As mobile phone has acquired a status of a fashion item expressing one's character, it is necessary to understand the fashion needs for this new fashion product. The purpose of this study was to apply the fashion orientation construct developed in the clothing research field to mobile phone and explore its validity. The multi-dimensional construct of fashion orientation which most widely represented the fashion aspects was examined for the two product categories of clothing and mobile phone. Data were collected from an online questionnaire survey, and a total of 1,136 responses were analyzed. The construct structure of fashion orientation of mobile phone resulted in individuality, innovation, and fashion was different from that of clothing extracted to interest/importance, fashion/innovation, and individuality. Fashion sensitivity and an early adoption of a new product were two different dimensions in mobile phone while not separable in clothing. Despite a higher predictability of the fashion/innovation orientation of clothing on fashion orientation rather than on innovation orientation of mobile phone, innovation orientation was more important to purchase behaviors of mobile phone. The study still implies that it is valid to use clothing fashion innovative consumers for mobile phone marketing.

On the limited urban area meteorological data are hard to be collected because of the cost problem. The facilities collecting the data require high installment cost. Recently, the sensor network technique comes to the fore as a solution. Furthermore a mobile phone also becomes to be recognized as a sensor. This paper studies an application to service the meteorological map using mobile phone sensor. A design results for system implementation are introduced in this paper.

최근 이동전화의 대중화로 이동전화 서비스를 제공받고자 하는 이동전화 인구는 폭발적으로 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 또한 CDMA와 같은 휴대용 단말기의 소형화와 경량화, 휴대용 전화를 통한 이동전화 서비스의 필요성이 증가함에 따라 이에 필요한 평가항목 개발과 시험환경 구축이 시급한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 이에 이동전화 서비스 환경의 필수적인 단말기에 대한 시험원리에 대한 소개와 무선망상에서 사용되는 시험호인 무선데이터에 대한 전반적인 설명을 하면서 무선데이터를 이용한 품질평가 방법 형태에 대하여 현황과 앞으로의 전망에 대하여 알아보고자 한다.

본 연구의 목적은 초등학생의 휴대전화 주요 용도인 가족연락용, 친구연락용, 개인오락용 수준이 휴대전화의 의존적 사용 정도와 우울에 어떠한 복합적인 구조적 영향을 미치는지 파악하는 것이다. 본 연구는 연구수행을 위하여 제3차 한국 아동 청소년 패널의 초등학교 6학년 1,996명 자료를 구조방정식 모형을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 가족연락용 휴대전화 사용은 휴대전화 의존적 사용에 부(-)의 영향을, 친구연락용과 개인오락용 휴대전화 사용은 휴대전화 의존적 사용에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 또한, 휴대전화의 의존적 사용은 우울에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 휴대전화 의존적 사용은 가족연락용과 우울 간 관계를 부분매개하고, 친구연락용과 우울 간 관계 및 개인오락용과 우울 간 관계를 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the moderating role of Ego-Resilience between Peer Attachment and Mobile Phone Dependency in late adolescence. Methods: The participants were 2056 third year high school adolescents (1,041 boys and 1,015 girls) from the Korea Youth Panel Study (KYPS), a national representative of Korean Children and adolescence. Hierarchical Regression was used for data analysis. Results: First, the correlation between peer attachment, ego-resilience and mobile phone dependency were all significant. Second, ego-resilience takes the role of moderator for mobile phone dependency. In detail, ego-resilience relieves the mobile phone dependency caused by 'peer relationships' or 'conflict in peer relationships. Conclusion/Implications: Ego-resilience was found to control the relationship between peer attachment and mobile phone dependency. Therefore, in order to lower the dependence of mobile phones in adolescents with low peer attachment, a program that can enhance ego-resilience is needed.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare the mother's rearing attitude and communication between mobile phone addiction group and non-addiction group in middle school students. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was performed with 574 students from 3 middle schools (1 boy school, 1 girl school, 1 coeducation school) at G-city in Gangwon Province. The data was collected from the 10th to 24th of July in 2010. Statistical analysis of the results was carried out by means, frequencies, chi-square, t-test and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: There were significant differences in mobile phone addiction group and non-addiction group in regard to sex, school year, grades, mother' age, purpose of mobile phone use, activity after school, phone bill per month. Also There were significant differences in mother's rearing attitude and mother's communication between two groups. Conclusion: Mobile phone addiction among students is not serious, however, possibility of becoming an addict still remains. This study suggests that we have to educate them about proper mobile phone use in advance to prevent them from becoming a mobile phone addict in early stage. Therefore, we need to develop an educational program to prevent mobile phone addiction.

The purpose of the present study was to test the impact of depression on mobile phone dependency among elementary school students, to test the mediating effect of self-esteem between depression and mobile phone dependency, and to draw out theoretical and practical implications in terms of preventing or reducing mobile phone dependency. Based on previous studies, a longitudinal research model between the aforementioned three variables has been identified. The present study analyzed the 4th, 5th, and 6th wave data from Korea Children and Youth Panel Study 2010 (KCYPS 2010). The major results were as follows. First, depression could have a significant negative effect on self-esteem. Second, self-esteem could have a significant negative effect on mobile phone dependency. Third, the influence of depression on mobile phone dependency was not significant. Fourth, gender could be a significant moderating variable between depression and self-esteem. Finally, a number of implications of these findings were also discussed.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the trajectories of mobile phone use with reference to its purposes, and to examine the effects of gender and interpersonal factors on the same in early adolescents. Methods: Latent growth modeling was used with a sample of 2,378 early adolescents from Grade 4 to 8. Data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute were used. Results: In boys and girls, overtime, the level of mobile phone use for communicating with family decreased, while that for communicating with friends increased. Level of mobile phone use for entertainment increased across time in boys; however, in girls, it increased from Grade 4 to 6 and decreased thereafter, until Grade 8. Gender was associated with the changes of mobile phone use according to the purpose of the same. Positive parenting, negative parenting, relationships with peers, and relationships with teachers predicted changes in mobile phone use for communicating with friends. Conclusion: These findings suggest that the processes involved in the trajectories of mobile phone use in early adolescence operate differently based on the purposes of the same. Additionally, the present results show that interpersonal factors are highly associated with mobile phone use for communicating with friends.

본 논문에서는 로봇기술(Robot Technology, RT)과 정보기술(Information Technology, IT)의 핵심 인 휴대폰을 활용한 RITS(RT&IT System) 융합기술을 이용하여 로봇제어 및 원격감시를 수행하는 G-Robot의 프레임웍을 설계하고 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템에서 로봇에 장착된 휴대폰은 로봇을 제어하는데 활용할 뿐만 아니라 사용자의 휴대폰으로 영상정보를 전송한다. 사용자는 휴대폰을 활용하여 로봇의 주변지역을 감시하고 로봇의 움직임을 제어한다. 뿐만 아니라, 미리 설정된 상황이 발생했을 경우, 휴대폰이 합체된 로봇은 사용자의 휴대폰으로 데이터를 전송한다. 실험결과, 3세대 이동통신이 가능한 지역에서 휴대폰을 이용하여 실시간으로 로봇을 제어하였고, 로봇의 주변 환경을 감시 할 수 있었다. 또한 시야에서 관찰되는 영역에 로봇 있을 경우 휴대폰 대신 블루투스를 이용하여 실시간으로 로봇을 제어할 수 있었다.

Recently healthcare industry such as pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare service technology is growing significantly. Mobile healthcare has attracted big attention due to IT convergence technology. Paradigm of healthcare has been changed from the 1st generation(communicable disease prevention) and the 2nd generation(treatment of disease due to extended life expectancy) to the 3rd generation(extended life expectancy due to prevention and control). In our study, we suggest the 3rd generation mobile healthcare system using Bluetooth based wearable ECG monitoring system and smart phone technology. The mobile healthcare system consists of wearable shirts with Bluetooth communication module, ECG sensor, battery, and mobile phone. The ECG data is obtained by a miniaturized sensor and the data is transferred to a mobile phone using Bluetooth communication. Then, user can monitor his/her own ECG signal on an application using Android in mobile phone. The Bluetooth communication device is used due to highly reliable data transmission property and the Bluetooth chip is embedded in every mobile phone. The wearable shirts with chest belt of Bluetooth ECG module is designed with a focus on convenience in the daily life of a wearer. The ECG signal evaluation software in Android based mobile phone is developed for the health check and the ECG signal variation is tested according to the activities of the wearer such as walking, climbing stairs, stand up and sit down, and so on.
