재활용 산화철 및 알루미늄 분말을 활용한 철도레일 이음용 테르밋 분말 개발 (Development of Thermite Powder for Rail Joining with Recycled Iron Oxide and Aluminium Powder)

  • Nowadays in Republic of Korea, whole amount of the thermite welding powder for rail joinning is dependent on import. However the demand of the thermite welding powder would be enlarge because some constructing high-speed train and city metro projects are currently in progress. In addition this is the main reason why we should develop the thermite welding powder, domestically. This study is focused on utilizing the recyclable materials like Al powders from cans and iron oxide scales from wire rods as the main components of the thermite welding powder. By minimizing Al content in weld zone by controlling the mixing ratio of the Al powder in the thermite welding powder, the excessive dissolution of the Si and Mn components came from the Al powders could be controled. The tensile strength of welding zone in welded rail was 740 MPa, with that the developed thermite welding powder.

고속철도 서비스 확대를 위한 수도권 고속철도 확충 방안 고찰 (Method for increasing rail operation capacity of capital high speed rail with expanding the high speed railway service)

  • 정부고속철도 건설계획이 1998년 IMF로 인하여 서울 시흥구간 및 대구$\sim$부산간은 기존 경부선을 이용하여 우선 개통하고, 2단계로 대구$\sim$부산구간을 신설 개통하는 것으로 변경됨에 따라 서울도심 입출구부인 서울$\sim$시흥구간은 고속열차, 일반열차 및 화물열차의 운용운행으로 일반열차 운행횟수 축소로 인한 서비스 저하, 고속철도 서비스 추가 어려움 등으로 동 구간의 신설확장에 대한 지속적인 필요성이 제기 되어 왔으며, 호남고속철도 또한 수서 출발을 위한 강남권 고속철도 건설계획이 경제성 등의 이유로 오송에서 분기하는 것으로 변경됨에 따라 강남권 및 경기남부지역 주민들의 고속철도 서비스혜택의 기회가 박탈되는 결과률 초래하였다. 경부고속철도 개통이후 국가교통체계가 고속철도 중심으로 변화하고 있고, 경부고속철도 2단계 개통, 경전선 및 전라선 복선전칠 완공, 2014년 호남고속철도 개통시 고속열차 추가수요가 발생하나, 서울$\sim$시흥구간의 선로용량 부족으로 고속열차 광명역 출발, 일반열차 운행횟수 축소 등의 파행적인 열차운영이 불가피하므로 이와 같은 문제점을 근본적으로 해소하기 위한 강북구간 (광명$\sim$화전) 의 선로확장과 더불어 강남구간 (수서$\sim$평택)의 고속철도 신설을 추진하여야 한다. 이에 따라 본 고찰에서는 수도권 고속철도 선로확충을 위한 효율적인 열차운영방안, 시설계획 등 고려 하여야 할 사항에 대하여 검토하고자 한다.

  • Railway rail fastening system is the critical device which gives big influences to not only the vehicle driving stability and the orbit's structural stability against the impulsive load, but also the noise vibration and the ride comfort. As a part of the low-carbon green growth, the importance of the railroad industry is getting highlights on its excellent energy-efficiency and eco-friendliness. However, so far the Korea's domestic rail fastening system technology is not so good and the technical reliance to abroad is very heavy. In this study, we conducted comparative analysis on the rail fastening system with new and used one of the same type. And those systems are imported by Seoul Metro and are being used by it. With this basis, we developed the components and the materials and then, established the durability assessment methods appropriate to the Korean domestic circumstances. And through the reliability qualification test on the 7 parts of the rail fastening system, we've improved the reliability and guaranteed the 15 years of service lifetime. ($B_{10}Life15$) Establishment and standardization of Reliability Standard on the parts of the rail fastening system such as anti-vibration pads, guide-plate, screw spike made it possible to perform the internationally fair assessment. And it is thought that we can satisfy the manufactures' and consumers' needs of cost-cutting and qualification security by shortening of assessment period on rail fastening system.

도시철도 운임정책 국제비교 (International Comparison of Fare Policy in Urban Metro)

  • 최근 다양한 도시철도 노선이 건설되고, 주변노선과 연계가 이루어짐에 따라 도시철도 이용률이 증가하고 있다. 하지만, 정부는 여전히 기존의 획일적인 운임정책을 고수하고 있어, 다양한 이용패턴에 체계적인 대응을 하지 못할 뿐만 아니라, 공공성 위주의 운임정책으로 인해 운영사의 수익성 악화라는 구조적 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 본 연구는 도시철도 운임정책의 합리성을 제고하기 위해 일본, 영국 등 주요 선진국의 도시철도 운임정책을 검토하였다. 운임정책에 대한 체계적인 분석을 위해 운임결정방식, 카드운임에 대한 할인제도, 운임구조, 그리고 정부 보조금 정책 등의 관점에서 살펴보았으며, 이를 토대로 대한민국 수도권 도시철도 운임정책의 문제점 및 개선방안을 도출하였다. 본 연구를 통해 도시철도 서비스 수준과 수익성에 부합하는 적정 요금정책을 수립하여 합리적인 도시철도 운영에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

수동운전(ATS)구간에서 PSD 적용 기술의 성공적 요인 분석연구 (A Study of Successful Factor on PSD Application Technique for Manual Operation Mode(ATS))

  • 1974. 8. 15 SeoulMetro, beginning with the first electric railway established at six cities, so it is managing mass transportation of traffic. Especially, in case of seoul, It is managing that from one to eight lines, 286.9km, 265 stations have installed and now it is carrying about 5.5million of passengers everyday, and 2,000million passengers a year. So accident is increasing from the station every year. For this measure, SeoulMetro prepares safety fence for passengers crash but, as suicides or people who watch the accident took place, for at the bottom of passengers crash protection, PSD installing is needed. Even though, PSD is managing ATO section but, in controlling SeoulMetro, one to four lines sections are (ATS, ATC)section. Between as ATS, ATC section, ATO section, subway gate and PSD must have opened and crossed always at the time. And the interlock control corrosion protection gate, managing skills with installation, method, using in history, apply to 10rail cars one train sets, and maximum applying 2224% sections of passengers congested that consideration is to be needed. So 2004, SeoulMetro improved technology and basie design of PSD at ATS section. Based on this, from 2005.4 to 2006.6, using subway 2lines per 12stations set the model installation(full type 11stations, half type 1station) After installing in case of success, it is going about to suggest that effective analysis and hereafter subject.

실시간 레일절손 모니터링 시스템의 현장 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Field Application of Real-Time Monitoring System Detecting the Broken Rail)

  • As a result of the examination analyzed loop type of Detecting the Broken Rail Monitoring System as a part of prevention of train derailment, installed in the Seoul Metro No. 2 subway line 98.51m section which is Samsung to Seolleung, we found that it is possible to detect crack location(Thermit welding: 48.18m) within the margin of error of ${\pm}1m$ accurately As analysis of the first day, third day, fifty day, and seventh day periodically, we found that Fresnel reflection happened where the crack location 48.18m. However other 3 branches show loss by bending of optical cable(spread reflection from the outside impact).

  • Global warming is one of the hottest issues which should be solved for future generations. Technologies which prevent the increase of environmental warming are highlighted as the global average temperature increases. Electric vehicles (EVs) are considered to be one of the powerful solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emission. To spread the EV industry, a major premise is that a charging infrastructure is available anywhere the EV operates. In this paper, we will present the demonstration of ' EV quick charging system to the rail power grid' which are cooperated by LS CNS, Seoul Metro and Korea Railway Research Institute.

  • The Wolmi Eunha-Rail in Incheon is connecting Wolmido and Incheon Station with an elevated monorail road supported by piers. This railroad system is characterized by driverless automatic operation and moving-block based control. The main technology applied to this signal-controlled system is CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) which based on wireless communications. The CBTC system is simple in that composition so that can minimize field facilities and lowers costs of construction and maintenance. This CBTC system is emerging as a major signal-controlled system in the future metro market.

  • The wear and defects on the wheel tread are caused by the interface between wheel and rail, the suspension system on bogie, the track condition and etc, which are interacted with complex mechanism. Because of the difficulty of analysis of wheel and rail interaction, the measuring data are necessary for improvement of wheel design and maintenance of train. On this case study, the pattern of wheel wears and defects are presented and lifetime of wheel and the reprofiling period are estimated on a basis of the measured results.

유럽 도시철도 신호시스템의 표준화 동향 (The Trend of the Standardization of the Urban Guided Transport Management System in Europe)

  • Urban railway signaling system is for train operation with safety in the urban crowded area, that has been increasing the demand of use of advanced train control systems with safe. European Commission is supporting the UGTMS(Urban Guided Transport Management System) project for the research and development. The main objective of UGTMS is to provide the European urban guided transport sector (comprising metro, tram and light rail systems) with a common Management System. A key topic is the extent to which the specifications for the successful ERTMS(European Rail Transport Management System) can be adapted to UGTMS needs. Beyond this, it is necessary to define the relevant functional and system requirements for all types of urban guided transport management systems in order to improve interoperability and intermodality. Also to be explored are the prospects for open system standards. In this article, we look into the trend of the standardization through the UGTMS project in Europe and consider any benefit to the project of the standardization for the urban railway signaling system in Korea.
