We present observational evidence of the surface homogeneity on Phaethon based on the time-series multi-band photometry and spectrometry. The observations of Phaethon were conducted in Nov.-Dec. 2017. We confirmed that Phaethon is a B-type asteroid, as was previously known, and its rotational color variation was not detected. During our observation period, the sub-solar latitude of this asteroid was approximately $55^{\circ}S$, corresponding to the southern hemisphere of the body. Thus, we found that the southern hemisphere of Phaethon has a homogeneous surface from our observation results. In addition, we compared our spectra with archival data to investigate the latitudinal surface properties of the asteroid. The result showed that it doesn't have a latitudinal color variation. To verify this assumption, we investigated its solar-radiation heating effect, and the result suggested that this asteroid underwent a uniform thermal metamorphism regardless of latitude, which is consistent with our observations. Based on this result, we discuss the homogeneity of the surface of the body.

A buffer overflow attack is carried out to subvert privileged program functions to gain control of the program and thus control the host. Buffer overflow attacks should be prevented by risk managers by eradicating and detecting them before the software is utilized. While calculating the size, correct variables should be chosen by risk managers in situations where fixed-length buffers are being used to avoid placing excess data that leads to the creation of an overflow. Metamorphism can also be used as it is capable of protecting data by attaining a reasonable resistance level [1]. In addition, risk management teams should ensure they access the latest updates for their application server products that support the internet infrastructure and the recent bug reports [2]. Scanners that can detect buffer overflows' flaws in their custom web applications and server products should be used by risk management teams to scan their websites. This paper presents an experiment of buffer overflow vulnerability and attack. The aims to study of a buffer overflow mechanism, types, and countermeasures. In addition, to comprehend the current detection plus prevention approaches that can be executed to prevent future attacks or mitigate the impacts of similar attacks.

Metasediment-hosted Pb-Zn mineralized zone has been found in Dyusembay of Kazakhstan. Its petrological properties, metal index, alteration index and redox-sensitivity are compared with those of SEDEX type deposit. Mineralization is developed along foliation of host rock (graphitic phyllite) and controlled by folds and faults; major ore minerals including pyrite, pyrrhotite, sphalerite, and galena are disseminated or interlayered with fine-grained quartz. The margin of the mineralized zone is metamorphosed accompanying sericite and chlorite. Hydrothermal brecciation and Pb-Zn mineralization formed in quartz-calcite stockworks are confirmed at the around of Maytyubin granitoid intrusions. The mineralization is classified into three types according to those of occurrence, paragenesis, chemical composition and isotopic characteristics. Type 1 whose fine-grained pyrite, pyrrhotite and sphalerite are formed in parallel yet discontinuous to well-developed foliations of the host rock; its geochemistry is similar to those of the earlier stage in SEDEX-type mineralization. In case of type 2, the ore minerals of which are concentrated being parallel to a foliation by regional metamorphism, and most of them associated with quartz and muscovite (${\pm}$ biotite) paragenetically. Type 3 is formed in the hydrothermal breccia zone whose ore minerals are controlled by foliation and breccia and developed in quartz ${\pm}$ calcite veins having a form such as stratification, stockwork or veinlets. Host rocks in the mineralized zone indicate homogeneous metamorphic grade and there is no specific alteration zonation. Also, all types (type 1, type 2, and type 3) represent similar REEs patterns, it can be interpreted that these are originated from a same source. Sulphides occurred in mineralized zone indicate a limited range of sulphur isotope values (type 2, ${\delta}^{34}S=-13.3{\sim}-11.7$‰; type 3, ${\delta}^{34}S=-13.9{\sim}-8.2$‰), and a result of geothermometry presents different temperature ranges: type 2($251{\pm}38^{\circ}C{\sim}277{\pm}40^{\circ}C$); type 3($360{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ to $537{\pm}29^{\circ}C$). It is estimated to be due to the effect of metamorphism and Maytyubin granitoid intrusions, respectively. In addition, ternary chart of thorium, scandium, and zircon for discrimination of tectonic setting and redox sensitivity using V/Mo values indicate that hydrothermal sediments put on reduction environment after precipitation, before being affected by metamorphism and intrusion activity. Geochemical data are plotted on a distal trend of SEDEX-type with discrimination plot using SEDEX index. As a result, petrological-geochemical properties demonstrate that Dyusembay Pb-Zn mineralized zone is comparable to distal-type of SEDEX deposit.
Some REE ore deposits are located in the middle part the of Korean peninsula. Geotectonically, the REE ore deposits situated on the Kyemyeongsan Formation of northern margin of the Okcheon geosynclinal belt and in the transitional zone between Kyeonggi massif and the Okcheon belt, with a deep-seated fracture separating the two tectonic units. The Kyemyeongsan Formation are different in lithology and metamorphic grade from the Gyeonggi massif and the Okcheon super group. The sequence of Kyemyeongsan Formation is dominantly composed of acidic metavolcanic and volcaniclastic rocks associated with alkaline igneous rocks which are related to volcano-plutonism. The REE ore deposits contain mainly Ce-La, Ta-Nb, Y, Y-Nd and Nd-Th group minerals. More than 15 RE and REE minerals have been found in the deposits, such as allanite, fergusonite, thorite bestnaesite, euxenite, polyclase, monazite, columbite, (Nb)-rutile, okanoganite, sphene, zircon, illmenite and some other unknown minerals. According to the characteristics of the mineral association, the REE ore deposits may be divided into 4 ore types; Zircon-REE, allanite-REE, feldspar-REE and fluorite-REE type. The Sm-Nd isochron age of the REE ore is 330 Ma, and the Sm-Nd model age is 1.11 Ga with ${\varepsilon}_{Nd(t)}$ being - 2.9. This data suggest that the REE ore deposit was formed in the early Carboniferous, and the ore-forming material came from the mantle. The REE ores show distinct light REE enrichment with strong negative Eu anomaly. The REE patterns of schistose rocks from Kyemyeongsan Formation are similar to felsic volcanics from rifts or back arc basins in or near continental crust. The genesis of the REE ore deposit is quite complicated. Different geologic processes are displayed in the studied area; sedimentation, volcanic activity, metamorphism and hydrothermal replacement. Alkali granite has suffered extensive post-magmatic metasomatism of a high temperature to produce alkali metasomatites. Geochemical charateristics show that metasomatism of alkaline fluid was probably the dominant ore-forming process in Chungju district.
The discontinuity of rock is one of important elements that have impact on the dynamic movement of rock. A slope made of gneiss has complicated geological structure because of the gneiss forming process through metamorphism covering wide range and the anisotropic structure with foliation. In this study, before cutting slope, the rock of slope had been found as a good quality by the boring test. But during construction tension cracks had occurred in the section with 170m length during large-scale excavation work with depth more than 20m. Ground surface geological investigation, boring exploration, resistivity logging and borehole image processing had been done to find the causes of the tension crack. It was possible to estimate the scale of fault existing in large area through resistivity logging and geological investigation. Large scale slickenside and fault clay had been found as the result of comprehensive analysis.
Primary uraninite and secondary uranium minerals such as torbernite, metatorbernite, tyuyamunite, metatyuyamunite, autunite and metaautunite have been identified from various types of uranium ores. Uranium minerals occur as accessory minerals in both the primary and secondary ores. Low·grade uranium ores consist of various kinds of primary and secondary minerals. Major constituent minerals of primary uranium ores are graphite. quartz. Ba-feldspar and sericite/muscovite, and accessories are calcite, chlorite, fluorapatite, barite, diopside, sphene, rutile, biotite, laumontite, heulandite, pyrite, sphalerite and chalcopyrite, and secondary minerals consist of kaolinite, gypsum and goethite. Uraninite grains occur as microscopic very fine-grained anhedral to euhedral disseminated particles in the graphitic matrix, showing well·stratified or zonal distribution of uranium on auto-radiographs of low-grade uranium ores. Some uraninite grains are closely associated with very fine-grained pyrite aggregates, showing an elliptical form parallel to the schistosity. Some uraninite grains include extremely fine-grained pyrite particle. Sphalerite and pyrite are often associated with uraninite in graphite-fluorapatite nodule. The size of uraninite is $2{\mu}m$ to $20{\mu}m$ in diameter. Low-grade uranium ores are classified into 5 types on the basis of geometrical pattern of mineralization. They are massive, banded, nodular, quartz or sulfide veinlet-rich and cavity filling types. Well-developed alternation of uranium-rich and uranium-poor layers, concentric distribution of uranium in graphite-fluorapatite nodule and geopetal fabrics due to the load cast of the nodule suggest that the uranium was originally deposited syngenetically. Uraninite crystals might have been formed from organo-uranium complex during diagenesis and recrystallized by metamorphism. Secondary uranium minerals such as torbernite, tyuyamunite and autunite have been formed by supergene leaching of primary ores and subsequent crystallization in cavities.
Peak or near-peak metamorphic temperatures and pressures for Seosan area could be estimated from major element method. Temperatures calculated from garnet-biotite geothermoneter(Ferry and Spear, 1978; Ganguly and Saxena, 1984) are $620{\pm}40^{\circ}C$ and $520{\pm}20^{\circ}C$ for Seosan and Daesan Formation respectively. Presures derived from garnet-plagiciase-$Al_2Si_O_2$-quartz geobarometer(Newton and Haselton, 1981; Ganguly and Saxena, 1984)suggest 5-6kb for both of Seosan and Daesan Formation. These results suggest that under isobaric, Seosan Formation underwent relatively high temperature metamorphism compared with Daesan Formation. Chemical zonations of garnet for major elements such as Fe, Mg, and Mn in Seosan and Dasan Formation show different patterns each other probably caused by different thermal history.
This study shows the weathering characteristics of mica-schist affected by faulting and metamorphism through laboratory tests. Frozen-thaw test, which simulate the physical-chemical weathering processes in the laboratory, shows the important influence of foliation developed in mica-schist, resulting in $20{\sim}40%$ reduction of UCS according to weathering grade of rock. Slaking durability test was carried out for different weathering grade rock specimens and indicated that the specimens from fault area had a low durability index compared to other relatively fresh samples. XRD analysis allowed to estimate the dynamic evolution of mineral composition through wet-dry cycle in which the chlorite was the most important mineral leached out during slaking test. The creep test indicated that the main deformation produced along the foliation plane. The compacted clay minerals between discontinuity planes influence on the discontinuity shearing properties and result in a big difference between peak shear strength and residual strength. The results of laboratory tests on mica-schist show the possibility of a important deformation along the foliation plane or discontinuity.
Pyeonghae Series, Giseong Series. Wonnam Series, Pyeonghae Unite gneiss, Hada leuco-granite gneiss are the Precambrian gneisses distributed in the north-eastern part of the Yeongnam massif. Even though there are no difference in lithologies between Pyeonghae and Wonnam Serieses. they have been regarded as different Serieses because of the presence of Giseong Series which has been considered meta-volcanics. However, field investigations reveal that the Giseong Series represents ductile shear zone having meta-volcanics-like appearances in some outcrops. The fact that both Pyeonghae and Wonnam Serieses experienced high grade metamorphism reaching upper amphibolite facies implies that any volcanics between these two Serieses should also occur as high-grade metamorphic rocks at present. The absence of Giseong Series as a low-grade meta-volcanics indicates the absence of logical base to distinguish Pyeonghae and Wonnam Serieses. Therefore, these two Serieses should be regarded as identical Series.
$^{40}Ar-^{39}39/Ar$ ages were determined from the biotites and plagioclases separated from the Precambrian gneisses of Gyeonggi Massif. Biotites yield $1,294{\pm}46,\;1,241{\pm}39\;and\;1,217{\pm}39Ma(2{\sigma}\;errors)$, and plagioclases yield $934{\pm}25,\;872{\pm}19,\;819{\pm}15(2{\sigma})Ma$. These ages are significantly different from the U-Pb zircon ages obtained from the identical samples ($1,613{\pm}51~2,168{\pm}24Ma(2{\sigma})$, Song et al., 2001). The ages of biotites and plagioclases can be interpreted to represent independent regional thermal events. The Mesoproterozoic ages recorded by the biotites can be interpreted as a consequence of regional metamorphism followed by differential uplift. We propose that plagioclases record Neoproterozoic ages which are related with igneous activities under the regional extensional regime, related with the breakup of the supercontinent Rodinia existed at that time.
