Purpose: This study was done to describe the return to work experience of military officers with cancer. Methods: Individual in-depth interviews with 15 participants were conducted between September 2013 and April 2014. Participants were interviewed 1~4 times; interviews continued until the data became saturated. Data were analyzed using Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory. Results: The core category emerged as "living a new life after enduring difficulties". The return to work process consisted of four sequential phases: chaos, positive thought formation, behavior practices, and reformation. Action/interaction strategies used by military officers with cancer to resolve enduring difficulties were controlling emotions, accepting reality, prioritizing health, making efforts to improve relationships, and looking for future jobs. Conclusion: These results will promote understanding of military officers' return to work experience following cancer survival, and will be helpful in developing more effective nursing interventions through enhanced perspectives and insights of practitioners.

This paper surveys the mechanical properties of nylon high tenacity coarse yarn and fabric for military and technical textiles. For this purpose, 6 kinds of yarns and 2 kinds of fabrics are prepared. The yarn physical properties such as yarn count, thermal shrinkages, and tensile properties are measured and discussed with the characteristics of the domestic and imported yarns. And, the physical and mechanical properties of these fabrics are also measured and discussed with the usage of these fabrics in the military and technical textiles fields. Hereafter, the differences of physical properties between domestic and foreign yarn specimens for high functional military and technical fabrics are estimated through this study.

본 연구의 목적은 병사들의 독서요구를 반영하는 병영도서관의 장서개발 정책 수립을 마련하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 있다. 연구 방법으로 2개 사단의 육군 병사 1,000명을 대상으로 한 독서실태 설문 조사와 병영도서관 현장 방문 및 면담 등이 포함되었으며. 병사들의 독서량과 독서방법 및 경향. 도서입수경로. 독서의식과 환경 등이 분석되었다. 연구 결과 장서의 다양화와 정기간행물을 포함한 신간 확보의 필요성이 확인되었고. 이를 개선하기 위한 방안으로 독서 문화 조성을 위한 프로그램의 개발과 예산 및 제도적 지원 등이 제안되었다.

From the beginning of 1990s, the leading countries, especially United States, are trying to develop dual-use technology which can be used for both military and commercial purpose, and to improve the efficiency of management system in logistics and procurements. Considering the global trends, Department of Defence has been seeking for solutions as to how to reform military specifications, and launched specification unification projects. As a result of the project, a series of dual-use standards for hardwares are being developed in the form of Korea Industrial Standards(KS standards). However, there are many of foreign standards, which are not readily interpretable by users, referenced in the standards. In this study, needs for the conversion of referenced foreign standards to KS standards are reviewed and the appropriate approaches as to the conversion are suggested.

The purpose of this paper is to present reliability analysis procedures for repairable systems and apply the procedures for assessing the reliabilities of two subsystems of a specific group of military equipment based on field failure data. The mean cumulative function, M(t), the average repair rate, ARR(t), and analytic test methods are used to determine whether a failure process follows a renewal or non-renewal process. For subsystem A, the failure process turns out to follow a homogeneous Poisson process, and subsequently, its mean time between failures, availability, and the necessary number of spares are estimated. For subsystem B, the corresponding M(t) plot shows an increasing trend, indicating that its failure process follows a non-renewal process. Therefore, its M(t) is modeled as a power function of t, and a preventive maintenance policy is proposed based on the annual mean repair cost.

In next war, it will be expected that some requirement such as information acquisition, battlefield surveillance and control, increased power projection, precision attack by guided missile and electronic warfare may have special importance. The use of robot weapon system by Airforce will make up for some weak points of man based weapon system that Airforce currently has. And Airforce man/robot combined air vehicle weapon system can extend military operational theater and give its flexibility in next war where power, mobility and information should be all-in-one for military purpose.

This paper deals with (s, S) spare part inventory model. Maintaining appropriate spare parts is one of the most important military affairs related to the readiness of military forces. In the problem under consideration, a military unit possesses n equipments and all the n equipments should be in operational readiness for the military purpose. The lifetime distribution of a part has been assumed to be exponential. This paper suggests the reorder point and order quantity under the assumption that the lifetime distribution of a part is weibull.

Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effects of grit, nursing work environment, and job esteem on the intent to stay among military hospital nurses. Methods: This study employed a descriptive cross-sectional design. Data were collected from February 7 to 18, 2022 from 232 nurses working at four military hospitals under the Armed Forces Medical Command. The analysis was conducted using the SPSS/WIN 26.0 program, and descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson coefficient correlations, and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results: Factors affecting the intent to stay included job esteem (β=.44, p<.001), total clinical experience of more than 10 years (β=.24, p=.001), and nursing work environment (β=.17, p=.009). Conclusion: The results can be used to ensure personnel quality at military medical institutions and can contribute to improving patient safety and medical services. Further, nursing managers need to formulate and implement strategies to foster a positive nursing work environment.

본 연구의 목적은 현역 병사들의 군생활적응을 돕기 위한 기초 자료를 마련하고자 자아존중감, 대인관계불안, 우울이 군생활적응과 어떤 직 간접 관계를 가지고 있는지를 파악하였다. 연구대상은 현역병사 127명이며, 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 자아존중감이 높을수록 대인관계불안의 정도가 낮아지고, 우울의 정도도 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 자아존중감이 높을수록 군생활적응의 정도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 대인관계불안이 클수록 군생활적응 정도가 낮아지고, 대인관계불안이 클수록 우울이 심해지는 것으로 나타났다. 자아존중감이 군생활적응에 간접적으로 영향을 미치고 있었는데, 그 사이를 매개하고 있는 변수가 대인관계불안임을 확인하였다. 이상과 같은 결과를 바탕으로 관련된 변수들의 직 간접 관계를 중심으로 군생활적응을 돕기 위한 논의와 제언을 하였다.

군용차량은 군수품 상용화에 의해 민수 기술 및 민수품의 비중이 크다. 군용차량 엔진의 경우 방산용 엔진을 개발하지 않고 민수용 엔진을 군용화 하고 있다. 이로 인해 민수용 엔진에 대한 민간 법령 및 군용화에 필요한 작전요구 성능이 이중으로 적용되어 현재 유로-6임에도 불구하고 유로-5 버전이 탑재되는 현상이 발생한다. 이에 본 연구는 논문, 기사, 국내 법령 및 제도 등을 분석하여 군용차량 배출가스 규제의 현 실태 및 문제점을 고찰하고 개선방안을 제시하였다. 개선방안으로 관련 법령을 정비하여 배출가스 인증 의무를 부과하고 전략적 중요도가 높은 차량에 한해 인증을 면제하는 방안 등을 제시하였다. 이로써 향후 군수품 상용화에 따른 민간법령 및 군 제도의 연계성을 점검하는데 기초연구로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.
