Many mobile sensing frameworks have been developed to help researcher doing their mobile sensing research. However, energy consumption is still an issue in the mobile sensing research, and the existing frameworks do not provide enough solution for solving the issue. We have surveyed several mobile sensing frameworks and carefully chose one framework to improve. We have designed an adaptive sampling module for a mobile sensing framework to help solve the energy consumption issue. However, in this study, we limit our design to an adaptive sampling module for the location and motion sensors. In our adaptive sampling module, we utilize the significant motion sensor to help the adaptive sampling. We experimented with two sampling strategies that utilized the significant motion sensor to achieve low-power consumption during the continuous sampling. The first strategy is to utilize the sensor naively only while the second one is to add the duty cycle to the naive approach. We show that both strategies achieve low energy consumption, but the one that is combined with the duty cycle achieves better result.

Mobile Health (M-Health) system is a recent term for medical and public health practice supported by mobile devices, such as mobile phones, PDAs, and other wireless devices. Mobile Health system has been successfully establishing at few general hospital in Korea. However, to use diverse devices manufactured by various company cause inoperability, and lack of security disappoints customers often. Although the outstanding health environment, most of hospitals are unavailable to share electronic patient records due to lack of standard protocol to handle the interoperability each other. Health Level 7 (HL7) is the best solution for the problem. In this paper, we will analyse a current M-Health service in terms of security and mobile device, and suggest iPhone for the best device against hospital environment. Also, for keep confidentiality of health information and patient privacy, enhanced security mechanism is introduced. As a consequence, interoperable standard, and most appropriate device for supporting staffs and M-Health performance, and enhanced securirty mechanism will be integrated in order to propose improved M-health model.
Purpose: In the context of the emergence of industry 4.0, using mobile phones as a modern distribution channel to execute financial services is a significant solution for commercial banks' retail services and a gateway to promote financial inclusion and market development. Despite that service quality and customer satisfaction are two diverse notions and closely related to each other in the service sector, there is hardly a research which empirically examines the impacts of each dimensions of mobile banking service quality and customer satisfaction. Research design, data and methodology: This study first employs in-depth interview to explore various aspects of mobile banking service quality dimensions, including empathy, responsiveness, tangibility, assurance, and reliability that serves to develop measurement scales and hypothesis development. A quantitative survey is followed to collect data from 265 Vietnamese bank customers to empirically test the conceptual model. Resutls: Our findings indicate that more human-related factors including empathy, assurance, and responsiveness show the strongest impacts on customer satisfaction with mobile banking service while tangibility and reliability, as technical aspects, are less influential factors. Conclusions: Finally, some crucial implications are drawn for the banks to manage consumer behavior in mobile banking.
Purpose: The primary purpose of this study is to examine the influence of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) on the use of mobile money in Indonesia. The acceptance of technology has brought changes to society where the application of technology is aimed at identifying the best solution among the various existing alternatives. There are two types of electronic money: chip-based and server-based electronic money. Server-based electronic money is found on mobile phones. The Indonesian government has encouraged the use of electronic money and launched Less Cash Society to create a secure, efficient, and smooth payment system. Research design, data, and methodology: This study collected quantitative data from users of server-based electronic money through surveys conducted based on the sample size. The data were processed using SEM LISREL 8.70. Results: the results show that each of the TAM's fundamental elements has a significant impact. Perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness are able to encourage attitude toward using and behavioral intention to use towards actual use. Conclusions: The distribution of mobile money has a positive impact on society. Hence, mobile money providers must simplify access-recommendations made to strengthen the acceptance of mobile money via Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness.
In a dynamic business environment, the enterprise mobility solution for a mobile office (EMS) has been adopted to increase the competitive edge of organizations. By using an EMS, performance is expected to be enhanced. However, the related literature has paid little interest to the impact of system quality in an EMS on the information quality produced by the system. On the basis of socio-technical theory, we posited that the system quality in an EMS influences information quality. In addition, we investigated the relationships between the above two qualities, use and job performance by considering task mobility and task inter-dependence as control variables. Survey respondents were from many industries using EMSs. The result of structural equation modeling shows that system quality positively affects information quality, and other relationships in the model are proven statistically significant. We also found that system quality has stronger impacts on use and job performance than information quality does in EMS. However, system quality does not affect use in case both task mobility and task inter-dependence exist. The theoretical and practical implications of the result are discussed in the paper.
According to development of Internet and computer graphics technology, Digital fashion technology makes virtual fitting service capable by reappearing of clothes in 3D. In this paper, We suggest that combined solution which you could use virtual fitting service with various device. For example, imaginary mirror(such as digital information display), pc, mobile in different situations such as store, internet shopping market, commercial. Users can experience imaginary mirror that is located in store or 3D virtual fitting service for digital fashion in internet shopping market, mobile application. In addition, We proposed the solution that user can send experienced virtual fitting service results to other person by image file form of MMS.
The problem of selecting base station location in the design of mobile communication system has been basically regarded as a problem of assigning maximum users in the cell to the minimum base stations while maintaining minimum SIR. and it is NP hard. The objective function of warehouse location problem, which has been used by many researchers, is not proper function in the base station location problem in CDMA mobile communication, The optimal and approximate solutions have been presented by using proposed object function and algorithms of exact solution, and the simulation results have been assessed and analyzed. The optimal and approximate solutions are found by using mixed integer programming instead of meta-heuristic search methods.

With the emerging mobile technologies, applications based on GIS are also getting more attention recently. But it is known to have some limitations in being served in different types of mobile devices and platforms. While information services are limited by data format and data exchange between platforms, the eXtensible Markup Language(XML) is getting focused as the most promising technology as the solution to such problems. Geographic Markup Language(GML) is based on XML technology and is being frequently mentioned recently as the solution to service problem on different mobile devices as well as the internet. In this study, we suggested the framework to use the GML in order to transfer and represent geographical data through the on-line or wireless platforms. We compared different application types which are currently used with GML and proposed to improve GIS services using the GML in geographical data transfer and description.

Recently, most of mobile devices are equipped with GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System). When the GNSS signal is available, it is easy to obtain position information. However, GNSS is not suitable solution for indoor localization, since the signals are normally not reachable inside buildings. A wide varieties of technology have been developed as a solution for indoor localization such as Wi-Fi, beacons, and inertial sensor. With the increased sensor combinations in mobile devices, mobile devices also became feasible to provide a solution, which based on PDR (Pedestrian Dead Reckoning) method. In this study, we utilized the combination of three sensors equipped in mobile devices including accelerometer, digital compass, and gyroscope and applied three representative PDR methods. The proposed methods are done in three stages; step detection, step length estimation, and heading determination and the final indoor localization result was evaluated with terrestrial LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) data obtained in the same test site. By using terrestrial LiDAR data as reference ground truth for PDR in two differently designed experiments, the inaccuracy of PDR methods that could not be found by existing evaluation method could be revealed. The firstexperiment included extreme direction change and combined with similar pace size. Second experiment included smooth direction change and irregular step length. In using existing evaluation method which only checks traveled distance, The results of two experiments showed the mean percentage error of traveled distance estimation resulted from three different algorithms ranging from 0.028 % to 2.825% in the first experiment and 0.035% to 2.282% in second experiment, which makes it to be seen accurately estimated. However, by using the evaluation method utilizing terrestrial LiDAR data, the performance of PDR methods emerged to be inaccurate. In the firstexperiment, the RMSEs (Root Mean Square Errors) of x direction and y direction were 0.48 m and 0.41 m with combination of the best available algorithm. However, the RMSEs of x direction and y direction were 1.29 m and 3.13 m in the second experiment. The new evaluation result reveals that the PDR methods were not effective enough to find out exact pedestrian position information opposed to the result from existing evaluation method.
In this paper we study the access network design problem in Universal Mobile Telecommunication Systems (UMTS) networks. Given the location of radio base stations (node-Bs), their traffic demands, and the candidate facility centers for locating radio network controllers (RNCs), the problem is to determine the configuration of access network, including the number and location of facility centers, the number of RNCs in each facility center, and the links between RNCs and node-Bs, with the objective being to design such a network at the minimum cost. We provide a mathematical formulation of the problem with constraints on RNC and node-B capacities, along with a lower bounding method. We develop a heuristic algorithm with two different initial solution methods designed to strengthen the solution quality. The computational efficacy of their procedures is then demonstrated on a number of test problems.
