Design of IoT Gateway based Event-Driven Architecture for Intelligent Buildings. (IoT 게이트웨이 기반 지능형 건물의 이벤트 중심 아키텍쳐 설계)

  • The growth of mobile devices in Internet of Things (IoT) leads to a number of intelligent buildings related IoT applications. For instance, home automation controlling system uses client system such web apps on smartphone or web service to access the home server by sending control commands. The home server receives the command, then controls for instance the light system. The gateway based RESTful technology responsible for handling clients' requests attests an internet latency in case a large number of clients' requests submit toward the gateway increases. In this paper, we propose the design tasks of the IoT gateway for handling concurrency events. In the procedure of designing tasks, concurrency is best understood by employing multiple levels of abstraction. The way that is eminently to accomplish concurrency is to build an object-oriented environment with support for messages passing between concurrent objects. We also investigate the performance of event-driven architecture for building IoT gateway using node.js on one side and communication protocol based message-oriented middleware known as XMPP to handle communications of intelligent building control devices connected to the gateway through a centralized hub. The Node.JS is 40% faster than the traditional web server side features thread-based approach. The use of Node.js server-side handles a large number of clients' requests, then therefore, reduces delay in performing predefined actions automatically in intelligent building IoT environment.

  • The IoT has attracted attention as one of the technologies that are applied to various industries and create new services. The IoT can utilize existing network technologies to create services by providing Internet connection between objects. Objects Personalized services can be created by collecting various data using the IoT. In the field of agriculture, we are promoting sustainable agriculture and enhancing competitiveness through the use of the IoT, and the convergence of IoT in agriculture is pushing for smart agriculture. In Korea, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs is preparing measures to spread smart farms to improve agricultural competitiveness using IoT technology. Therefore, we propose the development model of smart agriculture in the future through the case study on the IoT based on agriculture.

  • Recently, Humanity enter the super-connection generation that linking human and things as a result of the development ICT technologies. IoT technology is growing rapidly as a result of IoT technology appearance and development of smart device, technology expansion, the spread of smart sensors, spread diffusion of smart devices, construction of a variety of network. These techniques are applied to those having a mobility is growing importance of network technology. Real-time service and features, such as the accuracy of the data it became important. In order to implement the IoT will need to take into account IP, security, a lot of things such as a service model, but in this paper, want to discuss mobility, for the tracking technology of routing path for efficient service delivery of the host. Therefore, in this paper, the routing path that is currently study examined the tracking technology, we try to refer to routing method of the future of the mobile host.

  • According to Gartner, the size of the global health care industry in 2020 is expected to reach $ 850 billion, which is 15 percent of the total IoT market. The health care market is growing a lot lately, and many people are looking for a fitness center to build a healthy body. Sometimes, they exercise the wrong way by exercising exercise in the wrong way. Even though it is recommended to use the exercise, it is problematic to know how to use it or not to use it. It is becoming a problem. This paper designed the NFC fitness center customized for the fitness center that users use to improve the previously presented problem.

  • It has been increased that communicate each other things such as consumer electronics, mobile equipments and wearable computer with serial communication protocol. The conventional method of SPI and I2C high speed serial communication is widely used with 2 pin of clock and data pin. It has been more important than the speed of data transfer to simplify the hardware structure because the IoT components is reduced the hardware complexity. In this paper, we describe the protocol and implementation of serial data transfer with only one pin. The proposed protocol is suitable for the mobile products that send and receive the small amount of data with low speed and low power consumption.

  • This paper introduces the IoT-based service 'RapportRapport' using arduino and mobile application that focuses on consistency and repetition to manage bedtime routine - the core part of sleep education. It is necessary for baby's better sleep outcomes, including deep sleep and long sleep duration. 'RapportRapport' provides Arduino dolls with sensors attached to provoke sleep association to baby, and to help user's bedtime routine efficiently at the same time. Arduino and mobile application exchange data by communicating via bluetooth.

  • Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is a subset of Internet of Things (IoT) and it is an infrastructure for vehicles. Therefore, IoV consists of three main network including inter-vehicle network, intra-vehicle network, and vehicular mobile internet. IoV mainly used in urban traffic environment to provide network access for drivers, passengers and traffic management. Accordingly, many research works have focused on network technology. But, recent concerted efforts in academia and industry point to paradigm shift in IoV system. In this paper, we proposed a knowledge base for intelligence service in IoV. A detailed design and implementation of the proposed knowledged base is illustrated. We hope this work will show power of IoV as a disruptive technology.

  • As the Internet of Things (IOT) is evolving into an industry-wide service and expanded to the concept of Internet of Everything (IoE), services using IoT devices are easily accessible in everyday life. IoT requires more devices to collect information and is expected to increase the number of devices by 50 billion by 2020, and is about the number of devices currently available. Gradually, the number of mobile devices, smart devices, and Internet devices is increasing, and energy resources are required to operate such a large number of Internet devices, and the energy consumed by each device is small. In this paper, we consider the number of devices to be increased and generate a signal irrespective of transmission information so that power other than the energy required for signal transmission is consumed. When transmission information is generated and near to a receiver to receive information, The method to be used as an analysis is designed through experiments.

Uniform Sensor-node Request Scheme for the Recovery of Sensing Holes on IoT Network (IoT 네트워크의 센싱홀 복구를 위한 센서 이동 균등 요청 방법)

  • When IoT sensor nodes are deployed in areas where data collection is challenging, sensors must be relocated if sensing holes occur due to improper placement of sensors or energy depletion, and data collection is impossible. The sensing hole's cluster header transmits a request message for sensor relocation to an adjacent cluster header through a specific relay node. However, since a specific relay node is frequently used, a member sensor located in a specific cluster area adjacent to the sensing hole can continuously receive the movement message. In this paper, we propose a method that avoids the situation in which the sensing hole cluster header monopolizes a specific relay node and allows the cluster header to use multiple relay nodes fairly. Unlike the existing method in which the relay node immediately responds to the request of the header, the method proposed in this paper solves a ping-pong problem and a problem that the request message is concentrated on a specific relay node by applying a method of responding to the request of the header using a timer. OMNeT++ simulator was used to analyze the performance of the proposed method.

  • 스마트 기기의 범위가 휴대폰을 벗어나 다양한 제품 및 가전으로 확대됨에 따라 부가가치 창출에 유리한 사물인터넷 시장(IoT)이 최근에 각광받고 있다. 사물 인터넷 시장이 확대되고, 방대해지는 스마트 기기의 종류에 따라 사용자가 효율적으로 제어할 수 있는 제어 시스템 구축이 필요하다. 특히 많은 기기 중에서 사용자가 제어하고자 하는 기기를 선택해 제어하는 방식은 사용하기 불편하다. 이러한 사물 인터넷의 특성을 파악하여 본 논문에서는 가정 내에서 사용자의 실내 위치를 기반으로 제어하고자 하는 가전을 직관적 인터페이스를 통해 제어할 수 있는 새로운 제어 패러다임을 시도하였다.
