Although the diffusion of mobile services appears to be occurring much more rapidly than the spread of wired services, there are risks of a new type of digital divide: the mobile divide. The mobile divide, which refers to a specific digital divide that involves the unbalanced diffusion of mobile technologies, must be concretely studied. Thus, this study focuses on the mobile divide with respect to disadvantaged populations. Although various studies suggest that the diffusion of mobile devices may reduce the digital divide, somestudies argue against the positive effect of mobile devices in addressing traditional digital devices. Low and O'Connell (2006) insisted that equity of access to mobile technologies should be considered in the contextof the traditional digital divide; they argued that there may be socio-economic barriers to accessing mobile devices and the mobile Internet that are similar to the socio-economic barriers to accessing stationary computers and the stationary use of the Internet. Focusing on the smartphone divide, this study suggests that emphasizing utilization is an appropriate manner in which to bridge the mobile divide rather than focusing on other factors, such as accessibility and capability, thatprevious studies have used to measure the traditional digital divide.

Along with the evolution of wireless internet environment, information services in mobile internet are being explosively increased. However, due to the high expense for the use of those services, it is not easy to collect the devoted customers. In order to overcome the adverse conditions, the service should be supported by a strategic application system which facilitates easier and fast service for customer's information needs than that of traditional on-line internet. In this paper, we investigate the strategy how to provide the information service under the customer satisfaction, and also consider some ways of personalization of information service and information provision in real-time. As a result of the works, we develop a system, MoSA-CRM(Mobile Service Application based on CRM) to support customer-oriented information service. We believe that the MoSA-CRM system can provide some benefits for information providers in mobile e-commerce market such as flexibility in business strategy, systematic customer relationship management, and growth in financial ability.

스마트폰이 대중화되면서 도서관 정보에 대한 모바일 수요가 증가하고 있고, 모바일 도서관 서비스는 '선택이 아닌 필수'가 되고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 4개 대학도서관 및 미국 ARL 소속 56개 대학도서관이 구축한 모바일 웹, 국내 대학 및 대학도서관이 개발한 모바일 앱 42개, 미국 ARL 소속 대학 및 대학도서관이 개발한 모바일 앱 18개를 대상으로 모바일 도서관 서비스의 사례를 분석하였다. 그리고 국내 4개 대학도서관 및 미국 ARL 소속 56개 대학도서관의 모바일 웹사이트를 대상으로 모바일OK 테스트를 실시하여 모바일 웹 접근성을 평가하였다. 국내 대학도서관은 이용자의 모바일 정보 수요를 반영한 핵심 콘텐츠 위주로 모바일 웹사이트를 구축하고 이용자가 사용하는데 불편이 없도록 모바일 웹 접근성 확보를 제안하였다.

The world mobile service is growing sharply and became bigger market than wired. So it is very needed to find the political way to promote mobile industry. The United States government recently decided to introduce new mobile policies for promoting mobile industry. Until now the telecommunications policies of the United States have affected policy developments for many countries including Korea. In this context, we studied the validity of introducing new mobile policies of the United States in Korea. We found that new mobile policies can cause the change of mobile market environment; mobile market power will be dispersed from network to content, application and devise, and new mobile market environment where consumers freely select and use network as well as content, application and devise will be made. Also we found empirically that if new policies are introduced in Korea, mobile industry will be promoted as Korean consumers use mobile services and goods quite actively in new mobile market. We think our results provide reasonable evidence to introduce new mobile policies in Korea.

Recently the wireless-internet has been spreading extensively. People are spending a large part of their time gaining access to information using a mobile device. With the rapid growth of on-line Electronic Commerce, the use of mobile devices creates a new paradigm that provides users with location-independent real time service. Although this new paradigm does have some advantages, limited process speed, low bandwidth, the low battery capacity of mobile devices, and a high rate of wireless network errors causes many overhead expenses during service time with the server. In this paper, we suggest an autonomous service delivery system, which provides mobile agent capability to users that cannot maintain a connection. We have developed the system based on java mobile agent technology. Using this system, we can provide more effective service to users when the user is sending requirements for service through a mobile device that has limited resources. Furthermore we can manage the contact server dynamically when new services are added.

The objective of this study is to find the factors influencing the use of mobile service. We extracted critical study variables according to literature reviews about adoption of information systems, those under the internet environment and mobile internet adoption for theoretical foundation. TAM suggested by Davis(1985) has explained the acceptance mechanism with the following constructs: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude toward use, behavioral intention and actual usage. After studying prior literature reviews, this study investigated the group of people using mobile services. The result of study claims that it has same results with previous TAM, especially between personal innovativeness and attitude toward use have strong statistical relations. On the other hand, there haven't been any statistical relations between perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness and between perceived usefulness and behavioral intention, either. In conclusion, use of mobile service can be promoted by developing various kinds of mobile service, designing device and interface to use mobile service more convenience and familiar, stimulating user's innovative characters and recognizing mobile service more useful in real life.

The active rule system is a key element of the rule-based mobile agent middleware system for activeness and autonomy of the sensor network. The rule manager, which is the main components of active rule based mobile agent framework and active rule system, performs the control and management of the rule-related processes. In this paper, we design and implement the roles and functions of the rule manager in detail. The proposed rule manager plays an important role in the sensor network environment. The sensor data server loads the active rule on the mobile agent by the rule manager according to the situations, and the mobile agent migrates to the destination node and performs the designated action. This active rule-based mobile agent middleware system presents the usefulness for the various sensor network applications. Through the rule execution experiment using the rule-based mobile agent, we show the adaptability and applicability of rule-based mobile agent middleware system to the dynamic environmental changes in sensor networks.

Having information is most important at the present age. Internet is main source of obtaining information and mobile telecommunication let people communicate each other without any time and space limitation. Recently, advanced technology in telecommunication makes two-way service possible. So, the mobile internet service combined internet with mobile telecommunication is widely and rapidly promoted. Therefore user can transmit and receive a lot of information without time and space restriction using various application technologies. This paper deals with machinery that makes human do office work conveniently in vehicle using mobile internet service. Namely, it tries to design mobile internet machinery combining of wireless payment, GPS module, mobile internet, and mobile office etc. And that can transmit and receive e-mail or documents etc. This machinery has various objects, and design process has complexity. To reduce trial error and processing complexity, Axiomatic Design Method is used to design the machinery.

In this paper, we propose a grid-based efficient routing protocol for a mobile sink in wireless sensor networks. In the proposed protocol, the network is partitioned into grids and each grid has a grid head. For the efficient routing to a mobile sink, the proposed protocol uses a mobile sink representative node to send the data to a mobile sink and grid heads are used as a mobile sink representative node. Furthermore, the proposed protocol uses nodes in the boundary of the center grid as position storage nodes. The position storage nodes store the position of a mobile sink representative node and provide source nodes with it for data delivery. With these features, the proposed protocol can reduce a lot of overhead to update the position information and improve the delay of data delivery to a mobile sink. The proposed protocol performs better than other protocols in terms of the delay and the energy consumption per node in the performance evaluation.
