Pb(${Mg_{1/3}}{Nb_{2/3}}$)$O_3$계 고용체의 B자리 양이온 질서배열구조 (Ordering Structures of B-Site Cations in Pb(${Mg_{1/3}}{Nb_{2/3}}$)$O_3$-Based Solid Solutions)

  • Single phae Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-based solid solutions, the Mg2+ of which are replaced by 20mol% of Ni2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, and the Pb2+ of which are replaced by 0∼20 mol% of La3+, were synthesized and their ordering structures of B-site cations were investigated by XRD and TEM. The B'-site cations (Mg2+, Ni2+, Zn2+, Cd2+) are disordered while these B'-site cations and the B"-site cations (Nb5+) are nonstoichiometrically 1:1 ordered within the ordered nano-domains dispersed in the Nb5+-rich disordered matrix. The charge imbalance between the B'-rich ordered nano-domains and the B"-rich disordered matrix are compensated by the doping of electron donor such as La3+, which enhances the degree of nonstoichiometric 1:1 ordering. For a given La3+ content, the degree of nonstoichiometric 1:1 ordering increases as the average ionic size difference between the B'-and B"-site cations increases, Ni2+

  • 더덕의 효과적인 재분화조건 (약 90%의 재분화율)을 바탕으로 개화시기 조절유전자인 RAG25 Codonopsis lanceolata유전자의 도입을 시도하였다. 더덕의 잎 절편을Agrobacterium과 3일 동안 공조배양 하였으며 NAA 2 mg/L, BA 2 mg/L (N2B2)와 NAA 2 mg/L, BA 4 mg/L (N2B4)가 첨가된 shoot inducing media (Km 20mg/L와 Cf 250 mg/L가 첨가됨)에서 배양하였을 때 형질전환 신초가 형성되었다. 획득된 신초에서 genomic DNA를 추출하고 npt II와 RAG25 primer를 이용한 PCR을 수행하여 각각 0.7 kb와 0.6 kb의 band를 확인하였다. RAG25 유전자에 대한 PCR산물을 이용하여 Southern hybridization을 수행한 결과 PCR과 동일한 위치에서 band 가 검출되어져 이 유전자의 도입을 재확인하였다.

Enhancement of lower critical field of MgB2 thin films through disordered MgB2 overlayer

  • We investigate the effect of surface disorder on the lower critical field (Hc1) of MgB2 thin films with a thickness of 850 nm, where the disorder on the surface region is produced by the irradiation of 140 keV Co ions with the dose of 1 × 1014 ions/cm2. The thickness of the damaged region by the irradiation is around 143 nm, corresponding to ~17% of the whole thickness of the film, thereby forming the disordered MgB2 overlayer on the pure MgB2 layer. The magnetic field dependence of magnetization, M(H), for the pristine MgB2 thin film and the film with overlayer is measured at various temperatures, and Hc1 is determined from the difference (△M) between the Meissner line and magnetization signal with the criterion of △M = 10-3 emu. Intriguingly, the film with the disordered overlayer shows a remarkably large Hc1(0) = 108 Oe compared to the Hc1(0) = 84 Oe of pristine film, indicating that the disordered MgB2 overlayer on the pure MgB2 layer serves to prevent the penetration of vortices into the sample. These results provide new ideas for improving the superheating field to design high-performance superconducting radio-frequency cavities.

  • By using the hybrid physical-chemical vapor deposition (HPCVD) technique, we have fabricated $MgB_2$ thick films on $Al_{2}O_3$ substrates with various impurity layers of Ni, Ti, and SiC. We have found a significant enhancement of the critical current density ($J_c$) for $MgB_2$ films grown on impurity layered substrates, indicating that additional impurity layers were provided as possible pinning sites by chemical doping in $MgB_2$ films. All samples doped by Ni, Ti, and SiC were observed to have high superconducting transition temperatures of 39 - 41 K. The $J_c$ of $MgB_2$ films grown on SiC impurity layered substrates showed three times higher than that of undoped films at high magnetic fields above 1 T.

  • At first the $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_{3}$-MgO powder with $B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$ were made by the Sol-Gel method. And then the thick films of BST-MgO with $B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$ were fabricated on the $Al_{2}O_{3}$ substrates coated with Pt by the screen printing method. The structural and dielectric properties of the BST-MgO thick film with $B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$ addition were investigated. The structure of the BST-MgO with $B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$ thick films were dense and homogeneous with no pores. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss were increased with decreasing the $B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$ addition ratio.

복합한방처방 SH21-B의 랫드와 Beagle 견에 대한 단회 경구투여 독성시험 (Acute Oral Toxicity Test of Oriental Medical Prescription SH21-B)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the acute oral toxicity of an oriental medical prescription for obesity treatment, SH21-B, in Sprague-Dawley rats and Beagle dogs. SH21-B was administered in rats at does of 0mg/kg, 2,000mg/kg, and 5,000mg/kg. And also SH21-B was administered in Beagle dogs at does of 150mg/kg, 300mg/kg, and 600mg/kg. The rats and dogs of both sexes were observed daily for 14 days after single oral administration. Two female rats, one administered at 2,000mg/kg and the other administered at 5,000mg/kg, died, but no dead animal was observed among male rats. Therefore LD50 in the female rat is observed to be 8,710mg/kg, and MLD(Minimum Lethal Dose) of the male rat is observed to be more than 5,000mg/kg. Among dogs, no dead animal was observed up to 600mg/kg and MLD is observed to be more than 600mg/kg.

  • The effect of MgO diluents in combustion synthesis of $TiB_2$ nano particles was investigated. The reaction $TiO_2\;+\;B_2O_3\;+\;xMg\;{\rightarrow}\;TiB_2\;+\;5MgO$ was used to synthesize $TiB_2$ nano particles. The combustion velocity was measured to examine the relation between the reaction temperature and the morphologies of particles. The diluent MgO did not react with the reactants and played a role to decrease combustion temperature. As the MgO diluents contents increased, the particles with the smaller size and the narrower size distribution were synthesized. At the condition of 6 mole of MgO, the combustion wave velocity was about 5 cm/see and the synthesized particles showed the size of 60 nm with narrow size distribution.

In-situ $MgB_2$ 선재의 소결온도와 SiC 함량에 따른 미세조직 및 초전도 특성 연구 (Effects of Sintering Temperature and SiC Contents on the Microstructure and Superconducting Properties of In-situ $MgB_2$ Wires)

  • We fabricated the in-situ $MgB_2$ wires using the powder-in-tube method and investigated the effects of sintering temperature and SiC contents on the microstructure and superconducting properties. Pure $MgB_2$ wires and 5, 10, 20 wt.% SiC doped $MgB_2$ wires were sintered at $600-1000^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes in Ar atmosphere. We found that $MgB_2$ phase was mostly formed at the sintering temperature of $700^{\circ}C$ and above, and the critical temperature ($T_c$) increased with increasing sintering temperature. For the $MgB_2$ sintered at $850^{\circ}C$, the highest critical current density ($J_c$) was obtained to be $3.7{\times}10^5\;A/cm^2$ at 5 K and 1.6 T by a magnetic properties measurement system (MPMS). The addition of SiC to the $MgB_2$ wires changed microstructure and critical properties. SEM observation showed that the $MgB_2$ core had considerable micro-cracks in undoped wire and the density of micro-cracks decreased with increasing SiC contents. The critical temperature decreased as the SiC contents increased, on the other hand, the critical current density of SiC doped $MgB_2$ wires in high magnetic field was enhanced compared to that of undoped $MgB_2$ wires.

  • The stainless steel sheathed MgB$_2$ tapes with Cu addition were fabricated by PIT method without heat treatment. The $J_{c}$ value of 5,600 A/ $cm^{2}$and 16,000 A/$cm^{2}$ at 4.2 K and 5 T were obtained for the $MgB_{2}$ tape and 10 vol % of Cu added $MgB_{2}$ tape respectively. The $J_{c}$-B curve shows enhancement in J$_{c}$ under magnetic field, which suggests enhancement in flux pinning property with Cu addition.n.
