  • For linear projects, it has long been known that resource utilization is important in improving work efficiency. However, most existing scheduling techniques cannot satisfy the need for solving such issues. This paper presents an optimization model for solving linear scheduling problems involving resource assignment tasks. The proposed model adopts constraint programming (CP) as the searching algorithm for model formulation, and the proposed model is designed to optimize project total cost. Additionally, the concept of outsourcing resources is introduced here to improve project performance.

  • This paper introduces an effectively optimized Fuzzy model identification by means of complex and nonlinear system applying PSO algorithm. In other words, we use PSO(Particle Swarm Optimization) for identification of Fuzzy model structure and parameter. PSO is an algorithm that follows a collaborative population-based search model. Each particle of swarm flies around in a multidimensional search space looking for the optimal solution. Then, Particles adjust their position according to their own and their neighboring-particles experience. This paper identifies the premise part parameters and the consequence structures that have many effects on Fuzzy system based on PSO. In the premise parts of the rules, we use triangular. Finally we evaluate the Fuzzy model that is widely used in the standard model of gas data and sew data.

  • In case of the welding process, a conventional production method of gate valve, it has a merit of light weight, but also a demerit of high production cost and an impossibility in mass production due to work by hand. However, in case of the forging process, it has economic merits and can take a mass production process, too. The main focus of this paper is the optimization of preform in the forging process. This paper proposed an optimal design to improve the mechanical efficiency of gate valve made by forging method instead of welding. the optional design is conducted as application of real response model to Kriging model using computer simulation. Also, from verification of the response model with optimized results we were confirmed that the applications of Kriging method to structural optimum design using finite element analysis and equation are useful and reliable.

토폴로지 이미지를 이용한 CAD모델 구축 (CAD Model Construction Using Topology Image)

  • Topology optimization is widely accepted as a conceptual design tool for the product design. Since the resulted layout of the topology optimization is a kind of digital images represented by the density distribution, the seamless process is required to transform digital images to the CAD model for the practical use. In this paper, the general process to construct a CAD model is developed to apply for topology images based on elements. The node density and the morphology technique are adopted to extract boundary contour of the shape and remove the noise of images through erosion and dilation operation. The proposed method automatically generates point data sets of the geometric model. The process is integrated with Pro/Engineer, so that the engineer in practice can directly handle with curves or surfaces form digital images.

  • The output power efficiency of the fuel cell system depends on the demanded current, stack temperature, air excess ratio, hydrogen excess ratio and inlet air humidity. Thus, it is necessary to determine the optimal operation condition for maximum power efficiency. In this paper, we developed a dynamic model of fuel cell system which contains mass flow model, diffusivity gas layer model, membrane hydration and electrochemistry model. In order to determine the maximum output power and minimum use of hydrogen in a certain power condition, response surface methodology (RSM) optimization based on the proposed PEMFC stack model is presented. The results provide an effective method to optimize the operation condition under varied situations.

  • Because of kinematic complexities, nonlinear behavior, etc, the performance of oleo-pneumatic landing gear is predicted by qualified commercial softwares. While commercial softwares predict more exactly, it takes a long time to construct or modify a model. At initial design stage, design parameters can be determined quickly and exactly enough with simple 2 degree of freedom model of mass, spring and damping. 2 degree of freedom model can be easily applied to optimization and reliability analysis which takes repetitive computation. In this paper, oleo-pneumatic landing gear is modeled as a nonlinear 2 degree of freedom model. The analysis are compared with landing gear drop test. To determine design parameter, optimization problem is solved with genetic algorithm and 2 degree of freedom model.

튜닝 모델을 이용한 웹 서비스 성능 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Web Service Performance Enhancement Using Tuning Model)

  • Because of paradigm change to web service, numerous institutes have been suggested supporting solution about web service, and actively developed system using web service but it is hard to find out a systematic study for web service performance enhancement. Generally, there are SOAP message processing improvement and configuration optimization of server viewpoint for web service performance enhancement. Web service performance enhancement through SOAP message processing improvement have been studied related research but configuration optimization of server is hard to find out a systematic tuning model and performance criteria. In this paper, I suggested performance testing based tuning model and criteria of configuration optimization of server viewpoint. We executed practical analysis using tuning model about web service in internet. This paper show that the proposed tuning model and performance criteria is applicable to web service performance enhancement.

Hysteresis modeling for cyclic behavior of concrete-steel composite joints using modified CSO

  • Concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) column joints with composite beams have been widely used as lateral loading resisting elements in civil infrastructure. To better utilize these innovative joints for the application of structural seismic design and analysis, it is of great importance to investigate the dynamic behavior of the joint under cyclic loading. With this aim in mind, a novel phenomenal model has been put forward in this paper, in which a Bouc-Wen hysteresis component is employed to portray the strength and stiffness deterioration phenomenon caused by increment of loading cycle. Then, a modified chicken swarm optimization algorithm was used to estimate the optimal model parameters via solving a global minimum optimization problem. Finally, the experimental data tested from five specimens subjected to cyclic loadings were used to validate the performance of the proposed model. The results effectively demonstrate that the proposed model is an easy and more realistic tool that can be used for the pre-design of CFST column joints with reduced beam section (RBS) composite beams.

Multi-Class Classification Framework for Brain Tumor MR Image Classification by Using Deep CNN with Grid-Search Hyper Parameter Optimization Algorithm

  • Histopathological analysis of biopsy specimens is still used for diagnosis and classifying the brain tumors today. The available procedures are intrusive, time consuming, and inclined to human error. To overcome these disadvantages, need of implementing a fully automated deep learning-based model to classify brain tumor into multiple classes. The proposed CNN model with an accuracy of 92.98 % for categorizing tumors into five classes such as normal tumor, glioma tumor, meningioma tumor, pituitary tumor, and metastatic tumor. Using the grid search optimization approach, all of the critical hyper parameters of suggested CNN framework were instantly assigned. Alex Net, Inception v3, Res Net -50, VGG -16, and Google - Net are all examples of cutting-edge CNN models that are compared to the suggested CNN model. Using huge, publicly available clinical datasets, satisfactory classification results were produced. Physicians and radiologists can use the suggested CNN model to confirm their first screening for brain tumor Multi-classification.

보행 모의 실험을 위한 발목 없는 하지 외골격 로봇의 지면 접촉 모델 최적화 (Optimization of Ground Contact Model of Ankleless Lower Exoskeleton Robot for Gait Simulation)

  • The purpose of this study is to optimize parameters of a contact model to obtain similar ground contact force of human walking. Dynamic walking simulation considering ground contact is performed to determine load specifications when developing walking assist robots. Large contact forces that are not observed in actual experimental data occur during the simulation at the initial contact (e.g., heel contact). The large contact force generates unrealistic large joint torques. A lower exoskeleton robot with no ankles is developed with the Matlab simscape and the nonlinear hyper volumetric contact model is applied. Parameters of the nonlinear hyper volumetric model were optimized using actual walking contact force data. As a result of optimization, it was possible to obtain a contact force pattern similar to actual walking by removing the large contact force generated during initial contact.
