The purpose of this study was to investigate the middle school students’and their parent’s perception of the 6th Home Economics Education curriculum, their learning satisfaction, and the students’s perceived learning effect, focusing on the areas of human development and family relations. The subjects of this study were 392 middle school students, their parents and 51 Home Economics teachers in Pohang and Seoul. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, test, F test, pearson’s product correlation coefficient, and $\chi$(sup)2 test, Schff post hoc test using the SAS computer program. The result of this study were that (1) the middle school student’s and their parent’s perception of the 6th Home Economics Education Curriculum, in general, was very positive. (2) Students, teachers and parents showed high levels of learning satisfaction with the areas of human development and family relations. (3) Student’s perceived learning effect on the areas of human development and family relations was considerably high.

Practical Mathematics is one of the career elective subjects in the 2015 revised mathematics curriculum for high school. This study examined how well the practical mathematics textbooks reflect the recommendations and visions suggested by related professions and organizations with respect to career preparation, especially for students enrolling in engineering industry-focused specialized high schools. Also, this study looked more closely into the contents of practical mathematics in terms of the consistency among different textbooks and the advancement from middle school contents in similar domains.

Purpose: This study is intended to provide easy explanations needed to ensure correct understanding of the notification of health education curriculum revised in 2008, health education curriculum at middle and high schools as well as their effective application at schools. Teachers of health lessons can provide better guidance for their classes only when they are well informed of intent and direction of health lessons sought after by the nation, objective and systematic content of health lessons, teaching methods, characteristics of teachinglearning materials and their evaluation. The contents of the guide have been sufficiently detailed and clarified in such a way that can increase understanding of school health education as pursued by the nation. Methods: This is reported research as its contents have been finalized through analysis of documentary records concerned with health education available at both home and abroad, a council of health education experts and public hearings organized for extensive collection of opinions from professor and teachers. Results: The guidebook has been prepared in 5 areas covering respectively "background of revision to health education curriculum", "how health education curriculum has been changed over time", " focus on health education curriculum", "explanations on health education curriculum" and "comparison of new and previous curriculum". Also developed were key initiatives on 6 health related subjects. Conclusion: The greatest significance of this research lies in the fact that it has come up with the first guide book for health education ever prepared in our history. It is also meaningful for the guide book to enable teachers to teach their classes better by providing them with easy interpretation of the contents notified by the government and to have set guidelines for directions in which health of our youths should be promoted. Since this is the first work, continuous research and development should further be carried out in the future.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the housing unit and investigate needs of housing in Home Economics curriculum of Home Economics teachers. The questionnaire survey was conducted 98 teachers participated in the minor training course in Chungbuk, August of 2000. When the teachers made their class in the section of housing, they emphasized respectively as the textual order: the space of housing and family life, the utilization of space, clean of residing circumstance in the middle school: and in the high school there was also concerned to the textual order: choice of housing, the house planning, interior design, maintenance of house. The teachers focused into the arrange of furniture and interior design for the students in the class, drawing of a plan in the contents of practical experience and performance. According to the survey results, the main point of class in housing should be emphasized the arranging of own room and function of other spaces in house for the students in the middle school. The high school curriculum should focus on the practical area to connect with the interior design. And in the section of housing it was needed to add the contents of management in the multi-family housing, housing problems, neighborhood environment for elderly, and also community planning.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze nursing-related content in middle, and high school textbooks under the National Common Basic Curriculum in Korea. Methods: Nursing-related content from 43 middle school textbooks and 13 high school textbooks was analyzed. Results: There were 28 items of nursing-related content in the selected textbooks. Among them, 13 items were in the 'nursing activity' area, 6 items were in the 'nurse as an occupation' area, 2 items were in the 'major and career choice' area, 6 items were 'just one word' and 1 item in 'others'. Conclusion: The main nursing related content which portrayed in the middle and high school textbooks were caring for patients (7 items accounting for 46.5%), nurses working in hospitals (6 items accounting for 21.4%). In terms of gender perspective, female nurses (15 items accounting for 53.6%) were most prevalent.

교육과정이 수시 개정 체제로 변화되면서 교사의 교육과정 재구성 권한이 강화되었다. 더불어서 교육과정 재구성 실천자로서의 교사 역할 또한 중요해졌다. 그런데 선행연구들에서는 교사들이 '교육과정 재구성의 필요성에는 공감하면서도 교육과정 실천 의지에 대하여는 부정적'이라는 구조적인 문제를 가지고 있음을 지적하였다. 이에 연구자는 위계성이 강한 수학 과목의 특성과 고등학교 교사들이 평가에 민감하다는 점을 고려하여, 고등학교 수학 교사들을 대상으로 그들의 '교육과정 재구성의 필요성에 대한 인식'과 '교육과정 재구성 실천자로서 겪게 되는 어려움'에 대하여 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서는 연구에 면담 대상자로 참여한 교사 10명을 교직 경력을 10년 단위로 하여 세 집단으로 구분하였다. 또한 연구자는 각 집단을 대상으로 각각 2차시의 면담을 실시하였다. 이를 통하여 연구자는 교육과정 재구성 실천자로서의 교사들이 교육과정 재구성에 대하여 어떠한 생각을 가지고 있는지 그리고 어떠한 어려움을 경험하게 되는지 관찰할 수 있었다.

Multimedia-Assisted Language Learning(MALL) has recently been studied by many researchers. It has been reported that MALL is very effective in encouraging students' desire for learning, promoting their self-directed learning, and improving their communicative competence. Also, it has been evident that it depends on the quality of multimedia courseware whether MALL will be successful or not. However, many researchers have pointed out that most of multimedia coursewares coming into the market have little to do with our curriculum and they are not suitable for the use in the regular classroom. More multimedia coursewares that reflect our curriculum need to be developed. This paper first tries to explore the cognitive, constructivist, and psychological theories supportive of the development of multimedia courseware and then presents the overall procedure for designing and developing a multimedia courseware pursuant to the 7th English curriculum in the middle school. The multimedia courseware developed through this research is expected to enhance middle school students' communicative language skills in English and promote the development of multimedia coursewares of high quality.

교과 내용 흥미도는 교육과정 개정 및 교과서 개발에 도움을 주는 방식으로 학생보다는 교사 측면에서 연구되어왔다. 본 연구에서는 중·고 전환기에 해당하는 고등학교 1학년 학생들에게 생활 연계 차원에서 매우 의미 있는 가정과 내용을 중심으로 중학교에서 배운 내용과 고등학교에서 배운 내용에 대한 학생들의 흥미도를 알아보기 위해 고등학교 1학년 학생 227명을 대상으로 중학교 가정과 내용 17문항, 고등학교 가정과 내용 10문항으로 구성된 흥미도 검사 도구를 활용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 이를 성별 및 성취 수준별로 흥미도 차이를 분석하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 중·고 전환기인 고등학교 1학년 학생들의 경우 청소년 발달 등 자신에 관한 관심은 가족의 요구나 가정생활에 관한 관심에 비해 상대적으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 성별에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았으나, 성취 수준에 따라 내용 흥미도에 차이가 나타났다. 이는 학습자의 발달과 학교급 전환기라는 학습자의 상황, 대학 입시 등 다양한 변인들을 함께 고려하여 내용 흥미도를 해석해야 함을 의미한다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 교육과정 개정, 교과서 개발 및 교과 수업에서 고려해야 할 시사점을 제공하며, 학습자 중심 관점을 토대로 교과 내용에 대한 학습자의 흥미 정도를 세심하게 분석하고 활용해야 할 것이다.

2007년 개정 정보 교육과정은 2010년부터 적용될 예정이지만 교육과정에서 제시된 교육내용의 포괄적인 성격으로 인해 학교 현장의 교수 학습이나 평가 상황에 직접적으로 활용하기에는 한계가 있다. 따라서 새로운 교육과정에 대한 올바른 이해와 학교 현장에서 이루어지는 교수 학습 활동 및 평가 활동의 방향을 제시하기 위한 구체적인 기준과 예시를 제시할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 2007년 개정 정보 교육과정의 '정보의 표현과 관리' 영역에 관한 구체적인 성취기준과 평가기준을 개발하고 그에 따른 평가도구들을 개발하였다. 성취기준은 교육과정상의 소영역을 기준으로 학생의 입장에서 진술하였으며, 평가기준은 상, 중, 하로 구분하여 제사하였다.

This study analyzed contents of 12 kinds of middle school technology Home Economics(1) textbooks, 9 high school Technology Home Economics textbooks and 2 high school home science textbooks based on the 5 areas and 9 subject areas of 'Understanding of market and consumer', 'Reasonable consumption', 'Resolution and prevention of consumer problems', 'Formation of desirable consumption culture', 'Career and occupation related to consumption life' for the purpose of analyzing connectivity of contents in the area of 'consumption life' in the Technology Home Economics curriculum revised in 2009, and analyzed connectivity of contents on the basis of 'developed', 'repeated', 'different' and 'reduced' based on the results of analysis on the contents of the textbooks. Analysis results show that middle school Technology Home Economics(1) textbooks are mainly dealing with problems related to consumption life and ways to practice healthy consumption life, high school Technology Home Economics textbooks emphasized understanding of consumption culture in modern life and practice and method of sustainable consumption life, and high school home science textbooks contain overall contents of household financial management and consumption life. In general, contents were distributed as 'developed' 11 times (32.4%), 'repeated' 6 times (17.6%), 'reduced' 13 times (38.2%), 'different' 4 times (11.8%). Contents of the majority of textbooks are composed suitable for the curriculum achievement standard, but connectivity of 'developed' cannot be considered a desirable type of connectivity. various formation plans as suggested shall be devised not to let learning elements of 'consumption life' area discontinued considering school levels and achievement standard of curriculum.
