1:2:2:1 비균등 부배열을 이용한 부엽 레벨 개선 (Side Lobe Level Improvement Using a 1:2:2:1 Non-Uniformly Excited Sub-Array)

  • In this paper, we propose a new array antenna scheme which has an improved side lobe level (SLL) as well as a simplified feeding network and a high gain. The proposed array scheme is based on a non-uniformly excited sub-array. For analysis, we use an array factor of sub-array antenna. In the simulation results, the simulated SLL and gain provide more than 18.43 dB and 26.63 dBi, respectively. For the verification of the proposed design scheme, the prototype antenna with $16{\times}8$ radiating elements was designed by the proposed array scheme. The measured SLL and gain are more than 19.85 dB and 25.53 dBi, respectively. This measurement result indicates that the proposed array scheme is reasonable.

시간지연을 고려한 간접 되먹임 구조 칼만필터의 수치안정성 향상 기법 (Numerical Stability Improvement Technique for Indirect Feedback Kalman Filter in Delayed-Measurement Systems)

  • Most of weapon systems use aided navigation system which integrates inertial navigation and aiding sensors to compensate the INS errors increasing with the passage of time. Various aid sensors can be applied such as Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), radar, barometer, etc., but there might exist time delay caused by signal processing or transferring aid information. This time delay leads out-of-sequence measurements (OOSM) systems. Previously, optimal and suboptimal measurment update method for OOSM systems, where the time delay length are known, are proposed. However, previous algorithm does not guarantee the positive definite property of covariance matrix. In order to improve numerical stability for aided navigation using delayed-measurement, this paper proposes a new measurement covariance update algorithm be similar to Joseph-form in Kalman filter. Futhermore, we propose how to implement it in indirect feedback Kalman filter structure, which is commonly used in aided navigation systems, for time-delayed measurement systems. Simulation and vehicle test results show effectiveness of a proposed algorithm.

임무유형 기반 전역경로계획을 위한 가중치 결정방법 (A Method to Determine the Weights for Mission Type based Global Path Planning)

  • Global path planning for autonomous driving of unmanned ground vehicle is essential. When setting global path planning, its accuracy and effectiveness is increased if useful information such as terrain type of driving route has been reflected on global path planning. As a method to reflect the terrain type, there is a method to perform global path planning by applying the weight to each terrain type. At this time, how to assign appropriate weights corresponding to the terrain type is more important than anything. In this paper, we proposed a method to determine the weight for terrain type that may affect the results of global path planning. Moreover, we presented effective operation method and design results(GUI) to check the possibility of the use of the proposed method.

  • Tactical Multiband Multirole radio(TMMR) has been developed and under some official testings now. Our army wants TMMR to be installed in Ground Fighting Vehicles(GFVs) and be incorporated with their Battlefield Management System(BMS). Also, BMS with TMMR should communicate with BMS on FM radio which is currently under use in most of GFVs. To achieve such goals, some significant changes should be made into the present BMS and in this paper, several considerations will be presented in the both sides of hardware and software point of view.

  • Pose estimation is an important operation for many vision tasks. This paper presents a method of estimating the camera pose, using a known landmark for the purpose of autonomous vertical takeoff and landing(VTOL) unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) landing. The proposed method uses a distinctive methodology to solve the pose estimation problem. We propose to combine extrinsic parameters from known and unknown 3-D(three-dimensional) feature points, and inertial estimation of camera 6-DOF(Degree Of Freedom) into one linear inhomogeneous equation. This allows us to use singular value decomposition(SVD) to neatly solve the given optimization problem. We present experimental results that demonstrate the ability of the proposed method to estimate camera 6DOF with the ease of implementation.

생물안전 3등급 연구시설의 구성 및 이용 (Composition and Use of Biosafety Level 3 Facility)

  • Laboratory facilities for biology are designed as biosafety level 1, biosafety level 2, biosafety level 3, and biosafety level 4. Biosafety level designations are based on a composite of the design features, construction, containment facilities, equipment, practice and operation procedures required for working with agents from the various risk groups. Generally, biosafety level 3 means the facility that is appropriate for the experiments using pathogens which can cause serious diseases by aerosol transmission. The biosafety level assigned for the specific work to be done is driven by professional judgement based on a risk assessment, rather than by automatic assignment according to the particular risk group designation of the pathogenic agents to be used. In this paper, we introduced the biosafety level 3 facility operated in ADD(Agency for defense development). It contains the overview of facility, microbiological experiment, animal experiment, decontamination and waste disposal. Biosafety level 3 laboratory in ADD has served the vital role in the research of biological agents and antidote development.

크로스 아이 기법의 원추형 스캔 레이더 기만 성능 분석 (Deception Performance Analysis of Cross Eye Technique against Conical Scan Radar)

  • Cross eye technique was proposed as an angle deception jamming technique against monopulse radars. Tracking radars use monopulse or conical scan methods for angle estimation of a target. Thus, if we verify deception performance of cross eye technique against a conical scan radar, efficient jamming systems can be developed to disturb both monopulse radars and conical scan radars. In this paper, we propose a mathematical model for a conical scan radar and a cross eye system. Using the proposed model, angular deception performance of the cross eye technique against conical scan radar is analyzed.

집중호우시 군사시설물이 설치된 사면의 안정성평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Slope Stability near Military Facility in Rainfall)

  • 본 연구는 군사시설물 밀집지역에서 발생하는 산사태의 여러 원인을 분석하고 일반 설계에 적용되는 평가기준과 비교하여 군 실정에 적합한 사면붕괴 안전도 평가기준을 제시하고자 한다. 사면붕괴 발생을 예측하기 위해서 강우강도와 사면붕괴 발생과의 관계를 분석하였으며, 사면붕괴 안전성평가 기준표를 이용하는 것을 제시함과 아울러 강원산간 ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$지역에서 발생한 사면붕괴의 발생요인이 되는 강우, 지형, 지질 등의 특성을 파악하고, 군부대 주둔지역에서 나타나는 사면붕괴의 파괴현상과 지역적인 특성을 구명하고자 한다.

  • 육 해 공군 부사관은 군을 유지 발전시키고 이끌어가는 근간이므로 인력획득업무는 매우 중요하다. 현재 부사관의 모집업무는 각 군이 양성기관별로 중복 운영하면서 지원자의 진로에 대한 궁금증을 효과적으로 해소해 주지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 부사관 선발제도는 군 고유성유지와 획득전문가 활용 및 법령개정 측면에서는 유리하였지만 홍보, 선발효율성, 국민편익증진, 예산절감 등에서 미흡하다고 보여진다. 따라서 각 군별 모집에 대한 일원화를 모병업무 전담기관인 병무청에서 운영한다면 각 군의 노력과 자원을 절감하면서 우수한 간부인력을 획득할 수 있으며, 부사관 지원자들이 적시에 정확한 정보를 제공할 수 있고, 편리한 시설과 시스템을 통한 향상된 서비스를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

야전포병 무기체계의 속도오차 허용한계 (Acceptable Velocity Errors Tolerance For Field Artillery Weapon System)

  • The artillery fire is characterized by great damage that can be inflicted simultaneously to an area through concentrated firing. The field artillery guns used in R.O.K. Army are generally old. Thus high values of their velocity errors cause wide dispersion of shell landings. Therefore effects of the concentrated firing is lessened. In this paper a general model which considers all error factors involved in firing in general, is established first. Then from this a basic model which includes the errors involved in concentrated firing only, such as the ballistic error, velocity error, target density function, and damage function, is extracted. Among many weapon systems now in use a specific one called gun 'A' is selected and its concentration effects are measured through computer simulation. The results show that as the velocity error of a battery increases, its target coverage capability, i. e. concentration effect, decreases. Therefore the need arises for the field artillery commander to know beforehand characteristics, i.e. velocity errors, of the guns in his unit and also to carefully examine the problem of battery arrangement with the gun characteristics in mind in order to maximize the damage effects of his artillery unit.
