  • Drill process is usually used to manufacture a industry about processing, Therefore, the burr problem is very significant, The burrs took place when drill process. And then, sometimes, the burrs are often caused of some problems during automatic such as no good quality products and having good surface roughness products. And also, this paper had some experiments using magnesium. Specially, the magnesium is one of the non-ferromagnetic materials. Magnesium has attracted a lot of interest for using the industry. They offer a possible alternative to steel and aluminum in automotive and aero industries to satisfy the lightweight requirement. also, magnesium has good specific strength and absorbs vibration in occurring working process. So, it has good quality of product processing. And then, it is one of the lightest materials being used to electronic product's cases and automotive because of lightweight and miniaturization. But this material has not widely used all of the industry due to its natural property. If the magnesium is contacted water, it will cause the exploration. But, nowadays many of people study magnesium to safe their experiment and to widely use this industry.

  • The old technique of sandblasting which has been used for paint of scale removing, deburring and glass decorating has recently been developed into a powder blasting technique for brittle materials, capable of producing micro structures larger than $100{\mu}m$. Recently, this technique is applied to fabrication of the glass cap for OELD packaging. But, micro crack is generated on the blasted glass, which cause to decrease fracture strength. In this paper, we investigated the effect of blasting parameters on surface characteristics, surface shape and fracture strength of the powder blasted glass surface.

  • The o]d technique of sandblasting which has been used for paint or scale removing, deburring, and glass decorating has recently been developed into a powder blasting technique for brittle materials, capable of producing micro structures larger than $100\mu\textrm{m}$. In this study, we investigated the effect of the size of abrasive and the stand-off distance on the machinability of SUS 304. The varying parameters were the impact angle $90^{\circ}$, scanning times of nozzle 10 and the different nozzle height between 70mm and 140mm. The diameter of dot pattern were 0.2mm. The powder were alumina sharp particles, WA #600, #800 and #2000. The blasting pressure of powder at 0.3 Mpa.

In this paper, The surface characteristics of powder blasted glass surface were tested under different blasting parameter. Finally, we proposed a predictive model for powder blasting process using a neural network. A detailed analysis of the simulation results has been carried out and compared with experimental results.

A Study on the Burr Minimization in Punching Process Based on Micro Die Alignment (다이의 미세정렬을 통한 전단 버의 최소화에 관한 연구)

  • The shearing process for the sheet metal is normally used in the precision elements such as a lead frame of IC chips. In these precision elements, the burr formation brings a bad effect on the system assembly and demands the additional deburring process. In this paper, we developed the small size precision punching system to investigate burr formation mechanism and to present kinematically punch-die aligning methodology between the rectangular shaped punch and die. The punch is driven by an air cylinder and the sheet metal is moving on the X-Y table system which is driven by two stepping motors. The whole system is controlled by microprocessor and is communicated with each other by RS232C serial communication protocol. Punching results are measured manually using the SEM photographs and are compared aligning result with miss aligning one.

A large number of Investigations on the abrasive jet machining with output parameters as material removal rate, penetrate and surface finish have been carried out and reported by various authors. In this paper, we investigated the effect of surface characteristics and surface shape of the abrasive jet machined glass surface under different blasting parameter. and finally we established a model for abrasive flow machining process, and compared with experimental results.
