The flow pattern and the solid-liquid mass transfer coefficient in figure-eight shaking vessels were observed by experimental method. The flow patterns, mixing time, power consumption and mass transfer coefficient in the figureeight shaking vessels changed irregularly with increase in the shaking frequency. Any frequency, even in the Fr = 0.095 or more became clear experimentally. The region of the optimum operating condition of the figure-eight shaking was larger than that of the reciprocal shaking. The solid-liquid mass transfer coefficient was correlated with the same correlation as that of the rotary shaking vessel of existing. The gas-liquid mass transfer coefficient of the figure-eight shaking vessel was also correlated with the same type of correlation as that of the rotary shaking vessel of existing.
Simultaneous measurements using a scanning spectrograph system and transmissometer were performed for the first time over an urban site in Gwangju, Korea, to derive the ambient $NO_2$ volume mixing ratio. The differential slant column densities retrieved from the scanning spectrograph system were converted to volume mixing ratios using the light traveling distance along the scanning line of sight derived from the transmissometer light extinction coefficients. To assess the performance of this system, we compared the derived $NO_2$ volume mixing ratios with those measured by an in situ chemiluminescence monitor under various atmospheric conditions. For a cloudless atmosphere, the linear correlation coefficient (R) between the two data sets (i.e., data derived from the scanning spectrograph and from the in situ monitor) was 0.81; the value for a cloudy atmosphere was 0.69. The two sets of $NO_2$ volume mixing ratios were also compared for various wind speeds. We also consider the measurement errors, as estimated from an error propagation analysis.
GMO labeling system in South Korea stipulates three labeling methods: GMO labeling, no labeling and Non-GMO labeling. Products labeled as Non-GMO are not allowed for unintentional commingling of GMO without tolerance. However, consumers vary their acceptance of Non-GMO label on the unintentionally commingled products and willingness to pay according to the mixing rate, rather than devalue the whole products as useless. Additionally, consumers do not believe that the acceptable mixing rate should be discriminated between non-labeled products, which allow up to 3% of unintentional GMO contamination, and Non-GMO labeled products. Information on unintentional GMO mixing mainly refers to the mixing rate, but the Non-GMO content remaining even after commingling is also important information. The decline in value is alleviated when consumers are exposed to positive information, such as Non-GMO content, rather than when exposed to negative information, such as the mixing rate. Loss Aversion Coefficient is relative depending on whether the information representing the loss is positive or negative. Information that a Non-GMO labeled product contains X% GMO is more sensitive than information that (100-X)% Non-GMO remains.

In this paper, the characteristics of compensation for interferenced mid-channel signal by neighbor channels through four-wave mixing (FWM) process dominantly is investigated as a function of channel input power, fiber dispersion coefficient and transmission length in WDM system with equally spaced channels. The compensation method used in this research is mid-span spectral inversion(MSSI). The highly nonlinear dispersion shifted fiber (HNL-DSF) is used as a nonlinear medium of optical phase conjugator (OPC) in order to compensate wideband WDM signals. First, we confirmed that the effect of FWM on channel interference is gradually reduced as fiber dispersion coefficient becomes gradually smaller, independent of signal format. And, we confirmed that RZ is better than NRZ as a modulation format for transmitting high power channel with allowable reception quality. But realization of flexible WDM systems regardless of channel number variation is possible by using NRZ rather than RZ format.

The properties of concrete with addition of microgel - containing hydrogel support were investigated. As a result of measuring the slump of the self - healing concrete, the target slump was satisfied in all the mixing conditions, but the slump was decreased as the mixing amount of the hydrogel support increased. The change of porosity due to incorporation of hydrogel support was minimal. As a result of the evaluation of the compressive strength of the self - healing concrete, the incorporation of the hydrogel support did not affect the strength. However, under the same mixing condition, the dispersion value of the specimens tended to increase with increasing hydrogel support contents. As a result of the permeability test of self-healing concrete according to the incorporation of hydrogel support, it was confirmed that the mixing ratio of hydrogel support was effective to decrease the permeability coefficient.

The momentum transfer in axisymmetric turbulent boundary layer over a rotating cone submerged in a free stream was studied by experiments and numerical analysis. In numerical analysis the velocity profiles were calculated by finite difference method using Prandtl mixing length concept, and the results were compared with experimental results. The agreement was good. By the numerical analysis the wall fircition coefficient was increased as the Reynolds number increased when the rotational speed is large, but the wall friction coefficient was decreased as the rotational speed increased.
Subchannel code is one of the effective simulation tools for thermal-hydraulic analysis in nuclear reactor core. In order to reduce the computational cost and improve the calculation efficiency, empirical correlation of turbulent mixing coefficient is employed to calculate the lateral mixing velocity between adjacent subchannels. However, correlations utilized currently are often fitted from data achieved in central channel of fuel assembly, which would simply neglect the wall effects. In this paper, the CFD approach based on spectral element method is employed to predict turbulent mixing phenomena through gaps in 3 × 3 bare tight lattice rod bundle and investigate the flow pulsation through gaps in different positions. Re = 5000,10000,20500 and P/D = 1.03 and 1.06 have been covered in the simulation cases. With a well verified mesh, lateral velocities at gap center between corner channel and wall channel (W-Co), wall channel and wall channel (W-W), wall channel and center channel (W-C) as well as center channel and center channel (C-C) are collected and compared with each other. The obvious turbulent mixing distributions are presented in the different channels of rod bundle. The peak frequency values at W-Co channel could have about 40%-50% reduction comparing with the C-C channel value and the turbulent mixing coefficient β could decrease around 25%. corrections for β should be performed in subchannel code at wall channel and corner channel for a reasonable prediction result. A preliminary analysis on fluctuation at channel gap has also performed. Eddy cascade should be considered carefully in detailed analysis for fluctuating in rod bundle.
The purpose of this study is to utilize recycled concrete aggregates as permeable pavement materials. This study evaluates mechanical properties and durability of porous concrete depending on mixing rates of recycled aggregates and polyme. As a result, void ratio and permeability coefficient of porous concrete for pavement increased a little as mixing rate of recycled aggregates increased. Void ratio and permeability coefficient increased a lot as mixing rate of polymer increased. As polymer was mixed $20\%$, national regulation of permeable concrete for pavement($8\%$ and 0.01cm/sec) was met. Compressive strength and flexural strength decreased as mixing rate of recycled aggregates increased but they increased a lot as mixing rate of polymer increased. Even when recycled aggregates were mixed $75\%\;with\;10\%$ polymer mixed, national regulation of pavement concrete(18MPa and 4.5MPa) was met. In addition, regarding sliding resistance, BPN increased as mixing rate of recycled aggregates increased. But BPN decreased as polymer was mixed. Compared to crushed stone aggregates, abrasion resistance and freeze-thaw resistance decreased as mixing rate of recycled aggregates Increased. When polymer was mixed, abrasion resistance and freeze-thaw resistance improved remarkably. Compared to non-mixture, $10\%$ mixture of polymer improved abrasion resistance and freeze-thaw resistance about $8.6\%$ and 3.8times respectively.

This study was performed to control the thermal crack of the mat footing slab in the multi-purposed buildings. In this study, we executed the mixing design of concrete to satisfy the workability and the quality according to the site conditions. And, we evaluated quantitatively about the possibility of thermal crack by using hydration heat analysis system. Finally, we proposed the optimal mixing conditions, curing methods and curing period which all factors are considered. As a result, the optimal mixing conditions were : W/B 41%, unit binder 375kgf/$\textrm{m}^3$, FA replacement ratio 20%. Lowest thermal stress was 22.0kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and at that time thermal crack index was over 1.5, when the coefficient of thermal conductivity was lowest among the curing conditions. And, the total curing time was estimated at 6.7 days according to curing steps.
