A Knowledge-based Model for Semantic Oriented Contextual Advertising

  • Proper and precise embedding of commercial ads within Webpages requires Ad-hoc analysis and understanding of their content. By the successful implementation of this step, both publishers and advertisers gain mutual benefits through increasing their revenues on the one hand, and improving user experience on the other. In this research work, we propose a novel multi-level context-based ads serving approach through which ads will be served at generic publisher websites based on their contextual relevance. In the proposed approach, knowledge encoded in domain-specific and generic semantic repositories is exploited in order to analyze and segment Webpages into sets of contextually-relevant segments. Semantically-enhanced indexes are also constructed to index ads based on their textual descriptions provided by advertisers. A modified cosine similarity matching algorithm is employed to embed each ad from the Ads repository into one or more contextually-relevant segments. In order to validate our proposal, we have implemented a prototype of an ad serving system with two datasets that consist of (11429 ads and 93 documents) and (11000 documents and 15 ads), respectively. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques, we experimentally tested the proposed method and compared the produced results against five baseline metrics that can be used in the context of ad serving systems. In addition, we compared the results produced by our system with other state-of-the-art models. Findings demonstrate that the accuracy of conventional ad matching techniques has improved by exploiting the proposed semantically-enhanced context-based ad serving model.

  • Determination of the space requirements for a restaurant is a difficult task. Because the space required is dependent upon many factors which are not constant for all types of restaurants. Today, the guides and procedures that be given are to be regarded as tentative and subject to easy change. This study tired to present the efficient methods and procedures of the space planning of restaurant. Thus, this study is on the purpose of nexts. First, finding the variables involved in the development of the model. Second, describing the approach method of modeling the facility. Third, depicting the methods and procedures of estimating the sizing of serving facilities. Fourth, developing the alternatives of sizing the space required for the facility. As illustrated, this study used the results of the model estimates and emphasized the importance of accurately evaluating the following factors. First, total number of persons to be fe. Second, meal period. Third, number of persons I the dining room. Fourth, number of persons in the serving area. Fifth, vacancy ratio.

Joint Transmission 기반의 LTE-Advanced 시스템에 대한 호 수락 제어의 성능 분석 (Analysis of Call Admission Control for Joint Transmission-Based LTE-Advanced Systems)

  • Coordinated multi-point transmission (CoMP) is considered to be a promising technique to improve the throughput for LTE-Advanced systems. One important approach for CoMP is Joint Transmission (JT). However, the analytical model of JT has not been fully studied, as user equipments (UEs) receiving the desired signals from an adjacent base station (BS) as well as serving BS, or only serving BS were not distinguished. We derive a new analytical model to describe the call admission control in JT based systems. The performance measures of interest are the call blocking probability, and resource utilization. Furthermore, we compare the performance of JT-based systems and non-JT- based systems. The analytical results are in reasonable agreement with the simulation results.

컨조인트 분석을 이용한 학교아침급식 운영 속성 및 수준의 중요도 분석 (Assessing Relative Importance of Operational Factors for School Breakfast Program using Conjoint Analysis)

  • The purposes of this study were as follows. First is to compare the importance of operational factors to determine types of school breakfast program, and second is to do the preference analysis of operation-related people depending on the attributes and levels of the operation of school breakfast program. The questionnaires developed for this study were distributed to 134 school dietitians, 114 school foodservice officials at the educational board, 68 staff members of foodservice contractors and 493 parents. Statistical data analyses were performed using SPSS/WIN 12.0 for descriptive statistics and conjoint analysis. The conjoint design was applied to evaluate the hypothetical foodservice types. According to the analysis on the attributes and levels of the school breakfast operation, the relative importance of each attribute was as followsprice (36.30%), menu (29.60%), foodservice staff (22.54%), serving type (11.55%) to school dietitians, price (34.99%), menu (28.15%), foodservice staff (23.52%), serving type (13.35%) to school foodservice officials at the educational board, menu (30.55%), price (30.24%), foodservice staff (28.75%), serving type (10.47%) to staff members of foodservice contractors and price (36.34%), menu (29.73%), foodservice staff (21.01%), serving type (12.92%) to parents. The results of the conjoint analysis indicated that the school dietitians and school foodservice officials at the educational board preferred the school breakfast operation program with 3 traditional menus and 2 convenience menus per 5 day, $1{\sim}3$ foodservice staff, with a price range of $1501{\sim}2000won$, and tray serving. Staff members of foodservice contractors preferred the school breakfast operation program with 3 traditional menus and 2 convenience menus per 5 day, $1{\sim}3$ foodservice staff, with a price range of $2501{\sim}3000won$, and tray serving. Parents preferred the school breakfast operation with 5 traditional menus per 5 day, $6{\sim}7$ foodservice staff, with a price range of $2501{\sim}3000won$, and tray serving. About a half of school dietitians considered that elementary schools were appropriate for the suggested school breakfast operation program. But, 68.2% of school foodservice officials at the educational board, 69.1% of staff members of foodservice contractors, and 38.1% of parents considered high schools to be the suitable model. Therefore, it indicated the need to recognize the different opinions among breakfast operation-related people and take these factors into consideration in developing the school breakfast program.

  • 본 논문은 웹의 발달로 인하여 의료 서비스들이 기존의 Client-Server 방식의 제품에서 Web 방식의 제품으로 변경되고 있는 현대 흐름에서 인공지능 어플리케이션 또한 Web 으로 서비스 하기 위한 방법과 구현된 요로결석 AI 어플리케이션에 대해 기술한다. 이를 구현하기 위해 Python 기반의 Flask 라는 마이크로 웹 프레임워크를 사용하여 DICOM 핸들링, Pre-Processing, Mask 를 생성하고 Predict 결과를 Model Serving 을 통하여 Urinary Stone Segmentation Model 이 서비스되는 인공지능 웹 어플리케이션 동작 방식과 수행 결과를 보인다.

  • 의료분야 인공지능 기술이 분석과 알고리즘 개발에 중점을 두었으나 점차 제품으로 서비스하기 위한 Web 애플리케이션 개발로 변화되고 있다. 본 연구는 복부 CT 영상에서 요로결석(Urinary Stone) 분할모델과 이를 기반으로 한 인공지능 웹 애플리케이션에 대해 기술한다. 이를 구현하기 위해 의료영상 분야에서 이미지 분할을 목적으로 제안된 End-to-End 방식의 Fully-Convolutional Network 기반 모델인 U-Net을 사용하여 모델을 개발하였다. 그리고 Python 기반의 Flask라는 마이크로 웹 프레임워크를 사용하여 AWS 클라우드 기반 웹 애플리케이션으로 개발하였다. 끝으로 모델 서빙으로 요로결석 분할모델이 예측한 결과를 인공지능 웹 애플리케이션 서비스 수행 결과로 보인다. 제안한 AI 웹 애플리케이션 서비스가 선별 검사에 활용되기를 기대한다.

하향평가와 상향평가 결과에 영향을 미치는 특성 분석 (Analysis of characteristics affecting the score-groups by supervisor and subordinate rating)

  • This study was designed to compare the differences m results of supervisor and subordinate rating. Data was collected from personnel evaluation and subordinate rating results for middle managers(n=68) in hospital from 3rd January to 20th March in 2004. Supervisor rating consisted of performance, ability and attitude evaluation. Subordinate rating consisted of leadership, ability and attitude evaluation. Collected data included sociodemographic characteristics, work department, work level, years of work, years at present level and whether working in a patient serving department. The difference of standardized supervisor and subordinate rating score was used to define groups as 'higher in supervisor rating group'. Groups were defined in total score, ability score and attitude score. Main results were as follows: 1. In total score, sectional chiefs were apt to be 'higher in subordinate rating group' while chief clerks were apt to be 'similar group' or 'higher in supervisor rating group'. Staffs in patient serving department were likely to be 'higher in supervisor rating group' and staffs in non-patient serving department were likely to be 'higher in subordinate rating group'. All these results were statistically significant. 2. In ability score, there were no statistically significant differences in age, sex, years of education, work department, work level, years of work and whether working in a patient serving department among 'higher in supervisor rating group', 'similar group' and 'higher in subordinate rating group'. 3. In attitude score, staffs in the department of medical affairs and the department of administration were apt to be 'higher in subordinate rating group'. Staffs in the department of nursing were apt to be 'higher in supervisor rating group'. Staffs in a patient serving department were likely to be 'higher in supervisor rating group' and staffs in a non-patient serving department were likely to be 'higher in subordinate rating group'. All these results were statistically significant. 4. Logistic analysis about total score showed that sectional chiefs had higher Odds Ratio(OR) to be in 'higher in subordinate rating group'. Staffs in a non-patient serving department had higher OR to be in 'higher in subordinate rating group'. Both these results were statistically significant. 5. Logistic analysis about ability score showed that sectional chiefs had higher OR to be in 'higher in subordinate rating group'. Staffs in a non-patient serving department had higher OR to be in 'higher in subordinate rating group'. These results were not statistically significant. 6. Logistic analysis about total score showed that sectional chiefs had higher OR to be in 'higher in subordinate rating group', but the difference was not statistically significant. Staffs in a non-patient serving department had significantly higher OR to be in 'higher in subordinate rating group'. In conclusion, there is no clear superiority between supervisor and subordinate rating in personnel evaluation. It would be better to use a mixed model. It's also suggested to use an intervening rate of application or scores considering work levels and work department in personnel evaluation. These results would be helpful for hospitals planning a supervisor and subordinate rating system for personnel evaluation.

저층트롤의 발줄 및 저질의 종류에 따른 저항특성 (Drag Characteristics According to Ground Rope and Seabeds in the Bottom Trawl)

  • 본 연구에서는 동해구트롤선(750ps)을 대상으로 현용어구에 대한 모형망을 제작하여 발줄과 저질의 종류에 따른 어구의 저항특성을 구하고자하여, 수중무게 5.4g인 체인형, 와이어형, 기본형의 발줄 3종류의 발줄에 대하여 실제 예망속도인 2.0~2.5knots의 범위에 해당되는 실험예망속도 0.4m/s일 때의 저항을 실험.분석하였으며, 나아가 체인형 발줄에 대해서는 발줄무게에 따른 저항의 변화를, 와이어형 발줄에 대해서는 발줄의 굵기에 따른 저항의 변화를 실험 .분석하였다. 한편, 예망속도에 따른 발줄의 종류별 저항특성을 구하고자 수중무게가 5.4g인 체인형, 와이어형, 기본형의 3종류의 발줄에 대하여 예망속도를 0.1m/s 0.2m/s 0.3m/s 0.4m/s 변화시키면서 저항을 측정하고, 어구에 대한 발줄 저항비 및 저항계수를 각각 구하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 어구저항은 저질이 모래와 펄 모두에서 체인형이 가장 크고, 기본형, 와이어형 순으로 작게 나타났다. 2. 저질의 종류에 따른 저항은 모래에서는 체인형이 가장 크고, 와이어형, 기본형 발줄의 순으로 작았으며, 필에서는 체인형이 가장 크고, 기본형, 와이어형순으로 작게 나타났다. 3. 발줄의 무게에 따른 저항은 거의 직선형으로 증가하고 있으며 저질이 펄인 경우, 체인형 발줄의 무게가 5.4g 10g 20g 일 때 저항은 각각 36g 45g 65g으로 줄의 무게가 20g일 때가 10g일 때 보다 약 44% 더 컸으며, 모래의 경우에는 각각 38g 51g 74g으로 발줄의 무게가 20g일 때가 109일 때보다 약 45%로 컸다. 4.발줄의 굵기에 따른 저항은 예망 속도가 0.4m/s에서 와이어형의 굵기가 ø 65mm 기준으로 2, 3, 4, 5배로 증가함에 따라 저항은 23g, 25g, 32g, 42g으로 각각 증가하였다. 5. 예망속도의 증가에 따른 발줄의 종류별 저항은 직선에 가까운 지수 함수적으로 증가하였고, 저질이 펄인 경우, 체인형이 가장 크며 다음으로 기본형, 와이어형 순으로 작게 나타났다. 6. 어구저항에 대한 발줄 저항의 비는 필에서 체 인형이 가장 크고, 기본형, 와이어형 순으로 나타났으며, 모래에서는 체인형이 가장 높았고, 와이어형, 기본형의 순으로 작게 나타났다. 7. 저항계수는 펄에서는 체인형 발줄이 약 10.0~55.7, 와이어형은 약 3.0~l6.0, 기본형은 약 1.5~8.5이며, 모래에서는 체인형 발줄이 약 10.0~60.0, 와이어형은 약 3.0~l4.0, 기본형은 약 1.2~6.0이었다. 그리고, 전체적으로 절과 모래 모두에서 저항계수가 체인형이 다른 두 종류의 발줄에 비해 상대적으로 가장 크고, 와이어형, 기본형의 순으로 작게 나타났다.

다제품 저장창고의 재고관리를 위한 적응 모형예측 제어기 (Warehouse Inventory Control System Using Periodic Square Wave Model)

  • An inventory control system was developed for a distribution system consisting of a single multiproduct warehouse serving a set of customers and purchasing products from multiple vendors. Purchase orders requesting multiple products are delivered to the warehouse in a process. The receipt of customer orders by the warehouse proceeded in order intervals and in order quantities that are subject to random fluctuations. The objective of warehouse operation is to minimize the total cost while maintaining inventory levels within the warehouse capacity by adjusting the purchase order intervals and quantities. An adaptive model predictive control algorithm was developed using a periodic square wave model to represent the material flows. The adaptive concept incorporated a stabilized minimum variance control-type input calculation coupled with input/output stream parameter predictions. The effectiveness of the scheme was demonstrated using simulations.

  • 제 3세대 이동 통신망인 GPRS(General Packet Radio Service)망에서는 SGSN(Serving GPRS Support Node)과 GGSN(Gateway GPRS Support Node) 사이의 전송계층을 IP-Over-ATM 망을 기반으로 한다. 이는 비연결형(connectionless) IP 트래픽들을 연결지향형(connection-oriented) ATM 전송계층을 통해 전송하는 것을 의미한다. 이때 효율적인 자원관리를 위해 적절한 VC(Virtual Circuit)의 접속과 해제를 수행해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 GPRS망에 인터넷 웹 서비스 트래픽 모델을 다양한 VC holding Cost Pricing Model(LRU, Mean-Variance, Adaptive policy[2])에 적용하였다. 각각의 기법들에서 VC의 이용율(utilization)과 설정율(setup rate)을 분석함으로써 각 기법의 성능을 비교하였다.
