이산 사건 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 기반의 다수 무인기 임무 할당 및 최적화 기법 (Multi-UAV Mission Allocation and Optimization Technique Based on Discrete-Event Modeling and Simulation)

  • 본 연구는 복잡한 다수 무인기 시스템을 효율적으로 운용하기 위해 이산 사건 모델 기반의 다수 무인기 이종 임무 할당 기법을 제안한다. 이종 임무의 생성, 임무 할당, 무인기 출동, 임무 수행, 무인기 수리 및 정비에 이르는 무인기의 임무 시작에서 종료까지 일련의 과정을 이산 사건 모델링을 통해 수학적으로 정의하고, 이를 기반으로 주어진 임무 상황에서 필요한 최적 무인기 대수를 도출한다. 도출된 최적 무인기 대수를 적용하여 이산 사건 모델 기반의 반복 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 결과를 검증한다. 제안된 이종 임무 할당 기법으로 운용자는 제한된 무인기 자원을 효율적으로 활용하여 주어진 임무 상황에서 최적의 임무 계획을 수립할 수 있다.

큐브위성 STEP Cube Lab.의 지상국 시스템 설계 (Design of Ground Station System for CubeSat STEP Cube Lab.)

  • CubeSats classified as pico-class satellite require a ground station to track the satellite, transmit a command, and receive an on-orbit data such as SOH (State-of-Health) and mission data according to the operation plan. For this, ground station system has to be properly designed to perform a communication to with the satellite with enough up- and down-link budgets. In this study, a conceptual design of the ground station has been performed for the CubeSat named as STEP Cube Lab. (Cube Laboratory for Space Technology Experimental Project). The paper includes a ground station hardware interface design, link budget analysis and a ground station software realization. In addition, the operation plan of the ground station has been established considering the STEP Cube Lab. mission requirements.

  • We present the current status (as of August 2014) of SPICA (Space Infrared Telescope for Cosmology and Astrophysics), which is a mission optimized for mid- and far-infrared astronomy with a cryogenically cooled 3m-class telescope. SPICA is expected to achieve high spatial resolution and unprecedented sensitivity in the mid- and far-infrared, which will enable us to address a number of key problems in present-day astronomy, ranging from the star-formation history of the universe to the formation of planets. We have carried out the "Risk Mitigation Phase" activity, in which key technologies essential to the realization of the mission have been extensively developed. Consequently, technical risks for the success of the mission have been significantly mitigated. Along with these technical activities, the international collaboration framework of SPICA has been revisited, which resulted in la arger contribution from ESA than that in the original plan. To enable the ESA participation under the new framework, a SPICA proposal to ESA is under consideration as a medium-class mission under the framework of the ESA Cosmic Vision. The target launch year of SPICA under the new framework is the mid-2020s.

  • The strategic UAV for theater level ISR(Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) mission typically has numerous ground targets over area of responsibility(AOR) or area of operation(AO). It is necessary to automatically incorporate these multitude of ground targets into mission planning process in order to collect ISR images before actual flight mission. In addition, weather information such as wind direction and/or velocity may have significant impacts on the qualities of collected sensor images, especially in SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) images. Thus weather factors in the operation altitude should also be considered in the mission planning stage. In this study, we propose a novel mission planning scheme based on target scheduling and deviation correction method incorporating weather factors.

국내외 대학도서관의 발전계획과 전략적 계획 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Development Plans and Strategic Plans of Academic Libraries in Korea and Overseas)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 국내 대학도서관의 발전계획과 선진국 대학도서관의 전략적 계획을 비교하여 국내 대학도서관 발전계획의 개선 방안을 제시하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 국내외 주요 대학의 도서관 발전계획과 전략적 계획을 수집하여 비교하고 루브릭 평가를 시행하였다. 분석 결과, 국내 대학도서관의 발전계획은 당면 과제와 개별 업무 위주로 작성되는 경향이 짙고 사명과 비전의 제시가 미흡한 반면, 선진국 대학도서관의 전략적 계획은 사명과 비전을 명확하게 제시하고 그러한 틀에서 목적과 목표 및 세부업무를 설정함으로써 도서관의 장기적 발전을 견인하는 양상을 보였다. 이 연구는 결론으로 국내 대학도서관에서의 사명과 비전의 천명, 사서 중심의 태스크포스 결성, 사명과 비전과 세부 계획의 연계 등을 제시하였다. 이 연구는 국내 대학도서관 사서들이 전략적 계획을 수립하는 데 기여할 수 있다. 이 연구의 의의는 국내 대학도서관에서 전략적 계획을 수립하고 평가할 때 기초적인 고려사항으로 활용될 수 있다는 점이다. 향후 연구로 전략적 계획을 개발하고 시행하는 국내 대학도서관에 대한 사례연구, 국립도서관 및 공공도서관에서의 발전계획과 전략적 계획의 비교연구 등이 필요하다.

  • Since Korea disclaimed to open the ports, Korean architecture has met the impetuous transformation. Although there would be various factors of this transformation, the new-coming architecture by missionary seemed to be a significant one, and many researches have been carried out on this theme in diverse viewpoints. However, because these researches have preponderated on the Catholic tradition, it is deficient for clarify the whole history of mission architecture. Therefore, this research has the meaning to enrich the history of Korean modern architecture by making balance. First of all, this paper is focused on the activities of one missionary, Graham Lee. He is a practical missionary at the beginning, his architecture made a critical influence in Korean traditional architecture. Graham Lee was born in Rock Island, Illinois, 1861, and he determined to become a missionary through grown up. He spent his boyhood by working as a plumber for his purpose and studied in a university afterward. Graduating of McComick Theological Seminary, he was nominated as a pioneer of Pyeng Yang Mission Station and set foot in Korea, September of 1892. Since then he started to erect missionary facilities in Pyeng Yang, such as Well House(1898), Pyeng Yang Central Church(1900-1901), Pyeng Yang Academy(1902). These all his works are designed with eclectic style which shows western and Korean traditional style intermingled. This unique characteristic made a profound influence to the Korean mission architecture afterwards. Especially, the L-type plan of Pyeng Yang Central Church, which is first shown by him, is recognized very unique, and this plan type had been spread all over the country. Therefore the L-type plan became the peculiar feature of the early Korean churches. Furthermore, working with Korean carpenters, he taught them new skills of modem buildings. After that, they were expanded out northern part of Korea and took the roles of master builders. According to this expansion, his particular style had got spread and had been settled as a unique eclectic style in Korean modern architecture. In the conclusion, he is evaluated to be a critical pioneer missionary, who left a big influence on the frame work of Korean modern architecture in the transitional times.

  • Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST) and Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) are preparing for the first Korean astronaut program based on the mid and long-term basic plan for space development of Korea from the year of 2003. KARI is making plans for the Korean astronaut's missions with Russia. To participate in the International Space Station (ISS) utilization through the Korean astronaut program, KARI investigates a lot of manned space missions. Among the suggested items, Earth observation on the Russian Module of ISS is the one expected mission for a Korean astronaut. This paper is intended to give readers a brief introduction of ISS Russian Module and research fields of Earth observation for astronaut's mission.

Microwave Radiometer for Space Science and DREAM Mission of STSAT-2

  • The microwave instruments are used many areas of the space remote sensing and space science applications. The imaging radar of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is well known microwave radar sensor for earth surface and ocean research. Unlike radar, microwave radiometer is passive instrument and it measures the emission energy of target, i.e. brightness temperature BT, from earth surface and atmosphere. From measured BT, the geophysical data like cloud liquid water, water vapor, sea surface temperature, surface permittivity can be retrieved. In this paper, the radiometer characteristics, system configuration and principle of BT measurement are described. Also the radiometer instruments TRMM, GPM, SMOS for earth climate, and ocean salinity research are introduce. As first korean microwave payload on STSAT-2, the DREAM (Dual-channels Radiometer for Earth and Atmosphere Monitoring) is described the mission, system configuration and operation plan for life time of two years. The main issues of DREAM unlike other spaceborne radiometers, will be addressed. The calibration is the one of main issues of DREAM mission and how it contribute on the space borne radiometer. In conclusion, the radiometer instrument to space science application will be considered.

SMART 평가기법을 통한 도서관 장기발전계획 평가에 관한 연구 - B대학교 학술정보관의 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Evaluation of Long-term Development Plans for Libraries with SMART Method: Focus on a Case of the B University's Library)

  • 본 연구는 도서관 장기발전계획에 대한 점검과 평가를 통하여 도서관에서 전략적 계획수립이 갖는 의미를 재인식하고, 나아가 B대학교 학술정보관의 수립사례에 대한 집중적인 탐구와 분석을 통하여 타산지석의 교훈을 얻고자 한 것이다. 이를 위하여 SMART 평가기법을 도입하여 B대학교 학술정보관 장기발전계획에 명시된 비전, 사명, 핵심전략, 실행계획에 대하여 각각의 구체성, 측정가능성, 달성가능성, 적실성, 시간계획성을 측정, 평가하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, B대학교 학술정보관의 비전은 Be the Smart Library, 사명은 Initiative User, Intelligent Environment, Informative Content, 핵심전략은 이용자정보소양 강화. $24{\times}7$서비스 실현, 주제별조직 활성화. 5A(Any time, where, service, device, network) 실현, Broadbanding LPR(Library Public Relations), Intelligent 건물구축, E-자원 확충, 정보자원수집과 관리의 경제성 확보, U-library 구현이다. 둘째, SMART 평가결과, B대학교 학술정보관의 비전은 3.80, 사명은 3.97 핵심전략은 3.74, 실행계획은 3.64이다. 셋째, B대학교 학술정보관 장기발전계획의 구체성은 4.06, 측정가능성은 3.72, 달성가능성은 3.68, 적실성은 3.90, 시간계획성은 3.58이다. 넷째, B대학교 학술정보관의 장기발전계획을 종합평가한 결과, 발전계획 구성 요소에서는 사명이 가장 우수한 반면, 실행계획에는 문제가 있다. 다섯째, SMART 평가 요소에서는 구체성이 가장 우수한 반면, 시간계획성에는 문제가 있어 보완이 필요하다.

  • New Seoul city hall completed in 1926 is a registered historical building. The remodeling plan has been developed for the expansion after the review by the governmental agency. Based on the plan, a new city hall should be constructed behind the current city hall while the facade, the main lobby and the dorm structure of the existing building, A new construction method, FUSEM, has been developed for this mission for the safety of the historical structure.
