Fabrication of Ultra-Fine TiO$_2$ Powders Using Supercritical Fluid (초임계 유체를 이용한 초미립 TiO$_2$ 제조)

  • In order to fabricate ideal powders new processing is necessary in which the solute atoms in solution ra-pidly move to mix each other to the degree of molecular level the viscosity of solution should be low not to effect the moving of solute atoms and the powders could be directly obtained as crystalline. Supercritical fluid is defined as condensed gas sated up to its critical pressure and temperature. In this paper su-percritical fluid methods were studied as a new ceramic processing of powder preparation. The crystalline powders of TiO2 which are useful for electronic ceramic materials were fabricated by hydrolysis of titanium (IV) ethoxide using ethanol as a supercritical fluid at the condition of 270$\pm$3$^{\circ}C$, 7.3 MPa for 2hr. The cry stalline anatase powders could be directly obtained and its primary particle size was 20 min.

Creep analysis of CFT columns subjected to eccentric compression loads

  • By considering the creep characteristics of concrete core under eccentric compression, a creep model of concrete filled steel tubes (CFT) columns under eccentric compressive loads is proposed based on the concrete creep model B3. In this proposed model, a discrete element method is introduced to transform the eccentric loading into axial loading. The validity of the model is verified by comparing the predicting results with the published creep experiments results on CFT specimens under compressive loading, together with the predicting values based on other concrete creep models, such as ACI209, CEB90, GL2000 and elastic continuation and plastic flow theory. By using the proposed model, a parameters study is carried out to analysis the effects of practical design parameters, such as concrete mix (e.g. water to cement ratio, aggregate to cement ratio), steel ratio and eccentricity ratio, on the creep of CFT columns under eccentric compressive loading.

  • This paper presents a headphone system which has adopted two algorithm to increase sound clearness and to separate signal from noisy environment. In the field of adaptive signal processing, LMS algorithm which is a kind of steepest decent method, can be implemented with more simple calculation, so that we use it to eliminate unwanted noise elements for the proposed system. Futhermore we generate early echo using some delays, then mix it in signal. This process can increase the clearness of signal. In this paper, we prove that the proposed system can be implemented in real time. The proposed system is satisfied to subject assessment test base on MOS(Mean Opinion Score) of ITU-T.

  • This paper presents the fundamental study on rational manufacture of Ultra High Strength(VHS) concrete using industrial by-products as like silica fume, slag and fly ash. In this study, we had tested various mixing cases to manufacture the UHS concrete(target compressive strength : over $1,000kgf/cm^2$) which is easily workable (target slump flow : $60{\pm}10cm$). The main variables are studied: 1) to find the optimum replacement ratio of mineral admixture. 2) to find a rational water-binder ratio and a proper binder content. 3) to find the method for reduction of slump loss. From the test results, it is concluded that the rational mix design can be made by using 40% slag, 10% silica fume. We found that compressive strength of UHS concrete increases according to decreasing W/B ratio but in W/B ratio 18~20%, the difference is vague and the compressive strength does not necessarily increase according to increasing binder content over 700kg.

As for locational situation and types of public space researched and analyzed in this thesis, those space were left alone with short analyzation on main consumers level as well as short recognition of public space for all of the six combined facilities of dewelling and commercing

A Basic Study on Reduction of Autogenous Shrinkage of High Strength Mortar by Plant Edible Oil (식물성 유지류에 의한 고강도 모르터의 자기수축 저감에 관한 기초적 연구)

  • This study reviewed the reduction effect of autogenous shrinkage of high strength mortar by plant edible oils based on existing studies, in an effort to find the method of reducing autogenous shrinkage of high strength concrete. To summarize the results, first as characteristics of fresh mortar, substitution of plant edible oil showed slight reduction in liquidity. Compressive strength was reduce at age of 28 days compared to plain mix regardless of type and substitution ratio. Ratio of change in the length of autogenous shrinkage of high strength mortar by plant oils was found to reduce compared to the plain, and the reduction effect was most satisfactorγ in bean oil.

  • The stochiometric mix of evaporating materials for the $ZnGa_2Se_4$ single crystal thin films were prepared from horizental furnace. To obtains the single crystal thin films, $ZnGa_2Se_4$ mixed crystal were deposited on throughly etched Si(100) by the Hot Wall Epitaxy (HWE) system. The temperates of the source and the substrate were $590^{\circ}C$ and $450^{\circ}C$, respectively. The crystalline structure of single crystal thin films was investigated by the double crystal X-ray diffraction(DCXD). Hall effect on this sample was measured by the method of van der Pauw and studied on carrier density and mobility dependence on temperature.

  • Linear Programming(LP) is the term used for defining a wide range of optimization problems in which the objective function to be minimized or maximized is linear in the unknown variables and the constraints are a combination of linear equalities and inequalities. LP problems occur in many real-life economic situations where profits are to be maximized or costs minimized with constraint limits on resources. While the simplex method introduced in a later reference can be used for hand solution of LP problems, computer use becomes necessary even for a small number of variables. Problems involving diet decisions, transportation, production and manufacturing, product mix, engineering limit analysis in design, airline scheduling, and so on are solved using computers. This technique is called Sequential Linear Programming (SLP). This paper describes LP's problems and solves a LP's problems using the neural networks.

  • This paper presents a robust vibration control methodology for smart structural systems. The governing equation and associated boundary conditions of the smart structural system are derived by using Hamilton's principle. The assumed mode method is used to discretize the governing equation into a set of ordinary differential equation. A robust controller is designed using a linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach for the multiobjective synthesis. The design objectives are to achieve a mix of H$_{\infty}$ performance and H$_2$ performance satisfying constraints on the closed-loop pole locations in the presence of model uncertainties. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of LMI approach in damping out the multiple vibration modes of the piezo/beam system.

A Study on Qualities and Components of Wax Patterns (납형의 성질(性質) 및 성분(成分)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • This study was aimed at obtaining a desirable wax pattern for inlay. The method used was to analyze, mix, and heat several kinds of waxes, comparing the temperatures of their components. The result was Type C wax. In type C the amount of paraffin was generally contained(60$\sim$70%) was reduced to 45% and there was mixed 10%-15% of carnauba, which was intended for the wax not to soften readily at low temperatures. The type C has some advantages for general use: handy preparation, high safety, and economy. The inlay waxes commonly used contracted if the temperature fell from 38 to 28, but the contraction of type C was observed to be 0.2%$\sim$0.4% in proportion to the 10 fall. This was more characteristic in mixing.
