Q and chi-square test-statistics. We demonstrate the adequacy of GARCH(1,1) model in estimating and forecasting the volatility of exchange rates in the monthly series except the semi-variance GARCH(1,1) applied to KRW/JPY100 rate. But we reject the adequacy of GARCH(1,1) model in estimating and forecasting the volatility of exchange rates in the daily series because of the very high Box-Pierce-Ljung statistics in the respective time lags resulting to the self-autocorrelation. In conclusion, the GARCH(1,1) model provides for the easy and helpful tools to forecast the exchange rate volatilities and may become the powerful methodology to overcome the application difficulties with the spreadsheet modeling.

  • SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language)은 각종 멀티미디어 데이터들 간의 동기화를 지원해 주며 데이터 요소들의 화면 구성을 편리하게 해줌으로써 인터넷 환경의 가상강의, 방송 등에서 널리 활용되고 있다. 응용분야가 다양하게 확대됨에 따라 각각의 환경에 융통성 있게 적용할 수 있는 체계의 필요성이 증대되고 있는 추세이며 이에 따라 SMIL 기능도 계속적으로 진화되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SMIL의 주요 기능을 객체 지향적 방법론에 따라 분석, 모델링 한 후 서비스 컴비네이터 (service combinator) 개념의 클래스 모델을 제안하여 설계함으로써 필요시 사용자들이 자기 환경에 맞게 튜닝 할 수 있도록 하였다.

Modeling and assessment of VWNN for signal processing of structural systems

  • This study aimed to develop a model to accurately predict the acceleration of structural systems during an earthquake. The acceleration and applied force of a structure were measured at current time step and the velocity and displacement were estimated through linear integration. These data were used as input to predict the structural acceleration at next time step. The computation tool used was the Volterra/Wiener neural network (VWNN) which contained the mathematical model to predict the acceleration. For alleviating problems of relatively large-dimensional and nonlinear systems, the VWNN model was utilized as the signal processing tool, including the Taylor series components in the input nodes of the neural network. The number of the intermediate layer nodes in the neural network model, containing the training and simulation stage, was evaluated and optimized. Discussions on the influences of the gradient descent with adaptive learning rate algorithm and the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, both for determining the network weights, on prediction errors were provided. During the simulation stage, different earthquake excitations were tested with the optimized settings acquired from the training stage to find out which of the algorithms would result in the smallest error, to determine a proper simulation model.

  • 2020년을 목표로 한 국내 중기 온실가스 감축목표가 2009년에 발표된 이후 다양한 온실가스 방안들이 제시되고 있다. 장기적인 온실가스 감축 정책들을 체계적으로 평가하기 위해 대부분의 국가에서는 상향식 모형 또는 하향식 모형이 이용이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 상향식 모형의 일반적인 현황 및 적용방안에 대해서 알아보고, 또한 가장 많이 사용되는 LP를 이용한 상향식 모형에 대한 이론적 고찰을 수행하였다. 특히 새롭게 제시된 단순화된 LP 정식화를 제시하기 위해, 의사결정변수 분석, 목적함수에 대한 분석, 기본적인 제약식인 흐름보존제약 및 용량제약에 대한 보다 간결한 정식화를 제시하고 있으며, 다양한 시나리오나 정책의 효과를 LP에 포함시킬 수 있도록 선형제약식을 만드는 방법도 제시하고 있다.

  • Cloud computing is an emerging technology based on the concept of enabling data access from anywhere, at any time, from any platform. The exponential growth of cloud users has resulted in the emergence of multiple issues, such as the workload imbalance between the virtual machines (VMs) of data centers in a cloud environment greatly impacting its overall performance. Our axis of research is the load balancing of a data center's VMs. It aims at reducing the degree of a load's imbalance between those VMs so that a better resource utilization will be provided, thus ensuring a greater quality of service. Our article focuses on two phases to balance the workload between the VMs. The first step will be the determination of the threshold of each VM before it can be considered overloaded. The second step will be a task allocation to the VMs by relying on an improved and faster version of the meta-heuristic "simulated annealing (SA)". We mainly focused on the acceptance probability of the SA, as, by modifying the content of the acceptance probability, we could ensure that the SA was able to offer a smart task distribution between the VMs in fewer loops than a classical usage of the SA.

  • In this study, using X-ray cargo container scanning device and to differentiate the concept of three-dimensional information extraction applied for X-ray scanning device as an ingredient in the rotation of the X-Ray Linear Pushbroom Stereo System by introducing the geometric How to model was introduced. Three-dimensional information obtained through the matching of a single voxel space filled with a random vector operations for each voxel in the three dimensional shape reconstruction algorithm using the definition, and in time, the time required for each step were analyzed. Using OpenCV in each step by applying parallelization techniques approximately 1.8 times improvement in the processing time of the check, but do not meet the target within one minute levels. The other hand, X-ray images by the primary process to convert the point View the results of real-time stereo through a three-dimensional could feel the comfort level.

  • 본 논문은 주요 부위에 대한 정적음력 시뮬레이션을 통해 PFA 라이닝 플러그밸브 본체의 설계자를 지원하는 것을 주된 목표로 한다. CAD 작업을 통해 생성된 형상 모델을 스텝(step)파일로 변환하여 해석작업에 사용한다. 전문적인 해석경험이 없는 밸브 생산업체의 설계자가 형상 모델에 대한 인장, 굽힘, 비틀림 모멘트 등을 계산하는 과정을 이해함으로써 구조적 취약점을 사전에 파악하고, 제품에 반영하여 제품 신뢰도 및 설계효율 증대에 기여할 수 있는 기본적인 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

  • 제품정보의 모델링은 엔지니어링 환경에서, 특히 통합하된 생산시스템의 핵심인 CAD/CAM 시스템의 개발을 위해 매우 중요한 과제가 되어가고 있다. 모델이란 실세계의 개념과 현상에 대한 정형적인 표현의 결과이며, 모델링이란 제품의 관련한 정보를 식별하고 추상화 하여 정형화 하는 작업이다. 본 연구에서는 선박의장시스템의 대표적인 배관시스템을 모델링하였다. 배관시스템 정보의 전주기 정보를 표현하기 위한 메카니즘은 STEP(Standard for the Exchange of Product Model Date)의 개념을 기초로 하였고, 시스템의 분석, 설계 및 구현을 위한 수단으로는 객체지향기술을 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 정의된 배관시스템 모델을 향후 제품모델개념의 배관 CAD/CAM 시스템 구현의 기초가 될 것이다.
