수직 원형관내 혼합대류 유동영역지도의 유효성 검토 (Validity Review of Mixed Convection Flow Regime Map in Vertical Cylinders)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존에 알려진 수직 원형관내 혼합대류 유동영역지도에 대하여 원 문헌의 분석과 재구성을 통해 지도의 유효성 검토를 수행하였다. 지도를 구성하는 원 문헌을 수집하여 내용을 정리하였고 조사한 데이터와 대류열전달 상관식을 활용하여 독립적으로 지도를 재구성하고 기존의 지도와 비교하였다. 재구성한 지도에는 혼합대류 영역이 곡선이 아니라 직선으로 나타났으며 천이영역을 나타내는 것은 재현되지 않았다. 일부 데이터만 포함된 기존의 지도와 달리 재구성 지도에는 상당히 많은 양의 데이터가 포함됐다. 기존의 유동영역지도는 활용된 데이터가 선택적으로 사용되었고, 혼합대류와 천이영역을 나타내는 실선 대해 언급되지 않았으며 불확실도 분석을 통한 정보를 제공하지 않았기 때문에 신뢰할 수 없다고 판단된다. Metais와 Eckert의 연구 이후, 혼합대류에 관한 많은 연구가 수행되었으나 대류의 유동영역을 구분하는 방법으로 기존의 지도가 지금까지 활용되고 있다.

KNOTOIDS, PSEUDO KNOTOIDS, BRAIDOIDS AND PSEUDO BRAIDOIDS ON THE TORUS

  • In this paper we study the theory of knotoids and braidoids and the theory of pseudo knotoids and pseudo braidoids on the torus T. In particular, we introduce the notion of mixed knotoids in S2, that generalizes the notion of mixed links in S3, and we present an isotopy theorem for mixed knotoids. We then generalize the Kauffman bracket polynomial, <; >, for mixed knotoids and we present a state sum formula for <; >. We also introduce the notion of mixed pseudo knotoids, that is, multi-knotoids on two components with some missing crossing information. More precisely, we present an isotopy theorem for mixed pseudo knotoids and we extend the Kauffman bracket polynomial for pseudo mixed knotoids. Finally, we introduce the theories of mixed braidoids and mixed pseudo braidoids as counterpart theories of mixed knotoids and mixed pseudo knotoids, respectively. With the use of the L-moves, that we also introduce here for mixed braidoid equivalence, we formulate and prove the analogue of the Alexander and the Markov theorems for mixed knotoids. We also formulate and prove the analogue of the Alexander theorem for mixed pseudo knotoids.

Financial Data Assessment Using Table-Graph-Mixed Reality Visualization

  • Usability and knowledge drawn from utilizing various ways of representing accounting data were examined. Classroom experiments were conducted to compare students' assessment of financial data using table of numbers, 2-dimensional column graphs (2D), 3-dimensional column graphs (3D), and mixed reality visualization of true 3-dimensional graphs (MR). The results showed that in assessing the financial status and performance of a firm, Table of numbers and MR took longer than 2D and 3D graphs. The time spent on true 3D graphs using MR technology was about the same as Table of numbers. When compared the assessment scores of the firm's financial status and performance between participants and experts, the difference was the least when participants used 2D graphs. However, MR was seen as being a new way to provide data of greater complexity and was very useful for financial information.

  • 본 논문에서는 범주형과 연속형 변수들이 혼합된 데이터에 적용할 수 있는 나무형 군집화 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 특히 혼합된 변수들이 공통의 의미를 갖도록 하기 위해 범주형 변수들을 전처리하는 방법을 고안하였다. 수치 예로서 SPSS의 신용(credit) 데이터와 독일신용자료(German credit data)에 알고리즘을 적용하고 그 결과를 검토하였다.

  • Credibility models are actuarial tools to distribute premiums fairly among a heterogeneous group of policyholders. Many existing credibility models can be expressed as special cases of linear mixed effects models. In this paper we propose a nonlinear credibility regression model by reforming the linear mixed effects model through kernel machine. The proposed model can be seen as prediction method applicable in any setting where repeated measures are made for subjects with different risk levels. Experimental results are then presented which indicate the performance of the proposed estimating procedure.

  • 일반화된 선형 혼합 모형(GLMM)은 자료가 계수의 형태로 나타나는 범주형 자료의 경우, 혹은 집락의 형태나 과산포된 비정규 자료, 또는 비선형 모형에 따르는 자료를 다루기 위한 모형 설정에 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 이에 대한 개요와 더불어, 이 모형의 적합을 위해 제시된 통계적 기법들중 의사가능도(quasi-likelihood: QL)를 이용한 추정 방법 및 Monte-Carlo 기법을 이용한 추정 방법들에 대해 조사하였다. 또한 GLMM에 대한 현재의 연구 방향 및 앞으로의 연구 가능 주제들에 대해서도 언급하였다.

Performance Evaluation of WiMedia UWB MAC Protocol Algorithm Supporting Mixed Video and Shipboard Control Data Traffic

  • This paper applies WiMedia UWB network into a wireless ship area network (WSAN) so as to support high-quality multimedia services on board and reliable instrument control information as well, since the need for mixed high-quality video traffic and shipboard control data traffic is essential for a high-cost valued digital ship. Thus, in this paper, prioritized contention access (PCA) and distributed reservation protocol (DRP) based on WiMedia UWB (ECMA-368) MAC protocols are combined and proposed to such mixed traffic environment, by varying the portions of superframe according to traffic type. It is shown that the proposed WiMedia UWB MAC protocol can provide reliable mixed video and shipboard control data traffic as well.

  • In this paper, we propose a mixed driving circuit for the source driver of QVGA-scale TFT-LCD driver IC to reduce the area of the source driver. In the mixed driving circuit, graphic data pass or go through the mixed channel driver whether RGB data are the same or not. The mixed driving circuit has been designed in transistor level using the 0.35um CMOS technology and has been verified using Hspice.

SATURATION-VALUE TOTAL VARIATION BASED COLOR IMAGE DENOISING UNDER MIXED MULTIPLICATIVE AND GAUSSIAN NOISE

  • In this article, we propose a novel variational model for restoring color images corrupted by mixed multiplicative Gamma noise and additive Gaussian noise. The model involves a data-fidelity term that characterizes the mixed noise as an infimal convolution of two noise distributions and the saturation-value total variation (SVTV) regularization. The data-fidelity term facilitates suitable separation of the multiplicative Gamma and Gaussian noise components, promoting simultaneous elimination of the mixed noise. Furthermore, the SVTV regularization enables adequate denoising of homogeneous regions, while maintaining edges and details and diminishing the color artifacts induced by noise. To solve the proposed nonconvex model, we exploit an alternating minimization approach, and then the alternating direction method of multipliers is adopted for solving subproblems. This contributes to an efficient iterative algorithm. The experimental results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed model compared to other existing or related models, with regard to visual inspection and image quality measurements.
