  • In order to fabricate uncooled IR sensors for pyroelectric applications, multilayered thin films of Pt/PbTiO$_3$/Pt/Ti/Si$_3$N$_4$/SiO$_2$/Si and thermally isolating membrane structures of square-shaped/cantilevers-shaped microstructures were prepared. Cavity was also fabricated via direct silicon wafer bonding and etching technique. Metallic Pt layer was deposited by ion beam sputtering while PbTiO$_3$ thin films were prepared by sol-gel technique. Micromachining technology was used to fabricate microstructured-membrane detectors. In order to avoid a difficulty of etching active layers, silicon-nitride membrane structure was fabricated through the direct bonding and etching of the silicon wafer. Although multilayered thin film deposition and device fabrications were processed independently, these could b integrated to make IR micro-sensor devices.

  • Transparent ZnS ceramics were synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis ($180^{\circ}C$ for 70 h), and were sintered by a hot press process at $950^{\circ}C$. To confirm the optical properties of the ZnS ceramics after sintering for various sintering holding times, we performed X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and Fourier-transform-infrared spectroscopy. The ZnS nanopowders was found to be single-phase (cubic) without any hexagonal phase. However, the hexagonal phase is formed and increases in content with increasing sintering holding time. The density of the ZnS ceramics was above 99.7%, except for the unsintered one. The ZnS ceramics showed high transmittance (~70%) when sintered for more than 2 h.

  • Recently, many researches for fine particles plasma have been focused on the fabrication of the new devices and materials in micro-electronic industry, although reduction or elimination of fine particles was interested in plasma processing until now on. In order to enhance their utilization, it is necessary to control and analyze fine particle behavior. Therefore, we developed simulation model of fine particles in RF Ar plasmas. This model consists of the calculation parts of plasma structure using a two-dimensional fluid model and of fine particle behavior. The motion of fine particles was derived from the charge amount on the fine particles and forces applied to them. In this paper, Ar plasma properties using two-dimensional fluid model without fine particles were calculated at power source voltage 15[V] and pressure 0.5[Torr]. Time-averaged spatial distributions of Ar plasma were shown. The process on the formation of Coulomb crystal of fine particles was investigated and it was explained by combination of ion drag and electrostatic forces. And also analysis on the forces of fine particles was presented.

  • Twitter, one of online social network services, is one of the most popular micro-blogs, which generates a large number of automated programs, known as tweet bots because of the open structure of Twitter. While these tweet bots are categorized to legitimate bots and malicious bots, it is important to detect tweet bots since malicious bots spread spam and malicious contents to human users. In the conventional work, temporal information was utilized for the classficiation of human and bot. In this paper, by utilizing geo-tagged tweets that provide high-precision location information of users, we first identify both Twitter users' exact location and the corresponding timestamp, and then propose an improved two-stage tweet bot detection algorithm by computing an entropy based on spatio-temporal information. As a main result, the proposed algorithm shows superior bot detection and false alarm probabilities over the conventional result which only uses temporal information.

  • Korean Blood Services have grown with history of half a century or more, and in its developing process, technological growth have contributed largely toward it. However, Korean Red Cross and public blood centers are finding difficulty in their business because the public doesn't feel necessity of blood donation and have distrust in current blood management system. Recently, smart phone shows new possibility to the modern life as it plays a role of micro PC. With this tendency, mobile application is being highlighted as a new media. Therefore this paper aims to propose an application called 'Nanumi'(tentatively named) to improve negative awareness about blood donation. For specific development suggestion, I analyzed existing theses and applications. Also, I interviewed experts in blood management and did a public survey to firm up necessity and appropriateness of this research. In this paper, I proposed structure of functions and UI design for the application.

  • This paper is considered about centerline segregation of API 5L steel used in pipeline. Mn/S, Nb and C were known as segregated elements in the centerline of pipe thickness. The Mn usually was accompanied by S consisting of long viscous shape. Microstructure of the centerline was composed of MnS and Nb/Ti indusions including oxide. The segregation effect in centerline region was analyzed by OM, SEM/EDS and micro Vickers hardness. The Mn, Nb and C are retarded elements in transformation from austenite to ferrite or martensite. These elements could derive a bainitic microstructure as a kind of martensite, which is different from difference and element segregation between in matrix and centerline derived from steel melting and heat treatment.

  • The tip geometries of the pyramidal and conical indenters used for micro/nano-indentation tests are not sharp. They are inevitably rounded because of their manufacturability and wear. In many indentation studies, the tip geometries of the pyramidal indenters are simply assumed to be spherical, and the theoretical solution for spherical indentation is simply applied to the geometry at a shallow indentation depth. This assumption, however, has two problems. First, the accuracy of the theoretical solution depends on the material properties and indenter shape. Second, the actual shapes of pyramidal indenter tips are not perfectly spherical. Hence, we consider the effects of these two problems on indentation tests via finite element analysis. We first show the relationship between the Poisson's ratio and load-displacement curve for spherical indentation, and suggest improved solutions. Then, using a possible geometry for a Berkovich indenter tip, we analyze the characteristics of the load-displacement curve with respect to the indentation depth.

  • A precision tribometer consisting of a cantilever was designed to measure frictional forces in the micro-Newton range. As frictional forces are measured based on the bending of the cantilever, vibration of the cantilever is the most significant factor affecting the quality of the friction measurement. Therefore, improved design of the tribometer with double cantilevers and a connecting plate that united the two cantilevers mechanically was suggested. For the verification of the modified design of the tribometer, numerical analysis and experiments were conducted. Examination using the finite element method revealed that the tribometer with a double cantilever and a connecting plate exhibited faster damping characteristics than the tribometer with a single cantilever. In the experiment, effectiveness of the double cantilever and connecting plate for vibration reduction was also confirmed. Vibration of the tribometer with double cantilever decreased eight times faster than that of the tribometer with a single cantilever. The faster damping of the double cantilever design is attributed to the mechanical interaction at the contacting surfaces between the cantilever and the connecting plate. Tribotesting using the tribometer with a single cantilever resulted in random fluctuation of frictional forces due to the stick-slip behavior. However, using the tribometer with a double cantilever and connecting plate for the tribotest gave relatively uniform and steady measurement of frictional forces. Increased stiffness owing to using a double cantilever and mechanical damping of the connecting plate were responsible for the stable friction signal.

The results of this study are as follows. As a result of the elongation analysis among the shape indicators, especially, Dalsung Park has the highest score 0.85 and Chimsan Park has the lowest score 0.34. In case of green shape index, Bummul Park has 1.70 and Chimsan Park has 1.40 respectively. As a result of the buffer analysis, Chimsan Park turned out to be the highest, Bummul Park turned out the lowest. Chimsan Park gets I grade in two indicators but Bummul Park gets III grade in four indicators contrastively. As a result of the possibility analysis of the urban park planning, increasing elongation index and the number of major lobes can be an improvement method. Also by changing multilayer structure, micro-multiformity and curvature are increased and buffer of edge is improved. In this study, the basic data of landscape ecology can be obtained by the character analysis of landscape ecology. This study has a significant meaning of possibility in planning of the urban park which reflects the character of landscape ecology. This research was only performed in Chimsan Park, so additional researches for various cases will be needed.
