퍼지-신경망 제어기법을 이용한 Mobile Robot의 지능제어 (Intelligent Control of Mobile robot Using Fuzzy Neural Network Control Method)

  • This paper presents a new approach to the design of cruise control system of a mobile robot with two drive wheel. The proposed control scheme uses a Gaussian function as a unit function in the fuzzy neural network, and back propagation algorithm to train the fuzzy neural network controller in the framework of the specialized learning architecture. It is proposed a learning controller consisting of two neural network-fuzzy based on independent reasoning and a connection net with fixed weights to simply the neural networks-fuzzy. The performance of the proposed controller is shown by performing the computer simulation for trajectory tracking of the speed and azimuth of a mobile robot driven by two independent wheels.

  • Ongoing standardization effort on 3G cellular system in 3GPP (UNTS) is based on GPRS core network and promises a global standard for systems capable of offering ubiquitous access to internet for mobile users. Considered radio access systems(FDD CDMA, TDD CDMA, and EDGE) are optimized for robust mobile use. However, there are alternative relatively high-rate radio interfaces being standardized for WLAN (IEEE802.11 and HIPER-LAN/2) which are capable of delivering significantly higher data rates to static or semi-static terminals with much less overhead. Also WPANs(BLUETOOTH, IEEE802.15), which will be present in virtually every mobile handset in the near future, are offering low cast and considerable access data rate and thus are very attractive for interworking scenarios. The prospect of using these interfaces as alternative RANs inthe modular UMTS architecture is very promising. Additionally, the recent inclusion of M-IP in the UMTS R99 standard opens the way for IP-level interfacing to the core network. This article offers an overview into WLAN-Cellular interworking. A brief overview of GPRS, UMTS cellular architectures and relevant WLAN standards is given. Possible interworking architectures are presented.

이동인터넷을 위한 QoS 제어 및 링크레벨 성능분석 (QoS Control and Link-Level Performance Analysis for Mobile IP of Wireless Communication Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 3세대 이동통신망이 Mobile IP를 지원하기 위한 통합망 구조를 제시하고, 통 합망에서 DiffServ에 의한 종단간 QoS를 제공할 경우 망을 구성하는 각 요소가 가져야 할 QoS 제어기능 및 메카니즘을 제안한다. 이를 위해 현재 IMT-2000의 QoS 제광 구조를 살펴보고, 통합망의 필요성 및 구조를 제시한 다음, DiffServ 클래스와 무선채널과의 매핑관계 및 종단간 QoS 제공 메카니즘을 제안한다. 또한 CDMA 이동인터넷망에서 QoS지원을 위한 무선접속 링크레벨의 성능을 분석한다. 데이터 트래픽의 경우 SREJ ARQ방식과 Type-1 Hybrid ARQ방식을 비교 분석하고, 음성 트래픽의 경우 BCH 코딩을 사용하여 데이터 트래픽 부하변화에 따른 음성 패킷의 에러율을 분석한다 분석 결과 구현상의 복잡도는 높으나 QoS를 만족시키는 적응적 ARQ와 적응적 FEC 코딩을 이용하는 방식이 보다 효율적임을 알 수 있다.

Analytical Approach of New Random-walk Based Mobility Management Scheme in IP-based Mobile Networks

  • In next-generation wireless networks, provisioning of IP-based network architecture and seamless transmission services are very important issues for mobile nodes. For this reason, a mobility management mechanism to support global roaming is highly regarded. These technologies bring a broader life by using a global roaming account through the connection of multiple devices or technology to mobile users; they also provide real-time multimedia services. This paper presents a comprehensive performance analysis of fast handover for hierarchical mobile IPv6 (F-HMIPv6), hierarchical mobile IPv6 (HMIPv6), Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6), and fast Proxy Mobile IPv6 (FPMIPv6) using the fluid-flow model and random-walk model. As a result, the location update cost of the PMIPv6 and FPMIPv6 is better than that of HMIPv6 and F-HMIPv6. These results suggest that the network-based mobility management technology is superior to the hierarchical mobility management technology in the mobility environment.

차세대 광대역 유무선 통합망의 구조 설계 (The architecture of future ingegrated network of mobile into B-ISDN)

  • Next generation mobile networks will be demanded to support high speed data and multimedia services in addition to extisting serviced including voice communications. In this paper, we discuss the requirements of the wireless service with broad range of appkications, and present several types of architecture for future bobile network. After a brief comparative analysis, we propose a most practical and feasible one. And also, we discuss possible interworking scenarios between radio access system and intelligent network. In consideration of the selected infrastructure and scenario, we present protocol architectures and basic functions of radio access system. Based on the architecture, we believe that the itegrated system can be realized with such advantages of easy interworking, high feasibility on common services, easy introduction to new services, and unified operation.

Clustering-Based Mobile Gateway Management in Integrated CRAHN-Cloud Network

  • The limited storage and computing capacity hinder the development of cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRAHNs). To solve the problem, a new paradigm of cloud-based CRAHN has been proposed, in which a CRAHN will make use of the computation and storage resources of the cloud. This paper envisions an integrated CRAHN-cloud network architecture. In this architecture, some cognitive radio users (CUs) who satisfy the required metrics could perform as mobile gateway candidates to connect other ordinary CUs with the cloud. These mobile gateway candidates are dynamically clustered according to different related metrics. Cluster head and time-to-live value are determined in each cluster. In this paper, the gateway advertisement and discovery issues are first addressed to propose a hybrid gateway discovery mechanism. After that, a QoS-based gateway selection algorithm is proposed for each CU to select the optimal gateway. Simulations are carried out to evaluate the performance of the overall scheme, which incorporates the proposed clustering and gateway selection algorithms. The results show that the proposed scheme can achieve about 11% higher average throughput, 10% lower end-to-end delay, and 8% lower packet drop fractions compared with the existing scheme.

  • 2본 논문에서는 인터넷 QoS 지원 이동 IP 망에서의 정책기반 네트워크 시스템 설계 및 망관리 시스템 구현 방법에 대해 제안한다. 본 논문의 망관리 시스템은 정책기반 네트워크의 정책서버로서의 역할을 하게 된다. 인터넷 QoS 지원 이동 IP 망에서의 정책기반 네트워크의 전체적인 프레임워크는 크게 응용계층, 정보관리계층, 정책제어 계층, 디바이스계층의 네 계층으로 나뉘어 통합된 관리를 수행하는 구조를 가지고 있으며, 이러한 통합된 망관리 시스템에 적용할 네 가지 범주(access control, mobile IP operation, QoS control, network monitoring)의 정책 구조를 정의하고 이에 따른 동작 절차의 예를 보인다. 실제 QoS 지원 이동 IP 망에서의 정책기반 망관리 시스템의 구현을 위한 설계 방법 및 S/W의 구조와 각 모듈 별 기능에 대해 제시하고 이 망관리 시스템과 각각의 에이전트들과의 원활한 통신을 위해 개발한 SCOPS(Simple Common Open Policy Service)프로토콜의 구조 및 기능에 대해 정의한다. 마지막으로 제안된 인터넷 QoS 지원 이동 IP 망에서의 정책기반 망관리 시스템을 실험실 규모의 테스트 베드에 적용하여 구성하는 방법에 대해 자세히 설명하고 성능평가한다.

Mobile ATM: A Generic and flexible network infrastructure for 3G mobile services

  • this paper presents the concept of "mobile ATM', a proposal for third-generation (3G) mobile communication network infrastructure capable of supporting flexible evolution of radio technologies from today's cellular and data services towards future wireless multimedia services. Mobile ATM provides generic mobility management and QoS-based transport capabilities suitable for integration of multiple radio access technologies including cellular voice. wireless data, and future broadband wireless services. The architecture of a mobile ATM network is outlined in terms of the newly-defined "W-UNI" interface at the radio link and "M-UNI"and "M-UNI" interface which supports unified access for WATM and non-ATM mobile terminals through corresponding interworking functions (IWF) is explained. leading to an understanding of how different radio access technologies are supported by the same ATM-based core network infrastructure. Generic mechanisms for handoff and location management within the core mobile network are discussed. and related protocol extensions over the "W-UNI" and "M-UNI/NNI"interfaces are proposed. the issue of "crossover switch (COS)" selection in mobile ATM is considered, and a unified handoff signaling syntax which supports flexibility in COS selection is described. Typical signaling sequences for call connection and handoff using the proposed protocols are outlined. Experimental results form a proof-of-concept mobile ATM network prototype are presented in conclusion.
