The successful elucidation of the opiate receptor and its natural ligands has generated speculation that other drugs might interact with cellular sites designed to accommodate endogenous mediators. The properties of binding sites for the cardiac glycosides(CG), together wit the potency and specificity of the digitalis drugs suggest that CG mimic an endogenous digitalis-like factor. Recenthy, several laboratories have reported the potency in mammalian tissues and fluids of unidentified materials that share certain specific propeties of the CG. Identification of body's own digitalis might yield a natural co pound whose synthetic analogs may provide safer and more effective drugs than can be achieved by structural edification of the CG of plant origin.

The bivariate data in clinical research fields often has two types of failure times, which are mark variable for the first failure time and the final failure time. This paper showed how to generate bootstrap data to get Bayesian estimation for the joint distribution of bivariate survival times. The observed data was generated by Frank's family and the fake date is simulated with the Gamma prior of survival time. The bootstrap data was obtained by combining the mimic data with the observed data and the simulated fake data from the observed data.

This paper proposes a layered protocol to interpret voice commands of the user´s own language to a machine, to control it in real time. The layers consist of speech signal capturing layer, lexical analysis layer, interpretation layer and finally activation layer, where each layer tries to mimic the human counterparts in command following. Numerical Simulation was performed to investigate the role of vortex generator. Vortex generator installed on the upper surface of the wing, generates vortex flow, mimic the external flow with boundary layer flow and transfer energy from outside to wall boundary. Vortex generator, thus, retards the flow separation and increases the lift and drag of the wing.

Scaffolds play a crucial role in the tissue engineering. Biodegradable polymers with great processing flexibility and biocompatability are predominant scaffolding materials. New developments in biodegradable polymers and their nanocomposites for the tissue engineering are discussed. Recent development in the scaffold designs that mimic nano and micro features of the extracellular matrix (ECM) of bones, cartilages, and vascular vessels are presented as well.

As of these, the exterior design of the public transportation systems, especially electric multiple, tends to mimic advanced country's design rather than design of car shape reflecting cultural and spiritual background. However, in the new transportation system, the design which satisfies the transportation demand must be changed into the design which creates transportation demand. In this respect, this research focuses on the factor's embodiment which is perceived by Korean passenger sympathetic to cultural and spiritual needs. The results of this research are Korean AGT design on rubber tire AGT, steel wheel AGT, LM AGT system and environmental design related to AGT systems.

디지털 기술을 기반으로 한 조속기 제어시스템의 제어 알고리즘에 대한 적합성과 하드웨어의 신뢰성 시험을 위한 다이나믹 테스트 베드를 구축하기 위해 증기 터빈 및 발전기의 특성을 그대로 모사하는 시뮬레이터 및 하드웨어를 개발하였으며, 개발된 시뮬레이터를 사용자(시험자)가 그 기능들을 적절하고 편리하게 사용할 수 있도록 인간공학의 원칙을 반영하여 설계하였다. 이를 위해 시뮬레이터가 가져야 하는 기능들을 시험 절차의 분석을 통해 도출하고 그 기능들을 사용 목적에 따라 적절하게 그룹핑하였으며, 가장 빈번하게 사용하는 Mimic Display의 경우 사용자가 항상 확인 가능하도록 주 화면에 구성한 인간-기계 연계 설계에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

We present the numerical implementation, simulation, and validation of the high-velocity impact experiments that have been described in the companion article. In this part, numerical investigations and simulations performed to mimic the tests are presented. The experiments were analyzed by the explicit integration-based software ABAQUS for improved simulations. Targets were modeled with a damaged plasticity model for concrete. Computational results of residual velocity and crater dimensions yielded acceptable results.
