Ubiquitous web services have been expanding in various business areas with the evolution of wireless Internet technologies, accessible and usable with a variety of mobile Internet devices such as smart phones. Ubiquitous mobile-web information services can be evaluated for accessibility and usability with the mobile Internet devices interacting with mobile-web information servers. In human mobile-web activity, a web server could be a unified center for mobile-web interaction services as well as for real-time estimation and analysis of mobile-web interaction sessions. We present a real-time estimation and analysis scheme for time-based accessibility and usability in ubiquitous mobile-web services. With real-time estimation/analysis of sessions in a mobile-web server, we estimated the time-based accessibility and usability for comparison between different web services as well as for applications in mobile cloud computing services. We present empirical results based on the implementation of the real-time estimation/analysis scheme.

Web services are key applications in business­to-business, business-to-customer, and enterprise applications integration solutions. As the mobile internet becomes one of the main methods for information delivery, mobile Web Services are regarded as a critical aspect of e-business architecture. In this paper, we proposed a mobile Web Services middleware that converts conventional internet services into mobile Web services. We implemented a WSDL (Web Service Description Language) builder that converts HTML/XML into WSDL and a SAOP (Simple Object Access Protocol) message processor that performs SOAP message handling, chain and handling of server requests. The former minimizes the overhead cost of rebuilding mobile Web Services and enables seamless services between wired and wireless internet services. The latter enhances SOAP processing performance by eliminating the Servlet container (Tomcat), a required component of typical Web services implementation. Our main contributions are to overcome the latency problem of current Web Services and to provide an easy mobile Web service implementation. Our system can completely support standard Web Services protocol, minimizing communication overhead, message processing time, and server overload. Finally we compare our empirical results with those of typical Web Services.

본 논문에서는 모바일 웹서비스 메시지에 대한 보안 수준을 측정하고, 보안성과 신뢰성을 향상시키기 위한 방법으로, 모바일 웹서비스 메시지에 대한 보안 평가 방안을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위해서 모바일 웹서비스 보안 서비스의 개요와 보안 위협을 정의한 후, 모바일 웹서비스 메시지 보안 평가 방법을 정의하였다. 또한, 모바일 웹서비스 메시지 보안 평가를 위한 요구사항들을 정의하였고, 모바일 웹서비스 메시지 보안 평가 프레임워크를 구성하였다. 마지막으로, 모바일 웹서비스 메시지 보안 평가 프레임워크를 이용한 평가 시나리오에 대한 예제를 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 모바일 웹서비스 메시지 보안 평가 방안을 통해서, 모바일 웹서비스가 제공되기 이전에 모바일 웹서비스 메시지에 대한 보안 수준을 점검할 수 있으며, 발생할 수 있는 보안 위협에 대한 대응책을 마련할 수 있다. 이를 통해서, 모바일 웹서비스 메시지에 대한 보안성과 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있고, 모바일 웹서비스의 활성화를 촉진시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Recently Web Services choreography working group of W3C has published the working draft on WSCDL (Web Services Choreography Description Language) version 1.0 which defines reusable common rules to govern the ordering of exchanged messages between Web Services participants. This paper considers a computing environment where mobile clients are interacting with Web Services providers based on a WSCDL specification. In order to effectively cope with the user and device mobility of such an environment, in this paper we present an ongoing work to develop a framework through which a mobile client can specify its preference on how conversation should take place. The proposed framework provides a flexible means for mobile clients to minimize the number of message exchanges while allowing them to adhere to the required choreography.

웹서비스는 웹의 구조를 서비스 기반의 보다 진화된 형태로 변화시키고 있는 가장 핵심적인 기술이며, 이러한 기술을 PDA, 스마트폰 등의 다양한 모바일 디바이스에서 효과적으로 적용하는 방법에 대한 연구가 필요한 시점이다. 특히, 우리나라는 CDMA 기반의 효율적이고 체계적인 모바일 환경을 갖추고 있으므로, 최근 크게 이슈가 되고 있는 웹서비스를 모바일 환경에 적용 및 활용 방법에 대한 연구를 수행하기에 적합하다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 모바일 환경에서 웹서비스를 효과적으로 적용할 수 있는 방법으로 다양한 기능을 수행하는 인터미디어리 기반의 모바일 웹서비스 프레임워크에 대하여 설명한다.

이 연구에서는 모바일 웹 서비스를 제공하는 공공도서관을 대상으로 국제 웹 표준 기구 W3C에서 만든 웹 접근성 평가도구인 모바일OK 검사를 실시하여 공공도서관 모바일 웹 서비스의 웹 접근성을 평가하였다. 모바일OK 검사 실시가 가능한 81개 공공도서관에 대해 모바일OK 검사를 실시하고 W3C에서 제정한 모바일 웹 모범사례를 바탕으로 이를 분석하였다. 분석된 결과를 바탕으로 공공도서관 모바일 웹 서비스 확대 및 개선을 위하여 지방자치단체와 지방교육청의 정책적 지원, 웹 표준에 맞는 모바일 웹 서비스 설계, 웹 설계 과정에서 유해요소 제거, 가벼운 모바일 웹 문서 제작, 분산되어 연결된 여러 개별 파일들의 합병 등의 방안을 제시하였다.

모바일 웹 서비스 사용자가 증가함에 따라 품질을 고려한 모바일 웹 서비스 선택이 중요한 이슈로 여겨지고 있다. 품질계약은 서비스 품질의 수준을 명세한 웹 서비스 제공자와 웹 서비스 사용자간의 협약으로 웹 서비스 사용자는 품질계약을 통해 명세한 서비스 품질의 수준을 보장받을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 품질을 고려하여 모바일 웹 서비스를 선택하기 위하여 중개자 기반의 프레임워크를 제안한다. 모바일 사용자들은 무선망에서 서비스 중개자를 통하여 웹 서비스를 요청할 수 있다. 서비스 중개자는 에이전트를 이용하여 웹 서비스 품질을 모니터링하며 서비스 품질계약에 위반사항이 발생하면 웹 서비스 제공자와 사용자에게 위반사항이 발생하였음을 통보함으로써 서비스 품질을 관리한다. 본 논문에서는 모니터링을 위하여 신뢰성, 응답시간, 그리고 가격 품질요소들을 사용하였으며 모바일 사용자들은 서비스 중개자를 통하여 품질 좋은 웹 서비스를 선택할 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 WML 페이지를 닷넷 모바일 웹 페이지로 변환하는 웹 서비스를 설계$\cdot$구현하였다. 웹 서비스는 플랫폼과 프로그래밍언어의 제약 없이 누구나 사용 가능하다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 별도로 제공되는 변환 시스템을 제공하는 웹 서비스 제공자와 이를 사용하는 웹 서비스 소비자를 함께 구현하였다. 쳅 서비스를 호출하는 웹 서비스 소비자를 구현함으로써 클라이언트(개발자)들은 별다른 작업 없이 웹 서버를 통해 웹 서비스를 호출하여 닷넷 모바일 웹 페이지로 변환된 결과를 받아 볼 수 있다. 또한 웹 서비스의 구현 방법을 고려하지 않고도 이를 사용하여 새로운 응용프로그램을 구현할 수 있다.

Recently, online real-time web accessible mobile devices such as smartphones, tablet PCs and application services have been developing rapidly. Hospitals also need to adopt an efficient information system that can provide decent medical services under mobile computing environments to complete future medical services. This study proposes a system in which a doctor can examine a patient and make out a prescription in a ward on a real-time based on the current Order Communication Systems (OCSs) through mobile interfaces. The proposed system implements mobile web pages using HTML5, instead of a mobile app. Web processing speed can be enhanced using the web socket and web storage functions of HTML5.

The objective of this research is to analyze which functions make up web-based as well as mobile social media services and messengers. Services are clustered by their functionality. A total of 640 individual functions were identified, while investigating altogether 44 selected services in their web and mobile versions. Applying content analysis, functions were assigned to the services. The services were ranked by the number of implemented functions, and the functions were ranked by their occurrence in the services. Cluster analysis was applied to classify the services according to their functionality. Facebook and VKontakte were found to be the ones with the most functions; the most frequently implemented functions are support, profile, and account-related. Cluster analysis revealed six classes for mobile and seven classes for web applications. There is a noteworthy difference regarding the functionality scope between web and mobile applications of the same services. An example for this is Mendeley with 38 functions in the mobile and 91 functions in the web version. This is the first empirical attempt at clustering social media services based on their functionality.
