태백산분지내 백악기화강암류의 화학조성과 관련광상 (Chemical Composition of the Cretaceous Granitoids and Related Ore Deposits in the Taebaegsan Basin, Korea)

  • Mineral commodities of metallic ore deposits related to Cretaceous granitoids in the Taebaegsan basin are distinguishable by rock types, diffferenciation index (D.I.) and chemical compositions. Deposits of Fe-Cu are related to granodiorite-quartz monzonite, those of Pb-Zn and W-Mo to granite-granodiorite and granite respectively. The ranges of D.I. of the granitoids are 39~71 for Fe-Cu deposits, 68~81 for Pb-Zn deposits, 78~89 for W-Mo deposits and 91~94 for Mn deposits. Major oxides of $K_2O$, CaO, MgO, FeO and $TiO_2$ and some trace elements and Rb/K, Sr/Ca and Cu/Fe also show distinguishable differences among the Cretaceous granitoids related to various mineral commodities of the ore depsits.

Synthesis and Emission Properties of Ca1-1.5xMoO4:Tbx3+ Green Phosphors

  • 녹색 형광체 $Ca_{1-1.5x}MoO_4:Tb_x{^{3+}}$ 세라믹 형광체를 고상 반응법을 사용하여 $Tb^{3+}$ 이온의 농도를 변화시키면서 소결 온도 $1050^{\circ}C$와 환원 온도 $950^{\circ}C$에서 각각 5 시간과 2 시간 반응시켜 합성하였다. 형광체의 결정 구조, 여기 및 발광 특성의 변화를 각각 X-선 회절 장치와 광여기 발광 분광기를 사용하여 측정하였다. XRD 결과로부터, 합성된 모든 형광체 분말의 주 피크는 (112)면에서 회절된 신호임을 확인할 수 있었다. 형광 특성의 경우에 여기 스펙트럼은 303 nm를 중심으로 넓은 밴드를 형성하였고, $Tb^{3+}$ 이온의 농도가 증가함에 따라 550 nm에 주 피크를 갖는 녹색 형광 스펙트럼의 세기는 감소하였다.

모발의 탈색 및 퍼머넌트 웨이브 효과에 따른 다-원소금속 성분의 함량 분석 (Analysis of multi-elemental concentration in hair according to effect of permanent wave and bleaching agents)

  • Variations of the twenty one metal components (Mg, Al, V, Cr, Co, Sr, Ba, Na, K Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, As, Hg, Pb, Ca, P, Mo, Cd, Sb) were analyzed in human hair sample by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The effect of bleach and permanent wave manipulation on the elemental composition of hair were investigated. It was found that the composition of hair varied with hair bleach and permanent wave. Hair sample was collected from male in the age of thirties. Hair sample (0.05 g) was added to the Teflon digestion bomb together with 1.5 mL of nitric acid and an appropriate amount of In as an internal standard. The sample was then decomposed in the microwave digestion system. In normal hair, the contents of V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, As, Mo, Cd, Sb and P were increased in permanent wave hair, and Mg, Al, V, Co, Sr, Ba, Na and K were increased in bleached hair. But Mg, Al, Sr, Ba, Hg, Pb, Na, K, and Ca contents were decreased with permanent wave hair, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, As, Hg, Pb and Ca contents were decreased with bleached hair.

  • $Ca^+-(CO)_n$,과 $Ca^+-(CO_2)_n$ (n=1,2) complex에 대한 구조와 결합 에너지를 MP2/6-311++G(2d,p) 방 법과 B3LYP/6-311++G(2d,p) 방법에 의해 계산하였고 vibrational frequencies도 계산하였다. $Ca^+-(CO)_n$의 경우 C-bonded complex와 O-bonded complex가 다 가능함을 보였고, $Ca^+-(CO)_2$에서는 선형과 $C_{2v}$ 형태가 나타남을 볼 수 있었으며 더 안정한 형태는 $C_{2v}$ 구조로 밝혀졌다. $Ca^+-(CO_2)_2$에서도 선형과 $C_{2v}$ 형태를 볼 수 있는데 이 경우는 선형이 근소한 에너지 차이로 더 안정한 것으로 나타났다.

스파크플라즈마 소결에 의한 Ti-Nb-Zr-Mo-CPP 생체복합재의 기계적 성질 및 생체적합성 (Mechanical Properties and Biocompatibility of Ti-Nb-Zr-Mo-CPP Biomaterial Fabricated by Spark Plasma Sintering)

  • The Ti-6Al-4V extra low interstitial (ELI) alloy has been widely used as an orthopedic implant material because of its excellent mechanical properties and biocompatibility. However, it still has many problems, including a high elastic modulus and toxicity of the Al and V elements. Therefore, non-toxic biomaterials with a low elastic modulus need to be developed. A high energy mechanical milling (HEMM) process is introduced to improve the effect of sintering. Rapid sintering of spark plasma sintering (SPS) under pressure was used to make an ultra fine grain of Ti-25 wt.%Nb-7 wt.%Zr-10 wt.%Mo-(10 wt.%CPP) composites with bio-attractive elements for increasing strength. These composites were fabricated by SPS at $1000^{\circ}C$ at 60 MPa using HEMM powders. During the sintering process, $CaTiO_3$, TixOy, and CaO were formed because of the reaction between Ti and CPP. The effects of CPP content on the physical and mechanical properties of the sintered Ti-Nb-Zr-Mo-CPP composites were investigated. The biocompatibility and corrosion resistance of the Ti-Nb-Zr-Mo alloys were improved by the addition of CPP.

Vacuum-Bridgman법에 의한 UV grade 형석$(CaF_2)$단결정 성장 ($CaF_2$ single crystals growth for UV grade by vacuum-Bridgman method)

  • 대구경(직경 4inch이상) $CaF_2$ 단결정성장을 위하여 vacuum-Bridgman 장치를 구성하였으며, 성장속도 2mm/hr, 성장온도구배 $12^{\circ}C$/cm의 조건하에서 성장한 $CaF_2$ 단결정은 우수한 물성을 갖는 것으로 분석되었다. 우산형(umbrella shape)의 Mo thermal reflector를 사용한 경우에 polycrystalline으로의 성장을 제거할 수 있었다. 성장우선방위는 (111)면이었으며, 분말 XRD법에 의한 peak로부터 $5.460\AA$의 격자상수를 구하였다. 또한 XRD분석에 의하면 제2상은 형성되지 않았으며, EPD값은 $1.4{\times}10^4 \textrm{cm}^{-2}$이었다. 성장된 결정은 UV영역의 광학부품용도로 사용하기에 적합한 투과율 91%이상의 특성을 나타내었다.

  • 앞선 논문에서 ${K_2}O$-CaO-${P_2}{O_5}$유리의 용출 특성을 이용한 유리질 비료로서의 가능성을 보고한바 있으며, 본 연구에서는 ${K_2}O$-CaO-${P_2}{O_5}$ 조성에 식물의 성장에 필요한 미량원소인 B, Mg, Zn, Fe, Cu, Co, Mo을 첨가한 유리를 제조하였으며, 제조된 유리의 용출 특성을 pH와 ICP분석을 통하여 관찰하였다 미량원소가 첨가된 유리의 경우 첨가전의 pH값의 변화와 차이가 없었으며, 모유리의 안정화에 영향을 미치지 못함을 알 수 있었다. 첨가된 미량원소의 용출량은 모유리조성과 첨가된 함량에 비례하였으며, 이러한 원소들의 용출속도는 모유리 조성에 의하여 결정되었다.

골격근 수축에 있어서 근장그물로부터의 Ca$^{2+}$ 유리 기전에 대한 고찰 (Review of Sarcoplasmic Reticulum Ca$^{2+}$ Releasing Mechanisms in Skeletal Muscle Contraction)

  • Skeletal muscle cells are activated by ${\alpha}$-motorneurons which release acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction. This results in a local depolarization of surface membrane which triggers an action potential. The action potential propagates along the surface membrane and also into the T-tubule system. In the triads T-tubules are in close connection with the terminal cisternae of the sarcoplasmic reticulum(SR). The action potential activaies T-tubule voltage sensors(DHP receptors). which activates SR Ca$^{2+}$ release channels(ryanodinc receptors). Ca$^{2+}$ have a key role in skeletal muscle in that an increase of free myoplasmic Ca$^{2+}$ concentration. The process of coupling chemical and electrical signals at the cell surface to the intracellular release of Ca$^{2+}$and ultimate contraction of muscle fibers is termed excitation-contraction coupling(ECC). Coupling of cel1 surface signals to intracellular Ca$^{2+}$ release proceeds by several mechanisms in skeletal muscle cells. This review focus on sarcopiasmic reticulum(SR) Ca$^{2+}$ releasing mechanisms from sarcoplasmic reticulum in the skeletal muscle. The mechanisms include DCCR, CICR, and HCR.

Dy3+와 Eu3+ 이온이 동시 도핑된 CaMoO4 형광체의 합성과 발광 특성 (Synthesis and Photoluminescence Properties of Dy3+- and Eu3+-codoped CaMoO4 Phosphors)

  • $Dy^{3+}$- and $Eu^{3+}$-codoped $CaMoO_4$ Phosphors were synthesized by using the solid-state reaction method. The crystal structure, morphology, and optical properties of the resulting phosphor particles were investigated by using the X-ray diffraction, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, and photoluminescence spectroscopy. XRD patterns exhibited that all the synthesized phosphors showed a tetragonal system with a main (112) diffraction peak, irrespective of the content of $Eu^{3+}$ ions. As the content of $Eu^{3+}$ ions increased, the grains showed a tendency to agglomerate. The excitation spectra of the synthesized powders were composed of one strong broad band centered at 305 nm in the range of 220 - 350 nm and several weak peaks in the range of 350 - 500 nm resulting from the 4f transitions of activator ions. Upon ultraviolet excitation at 305 nm, the yellow emission line due to the $^4F_{9/2}{\rightarrow}^6H_{13/2}$ transition of $Dy^{3+}$ ions and the main red emission spectrum resulting from the $^5D_0{\rightarrow}^7F_2$ transition of $Eu^{3+}$ ions were observed. With the increase of the content of $Eu^{3+}$, the intensity of the yellow emission band gradually decreased while that of the red emission increased. These results indicated that the emission intensities of yellow and red emissions could be modulated by changing the content of the $Dy^{3+}$ and $Eu^{3+}$ ions incorporated into the host crystal.
