라텍스와 광물질 첨가제가 레미콘LMC (Remicon Latex Modified Concrete) 내구성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Latex and Mineral Additive on Durability of Remicon LMC)

  • 라텍스 첨가는 콘크리트의 압축 및 휨거동, 부착강도, 염화물 저항성 및 동결융해 저항성의 향상을 유도할 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 이유로, 기존 포장 콘크리트 보다 LMC에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 소음이나 공사비용등을 비롯한 문제점 때문에 LMC의 성능을 향상시키기 위한 새로운 방법들이 시도되고 있으며, 최근, LMC의 문제점을 해결하고자 레미콘 LMC가 개발되었다. 본 연구에서는 레미콘 LMC의 내구성을 라텍스와 광물질 첨가제의 혼입 비율에 따라 비교하였다. 실험결과, 레미콘LMC는 압축강도, 휨강도, 부착강도가 한국 도로공사 전문 시방서 기준을 만족하였으며, 레미콘LMC의 내구성은 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 레미콘LMC에 라텍스를 8% 이상 혼입해야 기존 LMC와 동등 이상의 내구성을 확보하는 것으로 나타났다.

The Green Cement for 3D Printing in the Construction Industry

  • Currently, 3D printing technology is a new revolutionary additive manufacturing process that can be used for making three dimensional solid objects from digital films. In 2019, this 3D printing technology spreading vigorously in production parts (57%), bridge production (39%), tooling, fixtures, jigs (37%), repair, and maintenance (38%). The applications of 3D printing are expanding to the defense, aerospace, medical field, and automobile industry. The raw materials are playing a key role in 3D printing. Various additive materials such as plastics, polymers, resins, steel, and metals are used for 3D printing to create a variety of designs. The main advantage of the green cement for 3D printing is to enhance the mechanical properties, and durability to meet the high-quality material using in construction. There are several advantages with 3D printing is a limited waste generation, eco-friendly process, economy, 20 times faster, and less time-consuming. This research article reveals that the role of green cement as an additive material for 3D printing.

  • The purpose of this study was investigating the effect of 3D printing technology that changes the speed of sound (SOS) and the broadband ultrasound attenuation (BUA) by controlling the density of the media phantom. We used 3D printers which called additive manufacturing (AM) by using material with polylactic acid (PLA). The inside of the medium phantom was filled crossly with 100%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, and 50% of the material. The ultrasonic instrument measured the SOS and the BUA using a 0.55 MHz ultrasound output in opposing mode with a pair of transducers. As a result, the density of the medium phantoms with the SOS showed very high correlation (r = 0.944), but the SOS showed very low correlation (r = 0.500). It is expecting that the manufacturing and measurement method of the medium phantom using 3D printing technology will be used as basic data for ultrasonic bone mineral density.

규산염 광물질로 정수된 급이수 및 사료내 규산엽광물질 첨가제의 급여가 돼지의 성장능력 및 돈육의 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Silicate Mineral Filtered Water and Silicate Mineral Additive on Growth Performance and Pork Quality)

  • 규산염 광물질로 정수된 물과 규산염 광물질 제제를 육성 비육돈에게 급여할 때 일당 증체량 및 사료효율은 향상되었으며, 특히 규산염 처리구의 기간이 증가할수록 효과가 뚜렷하였다. 규산염 광물질로 정수된 물과 규산염 광물질 제제를 돼지에게 급여하면 처음 4주동안 성장능력이 저하되는 현상을 보였지만 시간이 지나면 회복되는 현상을 관찰할 수 있었다. 새로운 물질을 동물이 처음 섭취하였을 때 생리적으로 적응이 되지 못한 일정 기간동안 성장능력이 오히려 떨어지는 현상을 볼 수 있는데 본 실험에서 사용한 규산염 광물질에 의한 초기 성장저하의 원인도 일반적으로 알려진 명현현상의 일종이라고 생각된다. 시간의 경과에 따른 돈육의 지방산패도를 알아보기 위하여 TBA값을 측정하였는데, 돈육의 저장기간이 10일을 지나면서 규산염 처리구에서 대조구에 비해 TBA값이 완만하게 상승하는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 이같은 결과는 규산염 광물질 처리에 의해 돈육의 저장성을 높일 수 있다는 것을 보여주는 중요한 결과라고 생각된다. 관능검사의 결과를 보면 대체적으로 돈육의 냄새, 다즙성, 연도 등이 대조구보다 규산염 처리구에서 높은 수치를 나타내어 규산염으로 정수된 물과 규산염 광물질 제제를 돼지에게 급여하였을 때 소비자들의 돈육에 대한 기호도를 높일 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다. 본 실험의 결과를 종합적으로 고려할 때 돼지사료에 규산염 광물질 제제를 첨가하고 규산염 광물질로 정수된 물을 급여한다면 육성, 비육돈의 성장능력의 향상을 기대할 수 있고, 돈육의 산패가 억제되어 저장성을 높일 수 있었다. 이같은 경향은 조리된 돈육의 관능검사 결과에서도 비슷하게 나타났다. 그러나 돼지에게 규산염 광물질로 정수된 물과 규산염 광물질 제제를 급여하였을 경우 급여초기에 성장능력이 저하되는 현상이 나타나는 것으로 보아 본 제품을 살제로 일반 양돈장에서 사용할 경우 최소한 2개월 이상의 장기급여가 권장되어야 한다고 할수 있다.

기유와 첨가제 혼합 전 다등급 윤활유의 성능 예측 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발 (Development of a Simulation Program to Predict the Performance of the Multi-grade Lubricant before Blending Base Oil with Additives)

  • Generally, to product multi-grade oil like engine oil, a sort of mineral base oil is mixed with a fundamental additive package liquid and a polymer liquid as viscosity index improver in order to improve the lubricating property of base oil. That is, engine oil is the mixture of more than two fluids. Specially, a polymeric type liquid cannot be seen as the linear viscosity like Newtonian fluids. In this research, by using the governing equation describing non-Newtonian hydrodynamic lubrication related with the mixture of incompressible fluids based on the principle of continuum mechanics, it will be compared the bearing performance between the mixture of each liquid to be blended and multi-grade engine oil as a single fluid in a high speed hydrodynamic journal bearing. Further, it is to be found the way estimating the performance of the blended multi-grade engine lubricant in a journal bearing in advance before blending by using the physical properties of mineral base oil, fundamental additive liquid and polymer liquid of viscosity index improver. So, it can be reduced the number of trial and error to get the wanted lubricant by selecting the proper volume fraction of each liquid to satisfy the expected performance and estimating in advance the performance of various multi-grade oils before blending. Therefore, it can be shorten the developing time and saved the developing cost.

팽창재 및 수축저감제를 이용한 고성능 콘크리트의 수축특성 (Properties on the Shrinkage of High Performance Concrete Using Expansive Additive and Shrinkage Reducing Agent)

  • 본 연구에서는 플라이애쉬, 고로슬래그 미분말 및 실리카 퓸 등 광물질 혼화재를 사용하는 고성능 콘크리트에서 자기 및 건조수축을 저감하기 위한 방안으로 팽창재, 수축저감제 및 팽창재와 수축저감제를 병용 사용하는 것에 대하여 분석하였다. 실험결과, 팽창재 및 수축저감제 혼입은 적정 혼입률 범위내에서 유동성 및 공기량에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되었으며 재령 91, 180일의 강도발현도 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 팽창재 5%, 10%에서는 플레인 콘크리트와 비교하여 자기수축을 32∼68%, 건조수축은 25∼49% 감소하는 것으로 나타났고, 수축저감제 혼입률 0.5%, 1.0%에서는 플레인 콘크리트와 비교하여 자기수축은 18∼34% 및 건조수축은 16∼26% 저감하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 팽창재와 수축저감제를 병용한 경우의 EA-SR배합에서는 수축저감의 효과가 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 플라이애쉬, 고로슬래그 미분말 및 실리카 퓸 등 광물질 혼화재를 사용한 고성능 콘크리트의 수축을 저감시키기 위해서는 팽창재와 수축저감제를 병용 사용하는 것이 효과적인 것으로 판단된다.

내마모첨가제가 첨가된 식물성유의 마모특성연구 (Wear Properties of Vegetable Oils Formulated with Some Antiwear Additives)

  • There has been a growing concern for the use of mineral oil based lubricants because of the worldwide interest in environmental issues. This has prompted the use of vegetable oils as more environmentally acceptable base fluids. In view of this, four-ball wear test was carried out to investigate the tribological behavior of selected vegetable oils blended with ZDDP, TCP and DBP under high speed and temperate conditions. Of the additive evaluated, the new additive, DBP has provided antiwear performance superior to the two other additives more commonly used. This superior performance by DBP is probably caused by different wear mechanism. This wear mechanism has been evidenced by the surface analysis of worn balls conducted using optical microscope and EDAX.

Effectiveness of mineral additives in mitigating alkali-silica reaction in mortar

  • The effectiveness of mineral additives in suppressing alkali-silica reactivity has been studied in this work. Experimentation has been performed in accordance with the procedures prescribed in ASTM C 1567. In the scope of the investigation, a quarry aggregate which was reactive according to ASTM C 1260 was tested. In the experimental program, prismatic mortar specimens measuring $25{\times}25{\times}285mm$ were produced. Ten sets of production, three specimens for each set, were made. Length changes were measured at the end of 3, 7, 14 and 28 days and then expansions in percentage have been calculated. Fly ash, silica fume, and metakaolin have been used as cement replacement in different ratios for the testing of the alkali-silicate reactivity of the aggregate. In the mixes performed, the replacement ratios were 20%, 40%, and 60% for the fly ash, and 5%, 10%, and 15% for the silica fume, and 5%, 10%, and 15% for the metakaolin. Mixes without mineral additives were also produced for comparison. The beneficial effect in suppressing alkali-silica reactivity is highly noticeable as the replacement ratios of the mineral additives increase regardless of the type of the mineral additive used. Being more concise, the optimum concentrations of using silica fume and metakaolin in mortar in suppressing ASR is 10%, respectively, while it is 20% for fly ash.

고속 열유체 저어널 베어링에서 단일유체로서의 다등급 엔진 오일과 그 첨가액체들의 혼합물에 대한 성능 비교 (The Performance Comparison between the Mixture of Each Liquid to be Blended and Multi-grade Engine Oil as a Single Fluid in a High Speed Thermo-hydrodynamic Journal Bearing)

  • To product multi-grade oil like engine oil, a sort of mineral base oil is mixed with a fundamental additive liquid package and a polymer liquid as viscosity index improver in order to improve the lubricating property of oil. That is, engine oil is the mixture of more than two fluids. In this paper, it will be systematically organized the governing equation describing non-Newtonian thermo-hydrodynamic lubrication related with the mixture of incompressible fluids based on the principle of continuum mechanics. Then, in order to find how the thermal analysis effect on the bearing performance lubricated with the mixture of multi-fluids, it will be compared to the performances between the mixture of each liquid to be blended and multi-grade engine oil as a single fluid in a high speed journal bearing. It is found that, in the case of lower viscosity oil, the difference of pressure distribution between the above two cases turns out to be existed, even if the load capacity is same level.

혼화재를 사용한 콘크리트의 응결 시간에 미치는 초지연제의 영향 (Super Retarding Agent Affecting Setting Time of Concrete Using Mineral Admixture)

  • This paper reports the influence of super retarding agent(SRA) on the setting time of concrete incorporating mineral admixture including fly ash(FA), expansive additive(EA), silica fume(SF), blast furnace slag(BS) and blast furnace slag along with fly ash(BS+FA). An increase in SRA resulted in retarding the setting time of control concrete, while the use of mineral admixture led to a delay of setting time markedly, compared with that of control concrete under no SRA content. Meanwhile, An increase in SRA in concrete with mineral admixture exhibited comparable setting delay with control concrete. Furthermore, in case of the use of BS and SF, acceleration of setting time was observed with increase of SRA content. It is considered that proper dosage of SRA of concrete with SF and BS to secure similar setting delay with control concrete require rather larger than that of control concrete. Accordingly, For concrete with mineral admixture, in order to decide the proper dosage of SRA, application of correction factors is needed.
