대화형 캐릭터 애니메이션 생성과 데이터 관리 도구 (An Interactive Character Animation and Data Management Tool)

  • In this paper, we present an interactive 3D character modeling and animation including a data management tool for editing the animation. It includes an animation editor for changing animation sequences according to the modified structure of 3D object in the object structure editor. The animation tool has the feature that it can produce motion data independently of any modeling tool including our modeling tool. Differently from conventional 3D graphics tools that model objects based on geometrically calculated data, our tool models 3D geometric and animation data by approximating to the real object using 2D image interactively. There are some applications that do not need precise representation, but an easier way to obtain an approximated model looking similar to the real object. Our tool is appropriate for such applications. This paper has focused on the data management for enhancing the automatin and convenience when editing a motion or when mapping a motion to the other character.

  • This paper presents the optimized approximation of finite element modeling for a complex tool holder spindle using both DOE (Design of Experiment) with Optimal Latin Hypercube (OLH) method and approximation modeling method with Radial Basis Function (RBF) neural network structure. The complex tool holder is used for holding a (milling/drilling) tool of a machine tool. The engineering problem of complex tool holder results from the twisting of spindle of tool holder.   • ATC on-board equipment require realtime embedded software with high level of safety and reliability. To satisfy these requirements, many techniques are applied to the development of software during the lifecycle. In case of software modeling, object-oriented methodology is widening its niche replacing traditional structured methodology and modeling in UML using a CASE tool is a growing trend. In this paper, we modeled ATC on-board software in UML using Rhapsody, which is a modeling tool for realtime embedded software. We modeled the behavior of ATC on-board equipment based on state machine diagram and validated the model using the animation feature provided in the tool. According to our study, the CASE tool based on UML showed high level of applicability in modeling and verifying the software with complex behavioral characteristics.

  • 본 논문은 Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) Tool을 이용할 경우의 Safety Critical 소프트웨어 개발 방법론인 구조적 분석 및 구조적 설계 모델링 방법론을 Teamwork CASE tool의 예를 중심으로 제안하고자 한다. 제시된 사례는 NSIS(Nuclear Safety Information System)으로서 Essential Modeling과 Implementation Modeling을 제시하였는데 Teamwork CASE 환경하에서의 분석 및 설계 절차, 지침 등을 제시하였다. Essential Modeling에서는 NSIS의 MMIS 분석범위 및 External Interface를 제시하는 환경 모델(Environmental Model)과 MMIS의 기능을 계층구조적으로 분할하는 행위모델링(Behaviroal Modeling)을 각각 Context Diagram과 Data Flow Diagram (DFD)으로 그 과정을 제시하였다. Implementation Modeling에서는 Essential Modeling으로 부터 나온 결과물을 토대로 Boss Rule, Transform Rule과 Transaction Rule 등을 거쳐 NSIS MMIS의 설계 근간이 되는 Structured Chart(SC)를 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제시된 모델링 방법론을 통하여 Safety Critical 소프트웨어 개발시 Teamwork CASE Tool을 활용할 수 있음과 동시에 분실 및 설계의 일치성을 통하여 Safety Critical 소프트웨어의 안전성 확립과 품질보증 목표에 기여할 수 있다.

UML/XML 기반의 비즈니스 프로세스 정의 도구 (An UML/XML-Based Business Process Definition Tool)

  • Proposed in this paper is a standard-compliant business process modeling tool which is based on the UML(Unified Modeling Language) activity diagram and produces an XPDL(XML Process Definition Language) file as an output. The XPDL is a standard process definition exchange format by WfMC (Workflow Management Coalition). To develop an UML/XPDL-based modeling tool, the mapping of modeling elements between activity diagram and XPDL format is conducted after the detailed analysis of each modeling specification. As a result of this mapping, it is revealed that modeling elements of each activity diagram and XPDL must be expanded. So new modeling elements are identified and added to each specification. Based on this mapping, the prototype system is developed, and the usefulness of the developed system is shown through the case study.

  • Recent times have seen the introduction of modeling technologies using implicit surface and marching cubes algorithm in the field of computer graphics. Implicit surface modeling is used to express characters or fluid. This study presents a calculation method for the density of curve skeletal primitives using parametric curve and implements an implicit surface modeling tool by utilizing Maya API. Skeletal primitives can be assembled and utilized in character modeling using the implemented modeling tool. Results could be obtained more effectively compared to existing particle-based methods.

  • This paper proposes an analytical method of evaluating the maximum error by modeling the exact tool path for the tool traverse singular region in five-axis machining. It is known that the NC data from the inverse kinematics transformation of 5-axis machining can generate singular positions where incoherent movements of the rotary axes can appear. These lead to unexpected errors and abrupt operations, resulting in scoring on the machined surface. To resolve this problem, previous methods have calculated several tool positions during a singular operation, using inverse kinematics equations to predict tool trajectory and approximate the maximum error. This type of numerical approach, configuring the tool trajectory, requires much computation time to obtain a sufficient number of tool positions in a region. We have derived an analytical equation for the tool trajectory in a singular area by modeling the tool operation into a linear and a nonlinear part that is a general form of the tool trajectory in the singular area and that is suitable for all types of five-axis machine tools. In addition, we have evaluated the maximum tool-path error exactly, using our analytical model. Our algorithm can be used to modify NC data, making the operation smoother and bringing any errors to within tolerance.

  • 본 논문은 비즈니스 프로세스와 업무 로직을 분리하여 비즈니스 프로세스를 손쉽게 모델링하고 이를 바탕으로 협업을 가능하게 하는 B2Bi 협업 워크플로우 모델링 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 협업 워크플로우 모델링 시스템은 비즈니스 프로세스 모델링 도구, 실행 엔진, 모니터링 도구 3개의 컴포넌트로 구성되어있다. 첫째, 비즈니스 프로세스 모델링 도구는 애플리케이션의 비즈니스 로직을 신속, 정확하게 반영하는 프로세스 맵을 구축하는데 사용된다. 둘째, 실행 엔진은 비즈니스 프로세스 인스턴스를 위한 실시간 실행 환경을 제공한다. 셋째, 모니터링 도구는 현재 진행되고 있는 비즈니스 프로세스에 대한 실시간 모니터링 기능을 제공한다. 또한 기존 시스템인 레거시 시스템과의 연동을 위해 XML 및 J2EE 기반으로 유연성, 확장성을 지원할 수 있도록 하였으며 새로운 기업 전략과 운용에 필요한 해결책을 제시한다.
